It was amazing! We had an awesome patio view! The place was perfect for 2 couples. We each had our own bathroom and bedroom and a kitchen/living room we could gather in. Maybe only one restaurant walking distance which was ok for us because we like to try different eating places. Lots of eating places within 10 minute drive. We liked it because it was not as busy with people. It was more quiet! It would be a good place to bring kids and grandkids also.

Such a gorgeous condo! Very luxurious and stocked perfectly! We appreciated having some amazing Hawaiian coffee as a sweet welcome gift! We were unable to use the lanai furniture due to the updating and on-site painting going on, but we were still able to go out and enjoy the patio. We can’t wait to be back!

We appreciated being able to use the beach chairs and cooler in the closet at the beach. We saw 5 whales in the morning not too far out from the shore. That was a treat! Property itself is gorgeous. The only thing that didn’t work for for us were hthe wrist bands and we heard we weren’t the only ones having issues. I’d def stay here again. Loved everything about it.

Great condo and great view. Sadly there was one issue that kind of put a damper on our vacation. This is non reflective of the owner of the condo but is more pointed at Maui Resort Rentals. They are the property manager. The condo is GREAT and a great view and location. When we arrived there was a rather old looking piece of tape on the dishwasher stating it didn't work. No contact from the property manager and we had to call them to find out it wouldn't be fixed. So, here we are with our son and dau in law and two kids eating most of our meals in and having to wash dishes. Ok things happen and we get that but we expected compensation commensurate with our inconvenience. several phone calls and emails to Maui Resort Rentals (who we didn't book thru) proved futile. we were compensated 228.83..............on a 6k booking.......insulting! We had told them we wanted to rebook this same condo for next year but after this experience we'll be looking elsewhere. Once again the owners of this condo probably have no idea of this. but it is a great condo! just a bad experience for us.
We were extremely pleased with this place. The unit was lovely and was exactly as it was shown in the listing. We saw whales breeching from our lanai every day. The pools were great, the slide was fun, and the beach was incredible. Highly recommend this place!

Our stay was outstanding from the moment we arrived; check in and parking was easy and clear. Location of the resort was perfect and the resort staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was managed by Maui Resort Rentals who did a perfect job communicating and making themselves available before, during, and at the end of the stay. In summary, the location was great, the room looked just like the pictures, it was clean and in great shape with high end appliances. The lanai was perfect for family dinners or take out from Dukes (which was excellent) and coffee in the morning. Once our kids discovered the water slide we couldn’t keep them out of the pool. View was unbelievable and we loved walking down to the beach. Internet also worked perfect and was sufficient to get work done from the room. Can’t say enough about how great this resort and room was and we can’t wait to return.

The view from this unit is beautiful and the best part. I spent a lot of time watching whales in the ocean. The unit was clean with spacious bathrooms. The beds were also very comfortable. Any minor issues we had were addressed immediately. The property overlooks the main pool and noise echos, with a lot of people up early in Hawaii due -especially children- this might be an issue for a very light sleeper who wants to sleep in. However, it was not an issue for us. We will be back!
The trip ended up just being my partner and I, so the place was huge for just us two. Checking in was a breeze, and the space had everything we needed— full kitchen, paper towels, soap, beach chairs/umbrella, and thoughtful toiletries. We loved the view from this unit and caught the sunrise and sunset each day. Location was also spot on as it had
a Duke’s on-site, cafe, several pools, and private beach access.
Some things to note: the space is through a third party and not the resort directly, so it could be confusing not to go to the front desk for anything. Location is great for families and we noticed the area was a lot quieter and less foot traffic than the hotels a few blocks down. Would definitely stay again!
We had the best time in this condo and are so appreciative to the host! A little review of the kitchen supplies and plates etc would be helpful for future peoples stays.
We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. However due to COVID we cooked in a lot and there were only 6 place settings and flatware. This unit is supposed to be able to sleep 6. We had to wash dishes constantly so we could use them again. Seems like a waste of water and energy. Also there was no bowl for a salad. These are easy fixes so thought I would suggest them.
The place was as expected.
This is our second time staying at Honua Kai and we loved this unit. Super clean, beautiful views of the courtyard, pool, and ocean! The property managers were super responsive and very helpful. Great amenities onsite and so many choices in pool, lounge areas, beach, etc.
The only issue we had was the 5pm check in (which seemed quite late) and not being able to use any of the amenities until checked in. We have little ones and were hoping to relax by the pool after a long flight until our unit was ready.
Other than that, we had an amazing stay and would definitely go back!
