The view was phenomenal. We love the close access to the beach.Unit was dated, dingy and needs a thorough cleaning, walls painted.The tv cable box etc. sits on the floor while other connections just hang from the TV. This felt dangerous, especially if we would have brought children.A/C worked for part of the condo but was noisy and the unit is old and dirty.Again, we love the location of the condo but felt like more consideration is needed to make the condo more comfortable and safe.
We stayed for seven nights celebrating our granddaughters thirteenth birthday. We enjoyed the property including the beach, pool, restaurants nearby and of course swimming in the ocean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to all our needs.
Great layout with master suite on oceanfront for fresh air and sound of the waves at night! We would stay again if some maintenance was done.Patio light was out. We were told they were on order. A C unit drips into a bowl that needs to be emptied every few hours?? Screen door should be replaced so it doesn’t screech whenever moved.
Everything we expected and then some.
The view and the lanai were definitely the best features! No complaints about anything else. Everything else was good too but the view was fantastic!
The condo could have had more frying pans and cutlery in the kitchen, otherwise it was just lovely!
The view is a 10. Open the sliders and let the ocean waves put you to sleep in the main bedroom. The kitchen has been renovated and is functional. The unit location was close to church, the gym, the grocery store, and several restaurants and food trucks. Unfortunately the unit itself is tired and needs TLC. The kitchen is stocked with just a bare minimum. You will need to bring your own Tupperware to store leftovers. And don’t forget your potholders and BBQ utensils as they aren’t in stock. The electrical outlets throughout are sparse and lack GFCI in the kitchen and bathrooms. The furniture is worn and the throw pillows have tears. The tv and cable box are located in an awkward locations. Several of the window shutters don’t open or close. Don’t forget to bring trash bags, soap, dishwashing soap, or paper towels as a bare minimum are provided. And note, the unit does not provide beach things. With a little TLC and updating, this could be a nice place. Unfortunately the unit doesn’t compare to its lanai view.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this condo. The sunsets and beach / ocean views were amazing. The Condo is clean and simple - a great home base for our adventures around the island.
The location and occur management was great but the property itself needs a better AC system and could use a little bit of TLC. The windows don’t fully shut and the curtain blocks the AC. If sitting out on the balcony, the AC unit is very loud so doesn’t make for a peaceful place and hard to hear others.
Wonderful view of the beach. Close to food and shopping. The air conditioner struggles to cool the entire unit so the second bedroom was warmer than we would have liked. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again!
The view was great and this provided a fine 'base' for us to explore south Maui. A few things about the property do need attention: (1) closets and porch are filled with junk, random trash bags of stuff, assorted beach gear, two patio tables, 8 chairs, a drying rack, empty cartons and boxes - no space! The closets and porch were not especially useable because of this. Our kids had to keep their suitcases/clothes in TV room because there wasn't any space for them in their room. (2) the window AC unit is located on the far end of the unit, next to a shutter-style window that doesn't close fully, so the cold air is blowing straight out the window. It's hot, especially the twin bed room. (3) The bedrooms and main room are open-air connected - note open space above doors. This helps with the heat, but it means there is no sound separation among rooms because its essentially one large loft room with walls only 90% to ceiling. (4) The pool/yard gate situation is self-locking. This means a kid could be locked into the pool area and not be able to get out. It also meant that our family had to do everything together, or be locked out of the beachfront/pool area. I was happy with management's responses, when I mentioned points (1) and (4) and gave us another key. The water was also shut off during our stay, but I think that was a roadwork issue beyond anyone's control. In sum, this property has potential and could be fantastic with some small investment and a few changes.
