It was exactly as described. We had a fantastic trip and absolutely loved the location and grounds of the property. Breakfasts on the lanai were a highlight! Definitely made use of the amenities in the closet and fold out chair bed. The fold out chair bed is not the most comfortable for sleeping and is a bit more narrow, but it did the job for a young child. Loved swimming at the pool in the evenings and grabbing dinner there. Will definitely be coming back!
This is the second time we've stayed in Merris's condo. We love the location, convenience, and all the extras included for beach fun. The A/C is a huge bonus after being in the sun all day. And the access to the Athletiv Club is wonderful!
We stayed here for four days in early February and it was great. The unit is very charming and comfortable, the lanai is peaceful and relaxing, and the host was always responsive and an absolute wealth of knowledge about the island. We would definitely look to stay again on our next trip to Kōloa!
We loved our stay at Kiahuna Plantation. This was our second trip here and it was even better than the first one. The unit is lovely and very nicely appointed with anything a family could need - especially in the kitchen and in the outdoor gear closet!Communication was excellent and we enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings. We will definitely be returning!
While we have visited Maui several times, this was our first trip to Kauai. What a great island. We had a relaxing stay, enjoying the changing of the seasons. The location of the condominium is perfect. A short walk to the on-site beach. A short walk to Poipu Beach. If you go, make sure you get a veggie Puka dog!
This is a beautiful condo in a magical setting just steps from Poipu Beach. We checked in on Christmas Eve which was a little different for us as we usually don’t travel that day, and it was so easy. We immediately felt comfortable and ready for our beach Christmas! The condo is exactly as described (lovely decor and amenities) and the owner was so kind and responsive. The house guide and follow up communications checking that we were settled and enjoying ourselves were nice touches. The owner also provided a great list of options to tour Kauai and sightsee after we checked out and still had a good day until our late flight back to the mainland. The building is in a great location on property, close to the beach path, the beach hut (where you get your awesome beach towels, beach gear, snacks, etc.), and to well maintained laundry facilities. The machines were quick and in great working order. The owners locker with chairs, beach umbrella. coolers, etc. was so nice to have! We spent amazing days at the beach, enjoying the turtles and monk seals who sunned themselves daily - so special! We grilled and also used the kitchen for a few easy meals. We had everything we could possibly need. We look forward to returning someday!
Overall, great stay here! Stated 5 nights there in Poipu and 5 in Princeville. The location was nice and close to shopping area. The place was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Has AC! Nice to have chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Access to the club across the street was cool with a pool, gym, tennis/pickle ball courts and restaurant right there. Had a good time here and would recommend.
The property was really nice and easy to access all of the great things Kauai has to offer.
We had a wonderful time in Kauai. The location was perfect for our family because of the short walk to the ocean, short walk across the street to the athletic club and pool, and the many green spaces in front of and around the condo to play soccer, football, tag, etc. We especially enjoyed the single ground floor story of the condo and the walk out porch to the huge green space. Merris, the host, sent us a long document with instructions, and lots of ideas of fun things to do. Laundry on site was a plus. The housekeeping situation includes one towel exchange during the week stay and you have to pay if you want more towel exchanges. For the beach towels, you have to make sure to have the beach towel cards on hand and exchange a card for a towel and the resort manager said we would get charged if we didn't turn in all the towel cards at the end of our stay. We managed just fine, but it was something we had to keep track of - especially with kids. There is a flyer upon resort check-in with with more information on the gnat situation and how it's basically out of everyones control. Thankfully there is a broom and vacuum in the condo so I could keep the floors clean from gnats. There are also cleaning supplies stocked under the sink so keeping things fresh and clean was easy. Also included was plastic wrap, foil, baggies, and lots of kitchen tools. There was nothing that we needed that we didn't have. Merris was very accommodating, communicative, and kind. We would definitely book with Merris again.
Situated walking distance between the best beaches on Kauai and Poipu Athletic Club (pool with slide, private swim lessons, pickleball courts and a great restaurant that has live music). We loved our second stay here and are already starting to plan another trip back!
