I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was really helpful and courteous. The location is great and close to everything. Nice and clean accomodations. Highly recommendable hotel. Regards.
Nice property, very similar to previous two properties we have stayed at in this hotel. Full kitchen yes BUT seemed Asian, a lot like our Japanese daughter in laws kitchen. Disappointed that we had been mislead and had to purchase our own saucepans to be able to cook as only one huge saucepan was provided and about 4 frying pans. Overall though the unit was very comfortable but could do with a bigger TV for those that stay in, Have not had such a small telly, even at our own holiday apartment for 20 years. Reasonably quiet apartment, high enough up so traffic not really a problem - on the right side of the building to avoid the Ilikai partying noise/music on the other side.
One thing they could improve is a better cook ware. Other than that it was the perfect place! We will definitely book this property again.
Great vacation rental for two people who don't share the same bed. Location can't be beat based on proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shopping areas. Kitchen makes this unit much better than a standard hotel room - spacious, great appliances (oven/stove, fridge/freezer, coffee pot, rice cooker, dishes/cooking utensils, just no dishwasher). Great air conditioning. I recommend the landlord upgrades the beds - the headboards are detached from the rest of the frame and the entire things are creeky and scoot around easily. The balcony is large and has a great view - faces east so you can watch the sunrise. Tons of natural lighting because the entire east wall is a glass sliding door (with curtains). Easy check-in (they sent me the door code) and friendly staff if you have any questions. I also recommend the landlord puts a peephole in the door so guests can safely see who is knocking before opening the door. Overall, great place to stay for a very reasonable price.
I stay in the Ilikai often, commuting from Florida for my job in Hawaii. I believe I may have stayed in this condo before. While the condo is outdated, it is relatively clean, and a good value for the money. I enjoy this location on the fringe of Waikiki. It's very convenient and easy access to all sorts of activities.
The condo itself could have a better stocked kitchen, for my needs. I understand it is hard to keep utensils in a condo that is used frequently by visitors, but not having a single sauce pan or kettle made it hard for me to cook my meals, which I like to do, hence booking a place that has a kitchen. It's perfectly fine for those who prefer to dine out all meals.
Many of the dishes I did use had to be washed first, as they were put away dirty.
In spite of the above, I would book this condo again, because for my needs it was adequate.
We needed a 2 1/2 week rental option for a work stay. This property was perfect for what we needed. Without having a car, it was in walking distance to so many restaurants, groceries and shopping. We loved all the cute shops in the surrounding hotel areas that we could walk through. The slider wall divider was nice for privacy. The condo was roomy with a living area and simple kitchen which we used often to save money eating out. There were a few broken items in the condo like a missing towel bar from the wall in the bathroom and a broken handle on the microwave but other than that we had what we needed for our stay.
