Every once in a while, you find a hidden gem in travelling, and such is the case with Casa De Emdeko. One might say the venue is somewhat dated, but that is what gives it the character it so richly displays. The gardens are impeccable and well-tended. The condo itself was well appointed with all that was needed for a great stay and the best part was that there were no extra tenants...at least with antennae and six legs. The whole environment is very quiet and equally as friendly. The core group of residents are very receptive and even sounds a conch shell at sunset. The location is central to all that is necessary, stores, restaurants, and is on the road to the volcano...a must-see even if she is not active.Communication was exceptional with the agency and all in all, made a first visit to the Big Island a worthwhile adventure, one that will be repeated.Looking forward to next year!

Casa de embarko was a wonderful place to relax, and enjoy our visit to Kona. The grounds and pools are beautiful, very well kept up, with lots of common areas to take in the island beauty. The condo was well appointed, with everything that was needed for a comfortable visit.
I had a wonderful stay. The property was perfect. It was clean and updated with everything you may need. It was quiet in the evening and everyone staying there was friendly. The location was perfect, just mins away from all the food/shopping. I would highly recommend this property.

This is a heavenly complex, with beautiful landscaping and a private ocean view. I was traveling alone as a single woman and enjoyed that I could hang out at the pool or beach, walking into town easily (though about 40 min) or catch an Uber. The room was so spacious, clean and with all the amenities one could need, including full beach gear (chairs, umbrella, cooler). It was the best place I stayed in Kona! My one recommendation to the owners would be to add an interior manual bolt or hinge lock for extra sense of security. The front door locks automatically, but I found the door open a few times from the wind because I didn’t close it all the way accidentally because no manual lock. Other than that lovely stay and just perfect!
We were in love with our time here. Beautiful spot and beautiful, cool apartment. We didn’t want to leave and will hope to come back again! It was easy to reach someone if needed and the house was stocked so we didn’t feel like we were missing anything!! It was perfect to us!

Updated and close to parking lot
We didn’t stay at the property much except to come home at night and because of this, thought the location worked very well for our activities. Overall we were comfortable and the space is adequate for having a place to use as a home base. The kitchen is fantastic and we felt we had everything we needed. We got in the salt water pool one night to see the sunset, and enjoyed that very much. The down side was that parking was not very convenient as we had to park outside the gate each night, and the bedroom only has windows along the public walkway so you have to leave the shutters closed and that made the space not very inviting. There was a mold problem in the closet on the ceiling and the shower tile had a lot of mildew built up. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but surprised us. Overall it was a good property.
