Great location after a long day on the road to hana. Would go back to this spot again.
All the directions were very clear. Parking was secure and easy. The home is so quaint, comfortable and has everything needed for a short stay. We loved watching the rain come down while sitting on the bed that is on the patio. Despite the heavy downpours, the whole porch was dry and comfortable. This place was perfect for what we were looking for in Hana.
Nice peaceful stay
A stay to explore Hāna and to relax. We absolutely loved Fisher’s If we ever return to Hama we will definitely stay there again.
Food truck near.
We just had a short stay here but it was very nice. Walkable distance to a beach.
Stayed here for one night as we did the road to Hana, then returned the next day. Location was good and enjoyed our stay. Older place but was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.
The host was very easy to communicate with, and I would definitely book with him again.
Great place to stay while exploring Hana
Wonderful Lani to relax on, quiet location, my wife and I loved it.
The bed on the lanai was amazing! After a twisty drive it was so nice to lay down and read for a while in the evening. The house itself feels like romantic old Hawaii, so welcoming and full of character. We absolutely loved this place!! Thank you for having us. Next time we will stay longer!!
We could see the ocean from our deck and it was clean and nice Perfect for our family of six Loved the place
Enjoyed the screened in porch
I tried to communicate with the host by using expedia messaging and by calling but there was no response. I left a message at the number that was provided but there was no call back. Biggest problem was a little after we checked in, another family arrived saying that they were the ones that had booked the accommodations. It was odd because they had the same entry code as we did. I tried to contact the owner but could only leave a message. After some digging, the new family was 1 year early - scheduled for 18 Feb 2027 instead of 2026. Now why would they have the same entry code as we were given just a few days before? The host NEVER changes the code and what makes it even worse, the host has done something to make the code very easy to break. I did not feel secure in the home. I called VRBO to get the host to change the code and I was given the response that it was too difficult for her to change the code. My safety and wellbeing are too difficult to be concerned about? I can't even imagine what would have gone on if the other family arrived before we did. This is unacceptable for a host to be so indifferent to the guests or their safety. The accommodation does have a new keyless entry lock and if the host would take a few minutes on how to use it, they would find out that the lock can do all that is required to have a different code for EACH renter and the best thing is that it can be done remotely and automatically. The host only cares about the money.
Though the property description and photos were accurate about it being a lower level there was no warning about the fact you can hear every step of the upstairs guests clearly. If this isn't an issue with someone then i would recommend this property. Also, I had to restart this evaluation due to two questions. Neither left any provision for explanation nor would it let me submit unless I scored them. One asked about our experience at the National Park. What national park? The other asked about the location. Great except for the noisy kids next door 3 of the 4 nights, which is not the fault of the owner (4th night it rained).
Nice
Nice and quiet stay, very peaceful.
Very cute place. Loved the screened in Lanai with day bed. We weren’t there long enough to really enjoy it as we only stayed 1 night, but it gave us more time to enjoy Hana.
This was our third stay atcthe house. Great location and very relaxing. The orange cat who shows up kust adds to all the excellence.
Amenities were good. It was nice that they had beach chairs to use. House was very clean. We enjoyed sleeping on the outdoor porch bed.
Our family spent a night here on the road to Hana. Had a great sleep on the porch. A lot of air - reminded me of sleeping in a tent.
Very nice! Thought of all our needs!
We loved the enclosed porch with the bed.
We really enjoyed our stay. It is an old home that has been converted to a VRBO. There were two beds inside, but we slept on the lanai. If you want modern, this isn’t the place. If you want to experience quiet Hāna, I would recommend it for your stay.
Very nice place place ! We recommand it to ant one who want a cozy place to call home the Time they were on Hana and around
The lanai was the highlight with the comfortable bed and lounging area.
The host was very nice and helpful. The lanai bed was wonderful to lay on and read a book. The sound of traffic was the only interruption. There is a view of the ocean through some trees but this is not oceanside, it is along the main road and there was frequent traffic for a small town. There is no window AC but the fans in the bedroom made for a comfortable night.
Property was as advertised and in a great location
Perfect location to split up Road to Hana. You could see the ocean from the Lanai, grounds were beautiful and beds very comfortable. Perfect short stay!
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The cottage was attractive, clean, and well stocked. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to prepare the food we brought, and the outdoor BBQ was a plus. We dined on the screened porch; it was a perfect temperature and bug-free. Thank you!
The place was at perfect location for our purpose. Everything was comfortable and cozy with the exception of seeing a large brown spider on the patio bed.
We decided to not stay given our experience driving there. The road to Hāna was stressful and we needed a place to rest and recuperate. Upon arriving too early we decided to turn around. The house keeping was kind enough to allow us to use the bathroom. And my family agreed upon seeing the interior that they would rather turn around and drive back instead of waiting for the schedule check in. This is no reflection upon the owner. It was our decision to go back to our high end resort to recuperate.
Love this place! The lanai is heaven and the whole place is well proportioned and has everything you need. You can walk to multiple beaches and the quiet jungle vibes in small town Hana are just the best. Thank you!
We had a brief one night stay as we arrived late in the day and left early the next morning. Fisher’s Hana Bay Hale was clean and comfortable and only a 10’ drive from Waiʻānapanapa State Park.
The screened proch was lovely, we ate out on it and played games!
Such a sweet place in a great location!
Lovely home, clean and stocked with all necessities. Quick replies from host. Spend most of our time on the adorable lanai.
We were only able to stay one night, but we loved it and definitely plan on going back!!
