Wailua Bay View is centrally located near Kapaa by the famous Wailua River and old Coco Palms resort where Elvis filmed 'Blue Hawaii'. It is only 10 minutes from the airport and is a perfect location to base from when sightseeing on the Garden Isle. The condo is situated directly over beautiful Wailua beach and is only a short walk to Papaloa beach, a protected cove for babies and young children. Lydgate Park is less than a 5 minute drive which boasts the best playground on Kauai. In addition, the County of Kauai built a bike path that borders Wailua Bay View and stretches from Kealia Beach to Lydgate Park, more than 8 miles in length.
The private lanai is complete with railing for extra security. This makes a perfect set up for families either with or without children. Our condo comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer in the unit. We also offer free wireless high speed internet, cable TV, a king sized bed, a queen sofabed, a single futon and even a pack and play/crib for little ones. Beach gear such as boogie boards and beach chairs are also provided to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

We had to switch twice due to our condo not ready with a day before call from property manager, second unit had a terrible time getting TV working due to remote not able to read the control paint worned out. took three days to get TV working. No instructions on both units of where trash &
and recycle area is. Units were musty smelling. will not recommand. Price too high for what you get !!!

We love the location of the property and the view from the lanai!! The property is quiet and private. Love having the A/C unit in the bedroom and use of an in-unit washer dryer. These are the positives of the unit.
Things to take note of: The refrigerator didn’t cool any of our drinks until we tinkered around it. We couldn’t figure out how to watch cable tv, the instructions were complex and we didn’t want to waste time messing with it. The unit REALLY need to be updated. For the price paid, we did not expect kitchen flooring to be taped down with packing tape, floor tiles coming loose in the bathroom, toilet seat is loose and keeps sliding around, no starter toiletries, no plug ins on one side of the bed, musty smell in the bedroom probably from the old carpet. All these are cosmetic fixes that can and should be done considering the amount we pay for it.
Aside from that, we had a blast exploring the entire island, enjoying the culture and the people! Be sure to visit Passion Bakery which is a simple walk right outside the property entrance drive, they have great fresh pastries, love the banana bread and don’t miss out on the matcha smoothie!! Lots of restaurants close by too! We love the Garden Isle!

Fair condo at best…floor was chipping…cut hazard
Cupboards did not shut…deadbolt on front door didn’t work…bathroom door did not unlock…safety concern
Slider doors don’t lock or really even shut level at all…
Some dishes were dirty in the cupboards…gross
Couch old enough it had a blanket over it….

I am disappointed that the condo needs repair, paint, and replacement of the old, cracked linoleum flooring in the kitchen and hallway, which my wife tripped over and fell. The living room and bedroom carpet is old, dirty, and needs replacement. The carpet retains a horrible musty smell if the breeze does not flow throughout the condo.
The bathroom had minor drywall repairs but no sanding or paint. If the condo was painted, floor coverings were replaced, and the location was updated, that would be great. The majority of our time was on the balcony.
We are pleased that most of our vacation was in Princeville at a fabulous condo at The Cliffs.
I commonly try not to leave evaluations, but I felt compelled to share our experience for the money paid.

After a very rough check in experience the stay was enjoyable. Host did not share the key with us so we had to rent out another hotel until host responded. Kitchen utensils and house amenities are basic but proximity to the activities, bay and ocean views from the balcony are amazing!

Great location, looking out on the beach. Great views of the sunrise.
The unit needs maintenance. The floor tile in front of the refrigerator was taped down with clear, packing tape.
Other areas of the kitchen tile were peeling up. My partner got a bloody toe from stubbing her toe on peeled up tile. Shame on the management company for not fixing this.
You would not describe the carpet has clean.
Kitchen was minimally equipped. No baking pan, not even a small 5 x 7 size. And not even a paring knife for the kitchen. And 1 steak knife. But there were a couple larger knives of good quality.
Plenty of silverware.
A couple of nice beach chairs, and a nice small cooler for going to the beach.
Refrigerator was newer with a great icemaker.
Overall, this could be a great unit if the owner and managers were willing to step up their maintenance.

This property is located on the water offering beautiful views and sounds of the ocean. The property is centrally located near shopping and restaurants. Nice pool and BBQ area. The lanai is amazing! We will be coming back here soon.

The location is halfway to anywhere on Kauai, which made travel on the island easy. It is close to Lihue Airport. You will find that you can relax at Wailua bay beach which is just behind the condos within walking distance, as well. We enjoyed the pool so much and our beautiful bay view from the balcony. The property is well kept. We thank our owners Luke and Kristi for their hospitality. Enjoy your stay at Wailua Bayview, Aloha!

Great location with fantastic views. Lots of space for two people. Beach and snorkelling equipment kindly supplied and appreciated. A bit of highway noise for those sensitive to it, otherwise good base to access the island from.

Ocean facing 2nd floor unit was perfect for our stay. Refreshing sea breezes flow right through the place, making lounging and sleeping quite comfortable. Never even considered using the bedroom A/C unit. Would happily return to this spot. Even the roosters here were respectfully quieter than elsewhere on the island ;). On site manager was friendly and helpful. Let me know if Mark ever needs a fill-in or replacement - would be a great retirement gig :)

I loved my stay at this property. All aspects of the rental process were straightforward without any challenges. The unit itself is fantastic. The porch and view of the ocean are just what was depicted and desired. The location is conveniently situated to embrace all the island has to offer. My only recommendation would be to replace the very old showerhead. A thirty-dollar fix for a chorded high-pressure shower head would be welcomed after a long day of sun and fun. I am hoping to return for another visit! Thank you!

This 1bd 1 ba home is absolutely beautiful with breathing ocean views. The home is in a perfect location close to shops, groceries stores, dinning & there's a gas station right across the street. Check out Passions Backery thats also across the street.
The home has everything you'll need to cook with including a coffee maker, crock pot, & a blinder.
The owners answering all my messages quickly. The grounds keeper was friendly & helpful with recommendations.
The 1 & only con is, the home does not have central AC. BUT, there is AC in the bedroom.
We enjoyed our time here & would stay again.

The property is on the second floor which meant that IF anyone walked by, they could not look into your condo. And i only saw the manager and one couple walk by there as it is a narrow path of grass between the building and the ocean. It was fabulous! I could listen to the ocean all night and look at the stars. Or you could choose to sleep in the bedroom which was extremely quiet and dark. Perfect for sleeping. I personally prefer the sound of the ocean and the sight of the night sky. You could walk to dozens of fabulous restaurants - any variety you choose. I'd definitely recommend Passion Bakery across the street in the morning. Not only fresh made, also plenty of breakfast and lunch choices. The condo was very comfortable, had everything i needed and more. I liked that the couch had a cover that was clean and fresh. Clearly it gets washed after every guest. And having a washer and r=dryer with all the sweating from the heat was a definite plus. I highly recommend this place. I'd return here again! And there are 2 beach options within minutes of the condo. And a length of beach for walks. Parking is included. The facility manager was very helpful. No hesitation recommending this!
