We were very happy with this condo, which we selected after considerable research (condo complex floor plan, orientation with respect to sunsets, etc.). The location, away from the street and pool, fit our desires. As advertised, we woke to the sounds of birds (mostly exotic doves) and a great view. It was well furnished and had tasteful art. It accommodated occasional visits from our family, who were staying nearby. The plumbing and air conditioning worked fine. We cannot comment on the TV, as we never used it. Beach chairs, snorkeling gear, tennis rackets and pickleball paddles were available. It was convenient to be able to get to the condo without having to deal with stairs (we had rolling luggage, groceries, and beach gear). The one worry we had about our June visit was that the south-facing lanai would be sunny in the afternoon; the summer sun sets quite far north so the lanai was shaded most of the time. It had the feeling of a home away from home, rather than a property designed to generate income. Kelly was always available and responded quickly.
White Sands Village is a great location - close enough to the action but far enough away from the hubbub and tourist bustle. This unit was well equipped (other than missing an ice cream scoop!) and had fabulous amenities. Check in was a breeze and communication with our host easy.
The unit: Our family of four stayed here for two weeks. We loved the large patio with an ocean view. The unit itself was clean, just had an abundance of unneeded furniture, breakable knick knacks, and dishes that made it seem a bit crowded. Host communication was great! Water pressure was very bad so one shower at a time was best.
The beach: The walkable beach is called Magic Sands. It is very small and only has sand sometimes. You need water shoes due to lava rock. Saw turtles in the water there twice. Mostly had wild waves/red flags in June but 3-4days were truly swimmable. Many pot smoking local boogie boarders hang out there in the evening. Saw cops there a few times and were greeted by homeless folks at 6am when at the beach. Did not let our kids go alone.
The complex: The elevator smelled so bad. The pool had the most extensive set of rules prohibiting fun that I've ever seen but they weren't enforced beyond cranky eye rolling by residents. Pool and hot tub were clean. Most of the pool is 8ft deep. Tennis court renovations are ongoing so courts not open. Parking was convenient. Loved the location for proximity to snorkeling and easy 10min drive to Kailua-Kona. Complex was a good mix of vacation rentals and older part/full time residents.
Overall, enjoyed our stay!
Our stay at the White Sands Village was great! It was just as listed on the website. Kelly did a great job of communicating with me during my stay. The condo was extremely quiet and had a relaxing atmosphere. The beach was a short walk across the street and downtown Kona was a short 10 minute drive. This area has less traffic than locations closer to town which made it much easier to travel to all our destinations. I would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for a place away from lots of people and traffic with access to a fun beach, this is the place for you. Mahalo!
The condo was clean and well appointed directly across from the beach. Kelly was a very responsive host and and was easily accessible if any questions arose.
Good location but a little far for walking to waterfront restaurants and bars.

Great access to north and south. If you don't want to drive bus was very close by. Beach across the street. Very comfortable and quiet.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at White Sands Village. The owner was very thorough in communicating leading up to the trip via email and text. The house was incredibly clean and very nice. The beds were comfortable, accommodations were great. It was also stocked with beach chairs, coolers, and all the other little items helpful for a day trip that we didn't have to purchase upon arrival. Sitting out on the back porch and listening to the birds in the mornings and evenings was my favorite! Would absolutely stay here again.
What a fabulous vacation spot! We were just steps off the beach, the condo had more than enough dishes, lots of water toys to use, easy parking spot and Kelly was fantastic to work with. Very quick with replying to our requests and so helpful. Absolutely would recommend this location to family and friends.

Our unit was great. Just across the street from a great beach, short walk to amazing snorkelling. Lovely pool. Very responsive property manager. We had a wonderful vacation!
