This was a great property and a great location! The home is lovely, close to the greenbelt for walking, an easy drive to shops and restaurants and was perfect for our family needs. We rented both the main home and the o'hana. The management was super responsive with troubleshooting the wifi that was not working in the o'hana and the outlet that was not working on the counter. We would give it a very good rating if we could... we know as former vacation property owners that it's hard to stay on top of everything, so there were some items we noticed that could be replaced or updated, but mostly it is really lovely home and property!

The house has a nice open floor plan. Great communications with property manager. Quick to respond and make sure everything was satisfactory. The backyard was the best part. The huge plant growth and palm trees make you feel totally secluded. The large custom pool was beautiful and added to the forest-like atmosphere. Has 2 tree carved Tiki's. We loved spending time out back. The kid's spent as much time in the backyard as they did at the beach. Highly recommend.
This home in Poipu is a great location, between Shipwreck and Poipu beaches. Morning walks on the greenbelt to see the sunrise on shipwreck and evening walks to the sunset and turtles on Poipu. The backyard was a fun place for kids to play. The pool was lovely with the waterfall in the early morning and late afternoon. Living area is nice. Kids loved watching TV in the lowered area near the kitchen and adults enjoyed most the time on the patio. Beds are comfortable and bedrooms have A/C. The doors have screens, so we always opened up to let in the breeze as the main area of the home is not air conditioned. Kitchen is well appointed, but could use a few more dishes and glasses for a house this size. We had to run dishwasher quite a bit. Lots of beach gear too! This house was a lovely, relaxing tropical oasis in a quiet neighborhood when we were done with the beach and sun.
Pros: The location was great. Lots of towels and beach gear. Smooth check in.
Cons: bathroom commissary not well stocked, dining room lights don't work among other things, and the biggest issue: AC
The house touts AC as a feature. Only the rooms have AC and even those are touch and go. I contacted management a couple of times to get this fixed. I had to follow up and when the repair person finally came, we were told the unit in the kids bedroom needed a part from Maui. We were promised a portable AC unit that would need to be purchased, it never came. Come to find, there's a fairly permanent note in another bedroom stating “Waiting for part to arrive. Please use portable AC”. The wall AC units are clearly problematic, yet there doesn't seem to be a concerted effort to get them fixed or provide a readily deployable solution.
Would I remember this property? No, the pros do not out weigh the cons.
This was a great house and a great location. A 10 minute walk to the beach, comfortable, clean, and spacious for our family of seven adults.
Absolutely amazing location, 15 min walk to 2 different beaches, 10 to the community pool and hot tub. House is beautifully decorated with a good mix of contemporary art and Asian antiques. Pool with waterfall is beautiful and private. The 3 bedroom home also features a guesthouse for. 4th couple. Plenty of room for an extended family of 8 (7 adults and one baby). Thank you for excellent communication and sharing your home.
The house setting and grounds were beautiful. The house was spacious and had good flow. Of course the pool was a big hit, we were in it everyday. Appreciated quick response to get propane for barbecue. The hot water in the second bathroom was not working well, mostly lukewarm at best. Also we were cooking in a lot and could have used some better pots and pans in the kitchen. Loved the paths to get to beaches. Overall a good stay and fun vacation for our family.

We did gave trouble finding the lighting for the kitchen and table. Also not sure if the stove has a ventilation fan. Thanks for letting us use the beach chairs and umbrellas. We truly enjoyed the location and comfort of this home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for easy beach access within walking distance, local restaurants, and attractions like the Allerton-McBryde Botanical Gardens, the Blow Hole, and Waimea Canyon.The house met all of our needs for a group of 7- multi-generational family trip. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard listening to the birds and waterfall into the pool. Thank you for the beach amenities- chairs, umbrellas, towels, and cooler. Thank goodness for the breeze to cool down the main part of the house. It can be a bit warm, but the bedrooms were nice and cool!! We would stay here again.
Absolutely loved staying at this home. Beautiful and accommodating spaces and a an amazing backyard. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again!

Furnishing was nice. Much better than some vacation rentals.
The layout was comfortable for our 7 adults. Large round dining area inside. Large dining table outside. Seating was comfortable. Yes, the smallish TV is low in a cabinet. We put it on top of the cabinet. WIFI was good.
The kitchen is quite nice and well equipped. Spices, paper towels, soap for dishes and clothing, etc.
Beautiful landscaping. We enjoyed the back yard. The pool isn’t heated, so we went to the pool in the development or the beach for swimming.
Beach towels provided. Bath towels were nice. There is a crib.
Short walk to beaches, though we sometimes drove. We saw turtles laying on the beach daily.
Excellent location, all major activities within 30 minutes drive. There are small grocery stores close by. Safeway and Costco nearer the airport.
Great location and outdoor living space. The indoor space has tremendous potential but I don’t believe it has been updated since 1980. There is a mash pit in the living room! All living room furniture is uncomfortable. The TV in the main area is in the pit and is on the floor. Needless to say all bathrooms are old and tired. The electrical system is dangerous. Lights dim when you use a 1980 hairdryer in the master.
I own a vacation rental property on Hilton Head Island and the condition of this home would be unacceptable there. Property management companies won’t rent a property in this condition on the island.
Loved the location of this property. You could walk to multiple beaches. Further, you could walk to other resort properties and restaurants and bars. If you want to go to the beach, it is a short drive. The property has all the things needed. There were beach chairs and umbrellas. Pool toys and beach towels. Coolers were provided as well.
One of the cons of the property is that the hot tub is not heated. There is a beautiful backyard and the pool with the waterfall is gorgeous. However, the pool is in the shade and so unless it is very warm out we found it difficult to use. It was too cold. We were informed that the hot tub is a saltwater tub but it would've been nice if it would have been heated to warm up after the cold pool. The access to the community pool is great.
The separate smaller house is perfect if you have family members wanting a little more privacy.
My honest critique would be that the property wasn't as clean or as maintained as I would have expected for the rental price. We tied up and went to sweep the dining area and we were sweeping up food from the prior people who stayed there. We had to wipe down the kitchen counters when we first got there and the shower curtain could've been cleaner. It was black at the bottom of the curtain. The dishwasher needs some TLC as well. The small house drain really needs to be snaked. It was not draining, and a huge clump of hair was pulled out of the drain to try and get it to drain better. Yuk!
Beautiful house, loved the layout, and so very comfortable. Kitchen was fantastic to cook in. Loved the round dining room for meals with our family. Loved the dual doors in the front and back with screens you get a great cross breeze and private views of front garden and back garden. This house is very private! Great location loved walking to Brennecke beach and the beautiful Hyatt grounds. Brennecke beach is a beautiful sunset and fantastic bodyboarding. Shipwreck beach near Hyatt is a beautiful sunrise. Wish the pool was heated. Wish the hot tub was heated. Pool was a little chilly in December. Small TV however this is good we mostly read books which is better anyway. So grateful you share this house for guests to rent!
