Hono Kai C12 is a bright 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo offering tropical views from the 3rd floor and traditional Hawaiian decor throughout. There are no elevators at this property. Unit C12 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom boasts a queen-size bed in the bedroom, which was recently purchased in August 2025. For additional guests, there is a queen-size sofa sleeper in the main living area. There is also a flat-screen TV with cable for your entertainment. The master bedroom is separated from the main living area with lovely Hawaiian-style plantation shutters. The bathroom, located next to the front door, includes a tub/shower combo. The well-stocked kitchen is convenient for making meals in-house. Dine in or sit on your private lanai to enjoy your home-cooked meals. This condo stays cool with 1 wall timed A/C unit, located between the bedroom and main living area. Unit C12 can accommodate up to 4 guests.
The condo receives a quarterly pest control spray, and the entire complex was tented in early November 2025.
Hono Kai is a beachfront property where you can enjoy a 6-mile stretch of beach with views of Haleakala and Kaho'olawe, an oceanfront pool, and BQQ areas. Additionally, there is a coin-operated laundry facility for your convenience. Hono Kai is located at Ma'alaea Bay near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to the Aquarium, enjoy exciting activities from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to either side of the island.

Cleanliness was just gross. There was grimy and greasy dust everywhere. It’s old with a lack of up keep. The curtains were falling apart. The main queen bed is old and WORE OUT and broken, the middle had a major sag. The pull out couch also sucked. There was a main light and fan that did not work. They did not provide the basics only 2 rolls of toilet paper, extra extra small dish soap and we stayed for 10days. We were not notified that the water was going to be turned off for over 8 hrs during the heat of the day. However the location is amazing And sugar beach is absolutely beautiful! It was so quiet and full of locals. We will definitely stay near here again just not this condominium.
The location was right on the beach, the facility was dated but clean, and it was perfect for a family with kids. The only thing that we struggled with was the kitchen items the blender leaked and the toaster did work but you had to manually hole it down and it only toasted one side of the bread. I called management and the blender was handled promptly but for some reason the toaster was not taken csre of. Also the pans were extrenely scratched and very difficult to cook on. Other than those minor inconveniences it was a perfect stay!
The property is in an old complex that has not been updated. It is really a studio not a one bedroom as advertised. It is rather noisy due to it being directly in the landing flight path of the airport and waves crashing on the breakwater barrier. The only positive note was the proximity to the long and beautiful beach.
Condo was everything we could ask for, clean and ready for use when we arrived, nice and quiet and a beautiful area to just relax and soak up as much sun as you would want, already planning our next stay here, as well as My Perfect Stays were right on top of anything that needed to be done.
We enjoyed being at my perfect stay, it was a memorable experience for our kids. Thank you so much my perfect stay. Will be back again next year!
Nice place, very well located, very central, close to the beach. The only cons was that the manager or administrator of the building was really rude the first time we arrived at the apartment, he told my husband that our children were not welcome, maybe he was in a bad mood, i dont know, but that was kind of bummer. although later the owner of the vrb apologized to us and had constant communication with us, it was nice to know that our problems were being addressed
The condo is extremely clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location is excellent, you can visit all the beaches in the area and find nice places to eat. I highly recommend this unit.
This is a really nice place to stay in Maui. You have everything you need and the beach is your backyard! I really enjoyed my stay. Easy process and the community was great.
After seeing the pictures of this condo, I was excited for my stay. Didn't feel the same way once I got there and saw the room in person. The condo definitely needs to be updated. We made sure to stay out all day; only coming back to the room to sleep. I feel that we overpaid for this room. A woman with a key also barged into our room on checkout day, hours before we even had to be out, making us feel extremely uncomfortable and causing us to rush out in fear that she would come back.
Carpet very stained and worn. Draperies were dirty and not hung properly on the hooks. A/C unit remote controller did not control temperature. The unit was plugged into an extension cord as was the ceiling fan and light. This is not acceptable according to electrical codes. The bed did not have a headboard, gives a very cheap impression! The stove was unbalanced and could cause a burn issue. TV and cable instructions were complicated and not correct. We did eventually figure it out. The A/C unit was also very dirty inside and out, it needs to have its filters cleaned. Finally, a $350 cleaning fee is absolutely absurd! I don't feel that the owners get their monies worth under your management!
