From the bathroom to the beach chairs, this unit needs some updating. We didn’t find the unit very welcoming at all. When we walked in, the unit was very hot and stuffy and whoever cleaned it last left their cleaning supplies and dirty cloths on the table. The bathroom was dingy and not as clean as it should have been for guests. There is an old plastic tub surround that is dull and dingy. Cabinets throughout the unit are very dated.
We found the bed and pillows to be quite hard. Bed pillows were yellow as were the protective cases on them. Not appealing at all. The AC worked pretty well, although if you had the AC on in the living room, you were told to leave the storage room door open on the Lanai so the storage room didn’t overheat. The unfortunate part of that rule was while sitting on the Lanai, the best view was sitting in front of the storage room door, but it had to be left open, so you had to sit on the other side. Maybe the overheating problem should be rectified, so that guests can enjoy the view. We have stayed at Hale Kamaole on several occasions, but have never had a complaint until now.
This place was perfect for our few days in Maui. Easy beach access and close to plenty of good eats. It was clean and had everything we needed.
We loved the location. The sunsets were amazing. I would stay there again. They had everything we needed along with beach towels, toys, snorkeling supplies etc. Thank you!

This place was perfect for a trip with a friend. The place was just as it appeared, Marcia was very responsive and helpful, and it was the perfect location. Just a walk across the street to the beach, very close to restaurants. It was the perfect place for our trip to Maui.
The condo was close to the pool and park across the street. It was easy to find a parking spot near the stairs to the condo.
The unit was perfect for us. The location is perfect, right across the street from the beach and nightly sunsets. We will highly recommend this property to friends!!!
The only thing this condo has going for it is the location; directly across the street from a beautiful beach. Of course that can be said for countless properties in Kihei. The furnishings were cheap, worn and dirty. The decor awkward and unattractive.The floors were so dirty that the bottom of our feet looked like we had been out walking barefoot in the street. The washing machine was filthy from having been used to wash area rugs. This was not discovered until after a load of delicates was pulled from the washer covered in sand and grit. The rugs were still in the dryer. If I could I would post pictures, it was disgusting. There was BLACK MOLD on the shower curtain that was reported to both the owner and management. Nothing was done. On-site management is only available between 8 and 5 daily. Maintenance was unavailable after 4. And voicemail to the owner was not returned. If you are looking for a dirty, unattractive, overpriced, outdated room with some nice beach toys, across the street from awesome beaches, this place is for you . If you want more than that for your money keep looking, Kihei has thousands of nice condos for rent.
