House is as advertised, great efforts from the host. Quiet neighbourhood with a 20 min walk to shops or 5 minute drive.
We enjoyed our stay and will be back

We can’t thank Kimo and his family enough for such wonderful stay in Hawaii. We absolutely loved the location and atmosphere of this place. Kimo was so kind and welcoming to our family. He had great recommendations and having access to beach gear made a world of difference traveling to the beach as a family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and if we come back we will stay here again.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this property in Hawaii, and it was perfect for us. I was born in Oahu & half my family lives here. Staying here felt like "home".
Kailua has always been the best part of the island for me. At this location you are a short 5 min drive (15 min walk) to Lanikai beach. You have local coffee shops, king donut, saimin & manapua close by. If you want the hustle & bustle of Waikiki, you're a short 25 min drive away. (It's a beautiful drive too). When you're all done with exploring for the day, you will come back to all comforts a home has to offer.
Overall, our stay at this property was nothing short of magical, and we cannot wait to return again in the future. Thank you to the owners & the property manager (who checked in with us during the week) for their hospitality. Mahalo.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! We had access to the canal and were so close to shopping and beaches! The home was so clean and had everything we needed! The hosts were very kind and accommodating! I would definitely stay here again!!

We had an awesome visit. Teenagers loved staying in house vs hotel. Love the area and beach. Meant to use kayaks but ran out of time. Very tired leased with communication with property owner and property manager. Everyone very nice.

We loved staying in Kailua, and the nice yard on the canal was a nice setting with mountains in the background (though there is a somewhat busy street close enough that you do hear car traffic also). The property is clean and had pretty much everything we needed. We also loved the spaciousness, and the easy access to Kailua town and the beach. Cons: 1) glad I looked at the VRBO access code (owners one was wrong), otherwise would've been locked out, 2) electricity is a bit tricky (e.g. some lights are hard to figure out how to turn on, and you can't use hair dryers in any of the bathrooms, the host has warnings about being careful not to blow circuits), 3) do NOT leave food out (we had a mega ant colony invade when we left some nuts and dried fruit not fully sealed), 4) owner's dog barks a bit in the mornings and evenings -- we were up early so it wasn't a huge deal, but might bother you if you like to sleep in.

The place was awesome! Very spacious and clean. Everything you needed in the kitchen to cook. We used the bbq a few times! Great sized back yard. We used the kayaks the last day, one of which was a 2 seater! When you decide to head to the beach they had a variety of gear and toys you need for all different activites, that was super convenient! Host was friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Will be saving and hopefully be back soon! Thank you!

Love the location. The backyard was spacious and it was nice to have the canal nearby.
Most of the kitchen pans are warped which makes cooking difficult, and a lot of the glasses and stemware are chipped. We really wanted to like it, and if it’s all about location, this is a great place for you. But the rugs and furniture were stained. The middle bedroom had the most uncomfortable bed any of us have ever felt. It sagged so much that you couldn’t get comfortable. The owner was kind and quick to respond to any issues we had, but unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot to do about the cleanliness and overall wear of a lot of the things in the unit. It wouldn’t cost a lot to update a few things and then this place would be great.

This property was a great location for our visit to Oahu. It was in close proximity to the beach and the town shops. The property manager, David, was incredible and very attentive. Any questions we had, he was quick to respond. The only negatives were only one of the kayaks is working and often, there were dogs from the other resident barking during the night. This only affected the master bedroom. Other than those, it was perfect and we’d definitely stay again.

We were a group of adults and one child spending 1 week in Pua’s home end January and our summarized impression: we couldn’t ask for more ! Property is large, clean and has everything , a large living & well quipped kitchen, comfy rooms, functional AC, clean bathrooms and even beach chairs, towels, toys, volleyballs ! Kayaking from the property to ocean was a breeze and was also included ! Pua and David were prompt and courteous, and helped us in every possible way ! We thank you guys and we fully recommend your lovely place ! Kind regards and hope we’ll see you soon ! Radu & friends, Vancouver, Canada
