Excellent location and the room was immaculate and beautiful! The Welcome Basket was very generous and yummy!
Hotel is beautiful, pools are amazing, food good in restaurant. Good location, but you do need a car to get around. Bed was super comfy, very high off ground, might be an issue for short people. Very nice place,
The room is centrally located within the resort with great views of the pool and the beach. Very comfortable and lots of items provided in the room. 18% gratuity is automatically added to any bill at the restaurants and/or pool bar, but the servers were good about informing you of this ahead of time. We definitely would book again.
5 minutes from Airport. Easy to drive north and South Island. Unit has large patio because on main floor across from pools
We loved our stay at the KBR! Unit #3124 had nice upgrades (tile floors & shower in particular) compared to friends staying in other units which had original carpet and amenities. Nice location on bottom floor with patio slider opening up to pool area. The "ocean view" is a bit of a stretch, you can see it in the distance but too low to really see much, so if the view is what you want, a higher floor would be better.
Air conditioning worked great (we were a little concerned about that based on previous reviews). If I wanted to nit pick, there were some things that could be improved for an aging property, but we weren't paying for Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton! Main "complaint" would be that there was too much stuff already in the closet (3/4 of it was already taken up) and not enough space for us to hang our clothes.
For future renters... note that there is no daily housekeeping however you can pay for a fee (not sure how much, we didn't use it). Small initial quantities of toiletries are provided such as shampoo, conditioner, etc. but beyond that must bring your own... this includes toilet paper! We had a 10 night stay so had to buy some, housekeeping would not give us more as a rental unit. Otherwise, well stocked with a refrigerator, cups, utensils, paper towels and other essentials. Also two pool/beach towels were in the room.
Though the beach area in front of the KBR really isn't for swimming or snorkling, we thought the location in Lihue was ideal for exploring all areas of the island. If you get up early, there are some amazing sunrises!

Many problems in the first two days. Flooding in bathroom many broken items. This was a disaster for two days EMBARRASSING..
Had a wonderful time. I would most definitely go back and stay here again.

Great place, great resort but the room was packed with a lot of clutter and had Moldy smell to it. I understand that it’s a tropical island and so the mildew smell is somewhat typical but it wasn’t a smell that I was used and it made it really hard to breath. Vents need to be changed and cleaned, you can see dust all around them. Air condition is not really air condition but a fan. So the smell stayed throughout the room.
