This condo is well-equipped, clean and well-maintained. It is close to both shopping areas and a movie theater, and we were able to sit on the large lanai both in the morning and evening. The Association's grounds were tropical and very well-kept. Kurt and Bonnie, the owners, were pleasant and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The assigned parking spot is a huge plus. We will definitely stay at this unit again.

Location worked for us, 30 min from Two Step beach and very close to KTA supermarket. The complex is older but the condo has been partially updated with newer kitchen and bathroom counter tops, newer appliances and gorgeous views of the golf course. I loved the trees outside of the windows and balcony. Sofa and recliner in living room are not very comfortable as some reviews have mentioned. The first night we were there, it was pouring and the noise of the rain when hitting the metal roof right outside of the second bedroom kept me awake all night. We got some earplugs the next day for sleeping and we were fine afterwards. That's why I gave it 4 stars. In general, the condo is pretty nice, it stocked everything we needed, very spacious and beds were comfortable.

As per usual, Kurt and Bonnie paved the way for a great stay in their beautiful, very comfortable, well equipped condo. Everything was in tip top shape, clean, and ready upon arrival. Our only issue was that the time went by way too quickly- wished we had more time to enjoy their wonderful condo!

Very clean and organized, it was a great place to stay in Kona. An incredible orchestra of birds singing just off of the lanai every day was such a pleasant experience.

Kurt and Bonnie’s condo was perfect for our Hawaiian vacation. The upper floor unit is in a peaceful and relaxing location with expansive views overlooking the golf course. As an end unit, Unit 203 feels like a separate home. With a back lanai facing the golf course and a front master bedroom lanai facing a tropical entry, we kept cool with in-flowing breezes. I couldn’t wait to enjoy my coffee out on the lanai each morning listening to the birds and watching mongoose digging for grubs.
The beds are super comfortable, and the living room is large enough to comfortably accommodate an entire family. The property is clean, well furnished, and well organized, making it very easy to navigate and enjoy our stay. There are plenty of kitchen supplies to make meal-prep and clean-up easy. Kurt and Bonnie provide a basic stock of last-minute ingredients like spices, which is so helpful. Honestly, there isn’t anything missing. They also have snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, and picnicking supplies, which were a lifesaver for us because we forgot to pack an important piece of our snorkeling gear.
The condo is close to everything. It is just steps away from all the complex amenities (pools, hot tubs, tennis/pickleball courts, and BBQ's), and a short walk (a block or two) to He’eia Bay for body surfing and Keauhou Bay for swimming, snorkeling and kayak rentals. Restaurants, groceries, and shops are minutes away and easy to access. A farmer’s market is 6 minutes away.
Kurt and Bonnie made us feel so comfortable and right at home. They were so easy to communicate with and so accommodating. Honestly, we’re already making plans to go back.

The closure of the ocean pool during our stay was problematic for us. There are other nice pools but we had no place to sit at the ocean without leaving the property and driving or walking downhill to the little bay which for some people might be problematic or sitting on the Grass in front of other units or lava even to watch the sunset-we were promised a discount which we never received. If the ocean pool is not under renovation this will be a nice place to vacation. We stayed before in the same complex in a much simpler and smaller unit and had a much better vacation but we did not have a terrible or even bad time-with lemons one makes lemonade right? It will remain unclear to me how such detail oriented owners in every way about their unit can miss knowing about a pool renovation and forget a promise. Hope the pool turned out nice. It is a nice complex because it is kept up.

I was very impressed with all the little extras that were included. It made the trip so much more enjoyable. Get the AC, it is worth the extra $.

Everything available for your use, from beach chairs, snorkels coolie bags. Beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable beds. Our daughtet and son-inlaw joined us for one week and we met up with family from Pennsylvania, who had another condo in the same complex. Pools were great, 3 to choose from. Wonderful stay and would recommend this place. Thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our 16 day stay (November 16 to December 2) at Condo 203, located in the beautiful Kanaloa at Kona Resort. The two bedroom, two bathroom condo with a large lanai facing the golf course, is well maintained, clean, has a well equipped kitchen and a perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation.
The condo location is close to the resort entrance, the 3 swimming pools and a short walk down to the ocean front where on can watch the beautiful sunsets. We particularly enjoyed the lanai as it faces away from the hot afternoon sun; it is a perfect place to relax, watch the golfers, birds and the odd mongoose playing in the bushes. It is only a short drive to the grocery store and Saturday Farmers Market.
We would definitely recommend staying at this condo and we are looking foreward to returning in the near future.
This is the third time we've stayed in this unit and we absolutely love it. We came with my in-laws again, and this unit is perfectly laid out for two couples, or a family with kids if that is you. It is quiet yet well located to get everywhere easily. The beds are very comfortable and the unit is very clean and well equipped. Probably our favorite is the lanai, which has a dining table as well as lounge chairs. We spent a lot of time out here watching and listening to the beautiful birds. The grounds are very well kept and there is quite a variety of tropical vegetation. Everything was perfect for our stay, as usual. We definitely recommend this unit for couples or families.
We have been staying at Kanaloa, Condo 203, off and on for the last 40-years and the Unit consistently provides us with exactly what we had to leave behind from our prior stay: Spacious accommodations, comfort, air-conditioning, any beach, snorkeling equipment, view of the golf course especially from the shaded lanai while enjoying our much awaited taste of fresh papaya, more than sufficient equipment and utensils for eating in, swimming pools, barbecues if one wants to eat in, and most importantly a handy shopping center with grocery store at the top of the hill. This year our stay was for 2-weeks prior to Thanksgiving, and we had the wilderness joy of two turkeys greeting us each evening as we left the entrance road to Kanaloa. "Hope they made it through the holidays."
We had a wonderful stay at Kurt and Bonnie’s Condo. It was very beautiful and fully equipped for anything you might need. We have stayed at another condo for many years but this by far was the loveliest and nicest stay we have had. The beds were very comfy, it was quiet, and quite spacious. Thank you Kurt and Bonnie we will definitely be back…
The place was very pleasant and beautiful.
We stayed for a week and were very pleased. The property is beautiful, has a nice view and was very clean. The owner was very helpful and responsive, and provided some great local suggestions. Costco and Walmart aren’t too far away, and the condo is fully equipped with everything you need for meals in (or coolers for picnics!). Overall an excellent property and we would not hesitate to stay again.
This was a great staycation. The condo was perfect. Quiet, relaxing , cool, clean, fully stocked with everything you could ever need. A home away from home. We’d definitely like to come back here again…. for sure!
