When we first arrived and looked at the map of the property, we were immediately overwhelmed, don’t be. The resort is not as spread out as the map reads and actually easy to get around. They also have golf carts to get you wherever you need to go on property. The lagoon pool is great, we never went to the lower pool but it looked nice. The grounds are beautifully kept and check in was a breeze. My husband and I LOVED the restaurant, Happy Talk, on property. After a long day out, it was great to “stay in.” We would grab a seat at the bar and eat dinner. The pizza place, also on property was also fantastic. You can eat in or carry out. A lot of people would bring their pizza to the pool, which is a great option. I do feel that off of property there are not a lot of sit down restaurants with a waitress, something we enjoy. The only other thing that was disappointing, the beach. The walk there was great, downhill. The walk back, just call for a golf cart, it is a heck of a climb. You also “share” a beach that you feel a bit intrusive when enjoying. The remainder of the beach is not the best. Overall, our time was good at HBR.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for 2 people. Loved the nice touches like the wine and coffee. Beautiful views from the lanai. The property grounds are amazing. You can walk to the beach from here. Wish we had more time. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was just as described. It was nicely appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. There were some nice welcoming touches, and the view never failed to impress. The resort itself is lush and beautiful with all the amenities one could want.
We had a perfect trip to Kauai! Definitely recommend Hanalei Resort to anyone visiting. The views and amenities are stunning!

Thoroughly enjoyed Kauai. Our studio was very nice however no way to wash dishes that were provided. That was our fault. Would absolutely stay at Hanalei Bat again but would get a room with A kitchenette. Also no maid service so had to wash our towels But that’s nitpicking.
Grounds are manicured, services and amenities are excellent. Nice having 2 restaurants on the property. Loved the view and the beach has amazing snorkeling and was quiet.
All the staff at the resort are friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.
The room itself was 5 stars across the board. Clean, spacious, great view, and the bottle of wine and misc chocolates were a nice touch. The resort (in my opinion) does not sell itself good enough on the website. It is beautiful, but it’s even more amazing in person. We had a phenomenal stay at this resort and the room was everything we’d hoped for.
10/10. Clean, comfy bed. Patio with gorgeous views. We slept with the screen across the patio each night to fall asleep to the distant waves crashing. Location is excellent. 10 min drive to Hanalei with lots of good restaurants and shops (try Hanalei Bread co for breakfast, AMA ramen for stunning dinner location and bar acids for excellent food!) 5 mins to close by shopping centre with other excellent restaurants (try B’s kitchen)
Connecting door to unit next door has no sound proofing, there was a party going on and it sounded like it was happening in our unit. A 2nd door should be installed to prevent noises being heard between both units.
Your property has the most beautiful view I have ever seen. It was pleasure staying there in the evening, just watching the bay. The place is clean, quiet and beautiful.
