The host is amazing! She is easy to contact and available for any issues! The apartment has everything you could ask for in a home away from home! There are plenty of towels and even towels for use at the beach!!The washer and dryer is great to have for washing anything that comes up! The kitchen has all the essentials and the views are really amazing. To top it off, having an assigned parking spot included is priceless!! Would definitely recommend and stay again!
There are absolutely no windows in the unit which likely contributed to a mildewy smell that was further amplified by the leaking washer that flooded the bedroom and hallway. It took the owner a day to respond to the leaking issue. It was never fixed. She told us to block the water with towels which left us with no towels for bathing The bathroom itself was not clean. There was black mold along the entire side of the tub, which I ended up cleaning with bleach, and it took half of a roll of paper towels to clean the bathroom. The unit is not well maintained at all. The chairs were stained. The sofa smelled musty and in the kitchen here was a used sponge provided that should the provided sponge was used and should have been thrown out. Lightbulbs were burned out.The issues were brought up to the owner and the owner tried to blame it on the Chinese cleaning woman wave hired. This was an offensive excuse for an ill maintained unit.
We are a family of 7 that visited from Michigan. We spent our days seeing everything this beautiful island had to offer. We loved the comfort of having a safe place to stay with plenty of space of all of us. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We took the time to tour many locations, meet lots of people, snorkel for hours, and eat an incredible amount of food.
We enjoyed our stay. The property was fairly centrally located to everything we wanted/needed. The layout of the apartment worked well for our group of 8. There were eateries, fresh produce markets, and convenience stores within walking distance. The building was quiet, clean, and people were respectful & helpful.
We had a horrible experience. We got to the property late at night and there was no key in the box. We had no way to contact the manager other than chat. We asked for the key and she told us she was cancelling our stay. We had no place to sleep at 11:30 pm at night with 3 children after very long travel.
We had a great time in Honolulu and loved having this condo as a home base! Honest pros and cons:Pros:1. The location is pretty central to a lot of the western part of the island. We rented a car which made it easy to get around.2. The building is secure at night and we never heard neighbors or had any loud night time interruptions.3. The apartment was very clean and although others have mentioned roaches we never saw one inside or outside of the apartment. Our family of five slept comfortably on the four total beds. 4. Communication with the owner was super easy and when we had questions or any issues popped up (nothing major) they were not only responsive but went above and beyond to make our stay awesome! 5. Check in and out was a breeze compared to other stays we have had. Cons: (none of these would be deal breakers for us staying again) 1. The apartment and building are old and as such have some wear and tear character. It’s nothing we couldn’t overlook but it is something to consider if you don’t like seeing old cracks or old curtains in the window. 2. The curtains in the one window in the bedroom are more like a small partial shade. We were always up early but if you wanted to sleep in it would make it difficult as you can’t block out much of the sun with them. 3. Parking is on the 7th floor of the garage which can be busy at times. It’s gated but going up and down can be tedious and it did always add 5-7 minutes to our leaving or arrival time.
Was surprised that it was not in the greatest location to where we wanted to be. Wished there was more windows/sunlight. Many of the tours and meeting points were in Waikiki which we had to Uber to and from. A huge roach came out of the kitchen which I killed. When checking out I was getting scammed and tricked to pay an extra charge for "losing" the key fob, and luckily I took a photo of the keys where I left them when I checked out. They photo of the "missing key fob" had the entire set of keys and lanyard completely rearranged. Also the number to contact the host was the property manager and not the host so I had to contact customer service in the beginning before my stay. In the end booking two entirely separate hotel rooms in a nice hotel in Waikiki would have costed the same as this stay after all the additional fees and we wouldn't have to pay exorbitant "cleaning fees" while having to clean up.
This was a great value for my group of 6 to stay around Honolulu for 5 nights. We appreciated the parking that came with the unit. The unit itself was spacious and easily fit the 6 of us, though be warned that the main living room does not have windows, and the bedroom only has a small window. This is not an issue if you are planning to spend most of your time outdoors, as we did. You do need to drive 10-15 mins or so to get to Waikiki, but this isn't a big issue if you will be going around the island for most of your time in O'ahu. The building is also within walking distance to Chinatown, which is great for grabbing a bite in the evening. Overall, a wonderful stay!
Great space, great host, easy check in and check out.
The instructions were very clear when we went to check in which made everything go smoothly. The condo itself was great, no issues. The pool is steps away from the room as well as the trash being close by too. You aren't close enough to walk to the beach but the public bus makes it easy to get around. Overall, very pleased with this host :)
We liked the location, the easy access, the amenities and the price! This was an overall 10/10! We would definitely recommend this beautiful condo to others!!
This is a great property! We stayed for 10 days in June. Check in process was super easy, I was a little concerned because we were checking in a 12:30 in the morning, but I didn't need to be. We had a little issue when we first got to the property but was quickly resolved first thing. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. There are lots of beach toys, snorkel equipment, beach towels and beach blankets as well as a cooler for the beach. A stroller is also there if you have a small child. The property was clean and the building was clean. A great bonus is the free parking spot in the garage. Pool and hot tub were great. Communication was great. The only suggestions would be a spatula in the kitchen. The location is downtown Honolulu so you will need to walk to the beach - 45 min to an hour. Bus picks up right around the corner if you take the bus anywhere (which we did) and is super easy. There is no 'nightlife' in this area so if you are looking for that - this would not be the place for you. We would for sure stay again.
its a great location to stay, reasonable price, and free parking. perfect for a big family.
The building is perfect
Definitely a downtown location. Great new bakery just next door. Not walkable to any beach. Loved the free parking. The building had some strong smells but baking soda in bowls helped keep our place smelling neutral. Plenty of beds for 7 people.
Really nice apartment to stay in downtown. Host was very good and communicative. Never had any trouble
My family and I had a great time. Then place was spacious and good area.
Beds for 6 with a pullout couch sleeping 2 more. Loved having enough places to sleep for my whole family. Lots of extras to make our Hawaii stay smooth, including a boogie board, sand toys, lots of snorkel gear, cooler, stroller and beach towels. It was a pain to drive up to the 7th floor every time we got back from adventures, but you can’t beat free parking!! We didn’t run into any problems and we had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry. We would definitely stay here again!
Decent place, not a great location. Bedroom needs black out shades. For a place that sleeps 8, should have 2 toast, toaster. Water pot for cooking needs to be replaced as does trash bin. Couch cushion not good. Small changes could make this apartment a better experience but overall it was fine.
The unit it self is clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our time and the convenience this place provides to all of Honolulu. The building is old and in the middle of downtown. Honolulu has a homeless population as do most large downtowns. The area felt safe, even at night. The building has a pest issue. The unit management has put a large amount of pest traps outside the door and all around the unit. This makes for a very strong pesticide smell in the unit and is absorbed into your belongings.
Loved having a bed for everyone. Loved the pool/hot tub on the same floor with an open sky. Worked great as a base for our vacation. Host is quick to communicate with any questions we had.
close to downtown and restaurant with short distant
