The pool was filthy. It was green and had to be brushed for 10 mins prior to using then wait a day. We had roaches, just two but both in the bedrooms.

The property manager was more than helpful.
The vacation rental was very clean.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

We stayed 3 nights at this place. Overall it was okay. I didn't realize that the place did not have air conditioning when I booked it and even though they had fans everywhere, it was really hot during the day. The cottage is about 500 ft from the parking area and with the heat it was hard to walk with our luggage. Also when we left going up hill with our belongings was hard.They don't provide shampoo and conditioner which was very surprising to me.The location was good, about 13 min drive to Hanalei Bay which is where we went most of the time.

This little cottage is definitely an experience in and of itself. It's at the end of a little pathway, extremely quiet and extremely beautiful. All of the listing data matched with our experience. The only thing that was lacking in our opinion was air conditioning. This place gets very hot and muggy. In the two weeks we stayed there it was very difficult to recover from the exhausting humidity and heat. I feel like our vacation would've been significantly better if we had the sleep we needed without feeling miserable throughout the nights. In our humble opinion his place would be unbeatable if it weren't for the lack of any kind of air conditioning. There was a mini split air conditioner on the wall but it did not work - something that should be fixed without question. Be prepared for the muggy heat if you choose to stay at this place.
We couldn't have asked for a better location. It was easy to get around the island, and it was very quiet and so beautiful! You could feel the love in this special house. The house was immaculate and cozy. The lani with the dipping pool was terrific. The management company communicated well. I wouldn't change anything, and I plan to return and stay there again!
Fantastic airflow, great sleeping, outdoor patio table with bird watching was my fav.Only kitchen slightly difficult to maneuver in and dish washer did not work.
The wading pool was extremely cold the whole time we were there, none of the 4 in our party could enjoy it, unfortunately …The vegetation is beautiful & creates much seclusion but it prevents the sun from shining on back patio or pool area, which was very disappointing

Wonderful! Beautiful, private, all the amenities needed!
Overall it was perfect! The only problem was with the refrigerator. It wasn’t cold and some of our food spoiled. The food was expensive enough and to have it spoil was criminal! It was truly a secluded, beautiful and special place. We would stay there again and again.

Pros: Good location as far as peace and quiet. It’s a freestanding unit so there’s no shared walls or anyone above you making noise. Bbq and beach/pool accessories are onsite.Fans in every room. Cons:The air conditioning is solar powered so expect it to not work about an hour before sunset. Hawaii is humid so it will get warm and muggy even in December for the first few hours at night. The air feels turbid without AC. There are nats and flies constantly within the unit. Cobwebs and dead flies are all over the place especially behind tables and floors. Geckos are hidden inside the cracks in the ceiling and even though they help with flies, you will hear them every night if you don’t mind. It is dusty around anything that’s not easily cleaned from the front surfaces. The unit is technically a two bedroom but the walls are wide open throughout so there’s no privacy between the living room and bedrooms. If you’re bringing a baby then expect to stay quiet if your baby is sensitive to noise in one of the bedrooms. The pool was nice to have but the sun never hit the pool deck in December. The step down to the pool is further than convenient. Be careful of a low spot where water doesn’t run off on the deck because it builds moss and gets slippery (small spot in front of pool). The walk down to the unit is on a steep grade and the furthest unit from the parking lot. (Groceries, luggage, etc.)The sofas were small and not very comfortable to lay down in. Conclusion:This place can be nice for some vacationers but it wasn’t what we expected. For the price we paid we thought it should have been nicer based on he description and pictures.Our second stay was far cleaner and nicer all around. And it’s was cheaper by about $50/night.