Good location, easy access, reasonably close to a good selection of food trucks and a couple of stores. Interior is dated, but clean. The unit could use a few more outlets to charge your devices. The outdoor screened-in porch is spacious and very comfortable. First night - we stayed 3 nights - I took what I thought would be a short nap on the bed on the porch and woke up 3 hours later. I haven't slept that well in a long time, partially because you can hear the waves in the distance. There is also a sweet spot on the porch where you can get a decent peekaboo view of the ocean through the trees. You should expect bugs. On the lighter side, we saw a couple of geckos, but inside the unit, we saw the biggest cockroach I have ever seen. Not including antennae, it was conservatively 3 inches long, so wash the top dishes before you use them. I'm told that this is fairly normal for the area. There is also a very friendly calico cat patrolling the property. One last thing: there were three different neighbors upstairs during our stay, and you can hear everything, sounds like they're stomping around but I doubt it.
We stayed at the Fisher's Hana Bay Hale, bottom unit, early September 2025. We decided to stay here after taking the long "Road to Hana" drive. The location was great, it was clean, parking was available, and it had some necessary items for comfort, such as games, puzzles, dishes, pots and pans, and basic cooking spices. At the time of our visit, there was an impending threat of Hurricane Kiko. I was in contact with the host. She quickly responded and shared my same concerns. As it turned out, Kiko posed no threat, and we were able to complete our stay. Coming from a desert climate, we were not prepared for the humidity and lack of air conditioning for sleeping. There were 3 fans on the property, which made it comfortable. If you are looking for AC, I wouldn't book here. (This is listed in the amenities, so no surprise) But everything else was very nice. Overall, a 5-star rating for location, cleanliness, and friendliness of the host and amenities. (Side note, if you wanted to visit the Black Sand beaches, it now requires a reservation. We did not know this. They will enforce this and NOT let you just go take a look.)
Gorgeous location, surrounded by vegetation and fresh fruit. Conveniently located, close to everything. Excellent layout of the property. Love the lanai bed. The rainforest sounds along with the rhythm of the ocean is so relaxing. I will definitely be looking at booking this location again.
We stayed here only one night after doing the road to Hana and highly recommend this. Such a cute, clean, quiet place. It was perfect way to relax after the drive to Hana!
This was a lovely place to stay after a long travel day and Road To Hāna. Sitting on the porch sipping wine and listening to the waves in the distance was just the calm we needed. Hāna is a quiet town but worth the overnight stay. Mahalo!
Great stay.
This is a cute house with plenty of room for the whole family! Check-in and check-out was super easy. Easy walking distance from red sand beach (highly recommend visiting) and local food trucks.
Nice space with a good location. Comfy beds.
This place was perfectly located along the road to Hana. We spent 1 night and it had everything we could ask for. They have upgraded the fridge to a full-size unit by the way.
Everything was great except upstairs neighbors and hosts communication. Second time staying first time other guests were great. This time fighting and loud music till 6 am! Tried fixing the prob by myself and no luck. Host sent message to them at 7 am this was after trying to call and 3 messages staring at 12:30
The location was great and the home was comfortable, clean, and well outfitted. The only marks taken off are for no AC and thin walls. The upstairs unit was super loud both with music playing loudly and stomping around/moving things to the point that it made it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. Just be aware that if you aren’t renting the whole house this may be an issue. I was able to fall back asleep easily but my husband was not and made it hard for him to power through the long day we had planned afterwards. My stepson loved sleeping on the bed outside and snuggling with the local cat who came to visit.
Convenient place to stay as an overnight to break up road to Hana drive. Perfectly comfortable, though it was humid but that’s to be expected. Would probably choose something with an ocean breeze another time or somewhere with aircon rather than just fans. The place was clean though and the general area was lovely. Lovely lanai. Unfortunately the renters upstairs didn’t get the memo about being quiet …possible they weren’t aware but they were stomping around at various points during the night, which woke us up. Not the fault of the hosts of course!
Nice place in the quiet town of Hana. Close walk to the beach and a slight water view from the porch. Had everything we needed for our one night stay. It was definitely a good choice to stay a night in Hana doing the road to Hana and back. So much more relaxing to head back fresh and take the time to stop and relax
Emplacement parfait!
Very clean, excellent directions and instructions, loved the lanai, fans helped keep one comfortable
The property was excellent, highly recommend.
We enjoyed our Stay, especially the near zu the entrance of the Volcano NP was really great.
This is our second time staying here and we loved it just as much as the first time! Close to everything in Hana, and plenty of room for our family if 4. We stayed here for two nights so we could hike without rushing back, and it was so worth it! Highly recommend staying here.
We stayed in the lower unit. We loved it! It reminded us of our cabin in the woods in Missouri. Open windows for the breeze, gentle rain each night, lush landscape. The washer and dryer are shared with the upper unit as stated on line. The neighbors were great. I do recommend this after a lingbday of road to Hana travel or hiking.
We stayed herw for 4 nights. A great change from the commercial west side. We spend all out time on the screened porch.
Rain or shine, Hana never fails to disappoint. A stay here is tonic for the soul. After the busy activities in Lahaina area, it felt great to slow down and just be. The home was a tranquil place, beautiful yard of flowers to greet us, a strand of native bananas hung by the door for the picking. Good! We are two older couples and the accommodations were perfect. Close to town, a short walk to a dramatic black lava beach, you can see the ocean from the porch. And the porch....a special outdoor sleeping area. Just what we were looking for. Just beautiful.
The property was just as described, clean and spacious. Had all the basic necessities we needed. The location was perfect, right in the bay area and off the highway. Would come back
