I loved the location so much! The place could def use some updates (tv was not super intuitive) & got really hot all day & was hot at night during sleep. We knew it was a spot with no AC so that’s on us but it was hard to get a solid nights rest. One of the rooms (main one) felt extra hot so we stayed in the other thankfully (it was just two of us). It felt a bit overpriced for the state of the home but generally it was great because of how close it was to everything in Hanalei! Also worth noting that there’s no tolerance for sand in the home! Def took extra thought to be sure we didn’t let any in, considering proximity to the beach. Thanks for having us!
Overall, this is a very nice property and in line with most of what I saw around Hanalei Bay. The location is ideal—just a short walk to both downtown and the beach—which made it very convenient. The view from the patio is amazing and a perfect spot to enjoy a meal.The best part of the whole place is definitely the outdoor shower—it was such a great feature and really added to the experience.The home itself is a bit older, and while some things didn’t work perfectly, it wasn’t a big issue since we weren’t spending much time inside. There’s no air conditioning, so it can get warm, especially if you’re cooking, but there are plenty of fans that help keep things comfortable. That said, the fans were quite dirty, which was disappointing.One area that could really improve the experience would be the beach accessories. The chairs, toys, and cart were all rusted and in poor condition. Updating those items would make a noticeable difference for guests.On the positive side, the landlord was very kind and responsive, which we really appreciated. Despite a few minor drawbacks, we would definitely stay here again.

BEST location!
We recently stayed at this charming house in Hanalei and overall had a delightful experience. The location was just perfect - walkable to all the shops and the beach. The house itself was great - very comfortable. Beautiful private yard and large covered lanai with a large dining table to eat outside.
The kitchen was stocked! Anything you need, you will find it! Need a garlic press? There were TWO! I did read another review stating the equipment looked like it was from a thrift shop - and that may be, it was a bit worn, but I was not expecting brand new everything. I loved having the variety - worked perfectly for us as we cooked every night. I also loved that they had a compost bin (we compost at home and I loved the ability to continue my usual habits).
There are 3 bedrooms - the one with 2 twins also has a large desk (was convenient for my husband who had to take a few work calls).
There were a few minor issues - the oven was not super clean and the dishwasher latch did not work, therefore we had to wash most dishes by hand. The furniture could use an upgrade, but most places we have rented in Kauai in this price range are similar. These were not dealbreakers for me and to be fair, I did try to call the property management company to alert them, missed the call back and did not try again. I was enjoying my vacation too much to bother with the small things!
Despite these issues, I would recommend the house and would definitely stay here again!

House was comfortable and felt like we were staying in a friend's home rather than a sterile rental, an excellent location of course for our 2 year old and grandparents, the lanai was perfect for hanging with family and the outdoor shower was absolutely clutch for post-beach sand removal! We would absolutely stay again and the communication was great along the way.

Fantastic location right between beach and town. We loved the giant beautiful garden - and the nicely large lanai has a great view. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything you could need. Overall a very comfy stay for our family. Could use some refreshed furnishings and cushions and cleanup of house and garden supplies downstairs.
