Clean room and excellent location to the beach. Lots of swimming options as well. Our room was good except it was located above the maintenance garage. Was loud and heard constant hammering throughout the night as well as our stay. I would recommend a different condo unit within the same resort.
This unit is very nice, clean, and welcoming. Literally had beach chairs, umbrella, ice chest and snorkel gear to use. Property managers were so nice and accommodating. Resort itself was big and great for the family! Would definitely stay her again!
The floorplan was great and worked well for our family of 4 - overall we were comfortable and the binder was helpful. The location in the building was disappointing - semi-truck deliveries and loading dock noise every morning right off the lanai, we understood that our view would not be ideal, but there was no mention of the noise. The living room furniture was different than pictured, the washer and dryer did not work well (washer smelled bad because it was not left open to dry out, the dryer was not able to dry a load of regular clothes and certainly not our towels), the shower connected to the smaller bedroom was not adjustable in height or in flow and was too powerful for my children, which was a bummer because they had to use the bigger bedroom shower. Also, for a condo that can sleep 4 - there are so few places to hang a wet towel or swimsuits - there needs to be more towel racks, hooks or a portable drying rack or something - this was probably the most irksome thing since we were always needing dry suits/towels. Most kitchen items were helpful and we were able to find what we needed for a 7 day stay, some items were old and in disrepair (broken pots/pans, broken/dangerous and dull knives, cutting boards that need to be replaced). We had family staying in the same building, so we were able to manage any needs that way and our problems were not big enough to really matter in the end - the resort was amazing and we spent most of our time out of the condo.

This Condo complex is amazing, lots of pool space with adequate seating a wonderful beach access just steps away and a first class restaurant on site. There are many restaurants and a grocery store a 15 minute walk or a short drive away. The complex has plenty of parking and a great underground parking lot very convenient to the unit when you figure out where to park. The beach is safe and is adequate for snorkeling, better snorkeling is a short drive from the complex. The unit is well provisioned for cooking, a couple cookie sheets would be a nice addition. The beds were very comfortable, the furniture did leave a bit to be desired in comfort. We did struggle a bit with managing a comfortable temperature between the 2 bedrooms and the rest of the condo, there seems to be multi zoning controls but there wasn’t any documentation explaining how to control the comfort level, this wasn’t a big deal just a suggestion to make it better. The last comment has to do with my 4 star rating rather than 5, every day at 6 AM there was a loud noise outside the unit sounded like the trash dumpster pickup. After a couple days we realized the unit is just above the delivery dock and the complex has deliveries coming in early in the morning. We did notify the rental agency of this issue and they contacted the complex and that did seem to help as we didn’t notice the noise as early. This balcony location and view and the comfort of the furniture was the only negative of the condo.
Beachfront this ain’t. While there’s little between the *resort* and the beach, this unit is at the *back* of the resort, overlooking a parking lot; indeed, the unit, as mentioned in other reviews, is directly over the delivery dock. The intermittent clatter is really quite annoying. Not a unit for adults without children.If you have 2-3 kids, however, this might work
Everything was great. It was the perfect spot for our family. Check in and check out was seemless. Helped us have the perfect vacation! Would book this same listing again!
We had a wonderful relaxing visit over winter break as the management company was responsive throughout our visit.The check-in process was efficient and they followed up when we had questions about the unit.
This was our third stay at Honua Kai. Our last two visits we stayed in units on the sides of the building; this unit is at the back—facing the street. As other reviewers have mentioned, this unit is directly above where delivery trucks enter the building. That noise didn’t bother us, but the wind prevented us from using the lanai. We’d recommend staying on the sides or oceanfront if you want to use your lanai. This unit wasn’t as well stocked as others: only one replacement garbage bag, no beach wagon or umbrella, no Kleenex, etc.

The ac did not work threw out the house and one bedroom, the fan In the living room didn’t work… so there was no air flow! The washing machine had mold in it and it was leaking so the floor was soaked!! But other than that it was nice and the kids had a blast
