Restaurants in walking distance include Brennecke's Beach Broiler and Kalapaki Joe's, both Kauai classics you won't want to miss. Our Poipu rentals at Kahala at Poipu Kai share a wide variety of resort amenities. Kahala has its own swimming pool and jacuzzi and shares tennis courts with other units at the Poipu Kai complex. The tennis courts and pool are conveniently close to Kahala 123. A pleasant stroll through the grounds brings you to Brennecke's beach, and to the Poipu Beach Park just on the other side of that. The Poipu Beach Park is a sheltered white sand beach that's perfect for children to wade and swim.

Several dining options are also within walking distance, like Kalapaki Joe's, the westernmost sports bar and grill in the United States! A very short walk across the grounds and you'll be able to enjoy happy hour, Taco Tuesdays, poke bowls, burgers and more. Brennecke's Beach Broiler is only a couple minutes farther on foot. You can enjoy your day at the beach then stop in for anything from shave ice to sushi, or some of the best fish and chips around.

Kahala 123 is a spacious 1br/1ba with an ocean view. There are lovely wood floors throughout, and a private lanai where you can enjoy an informal al fresco meal while watching the ocean. The full kitchen means you can prepare your own meals and dine privately at home, though if you want to go out, Kalapaki Joe's is really close and Brennecke's Beach Broiler about a 10 minute walk. The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed. The dining area seats 4. While the bedroom and bathroom have not had recent updates, they are fully functional and meticulously clean.
