This is a great location in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Kalapaki Beach and the bay. We would stay here again.
The location is amazing.Unfortunately the unit is very dated. The condo has no insulation. It has huge windows that allow the afternoon sun to beat into the living/dining room. The undersized window air conditioner simply could not keep the small place comfortable. When the afternoon high was 77 it was in excess of 100 in the living room.We tried leaving all the screened windows and sliders open. Came back to the room at 3:00 pm and it was miserable.Maintenance said “the window unit is functioning fine. It is just too small for the room. Continue to run the fan and keep the windows open”.It was hard to leave the windows and sliders open while not at the condo due to security concerns. The condo was difficult to sleep in since it did not cool down till early morning.
It was awesome, great view

The check in wasn’t smoothThe fridge didn’t workThe carpets was dirtyThe place needed some serious TLCView and location was amazingThere was small black flies in the bed every day.
Excellent location and great views from the living area and small patio. Unfortunately, the unit is very dated. During our stay the refrigerator door would not stay closed and both AC units in the bedrooms were loud and struggled to cool bedroom. Property management was responsive, but no repairs were made. We were told the owner is planning a remodel.
Wonderful view clean place. Just a little dated but the view made up for it.
Pali Nui Suite lower level. if you're young and don't mind trapping up and downstairs I suppose it's OK. There are some issues with the place starting with the air conditioning units. This unit has two bedrooms two bath a bath has been converted into a storage unit. Three wall/window air conditioning systems that sound like the bearings are going out of the fans.
When contacting the rental agency about getting it fixed, they said that the owner would be here next month replacing all three of them. I have skepticism there. In the guest bathroom, which is the one upstairs the tub is rusting around the wall. around the floor there is Rust in seepage. The shower handle has to be forced to be turned. Do you want to find your water setting and then to adjust it you have to hit it with a palm your hand to make it move hotter or colder. The tub did have a door on it. They removed it the top door hanger as a converted shower curtain hanger. This allows approximately 10 to 12 inches of shower curtain hanging down into the tub. Very easy to slip on.
The tub has non-skid taping in it. Well, the non-skid part has disappeared. I'm 79 years old first night here I slipped on it fell out of the tub. I have bruises up and down my back and my butt to prove it. I notified management and the response was never happened before. Maybe it hasn't happened to me and that's something that needs to be addressed.
There are no smoke alarms/detectors this unit. Which, according to state code is again
The location of this place is perfect. The only draw back and no fault of the property owners is these large beautiful windows let in alot of afternoon sun making the whole living room so hot even with the a/c units on. If we were gone in the afternoon you can't tell.
1The location of property was great with a balcony that overlooked the bay. Beach was within walking distance as were Dukes restaurant and Skinny Mikes with great shaved ice and ice cream. The place is basic, no bells or whistles, but it was very pleasant and was clean, beds were comfortable. It was a reasonable price.
AC unit in LR inadequate during the afternoo hours........no way to cool down the room.
Really enjoyed our 50th wedding anniversary here. Property a little worn and used but made it feel more like a home, not a hotel. Super service when we accidentally locked ourselves out one night. Highlights of trip National Botanic Garden, helicopter ride, Gaylord restaurant, and Lydgate beach—great for seniors—all close by. Would stay here again.
