Hale Hapuna is absolutely beautiful!Spacious, spotless, and in a fantastic location, this home truly has so much to love. The beds are very comfortable, and the furniture is clean and cozy, making it easy to settle in and feel right at home. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils and gadgets you need to make anything from a quick snack to a full meal.One of the best parts is the location, you can walk to the beach, a surf shop, and couple of eateries (Puka Dog & Brennecke Beach Broiler). It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a morning or evening walk.The only downside is that the upstairs area doesn't have A/C. However, there are plenty of ceiling and floor fans, and you can open the windows to let in the cross breeze. Just note that the sliding windows don’t have screens, so we had a few feathered visitors fly in! Honestly, we didn’t mind, it added to the charm. That said, it would be great if the owner added screens for future guests.Even with that small issue, I would absolutely recommend Hale Hapuna to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in paradise. We'd come back in a heartbeat!
Great location. House accommodated all of us with room to spread out. Upstairs livingroom and lanai views were incredible. Entertaining our local family was nice in the spaciousness of the upstairs living and dining area. The curtain/shades in main house were mostly not working but we made due. Enjoyed ourselves and will try to rent again!

Our family of 8 stayed at this property to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The one word that comes to mind is "breathtaking"! The views from the lanai (mountains, ocean, birds, etc) were absolutely spectacular. The decor of the home was so tasteful and beautiful, and the layout was perfect for our family. We loved having all of the bedroom on the lower floor, and the massive living/entertainment area upstairs. We used every bit of the home, from the TV area to the dining area, to the hangout space. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out, but also provided perfect spaces to spend quality time together. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked, and more than enough towels and beach gear. The ping pong table was also a bit hit with the grandkids! This property definitely exceeded our expectations - We will definitely revisit during our next visit to Poipu!
Our family loved the gorgeous views, clean and spacious rooms with air conditioning and the location to other activities.
The house exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, well stocked and looked like it had recently been updated. We enjoyed the boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas and beach wagon. The outdoor showers were a plus. It was the perfect space for our family of 12. We plan to return. The property managers were responsive and easy to work with.
The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The upstairs is one large room with an amazing covered deck. Great view!
The property is perfect for a large family get together. Loved the guest house as a great way to get away when all the activity got overwhelming.It was a perfect vacation that was greatly enhanced by everyone being together

The lockbox code was not given for the cottage property and took about 2 hours to receive a response back through the emergency contact number.On top of that, the curtains were done in a time manner. HOWEVER, upon inspecting the cottage prior to leaving (I didn’t stay there, I stayed in the main house), I realized the restroom curtains were never properly installed. Instead, it was some cloth that my parents found lying around that they used for a privacy screen. And their room sliding window with the 4 panels.. three 3 window has a long enough curtain but the last one in the left was halfway. Meaning, it was not long enough. According to them, they were tired of waiting for things to be put up property so they didn’t complain about it to me. And therefore was not a great stay for them..

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property! Our family of 12 had ample space to spread out. The views from the amazing balcony were one of my favorite things to wake up to every morning! Coffee on the comfy lounge chairs while I watched the sun come up was incredible. Little birds would come and visit while we were outside. The whole place had more than everything we needed and wanted for the beach and fully equipped kitchen! Thank you for hosting our family!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Hale Hapuna. There were 15 of us and there was something for everyone, from the 3 year olds to the 70 year olds. It was a perfect vacation. Everyone enjoyed the walkable beaches, the beautiful views and the spacious living areas. We would definitely do it all over again!

We all had a wonderful time on this property! We used the in-law suite for the two couples in our party and had the families with kids in the main house. This allowed the couples more quiet time. The beach was within walking distance and the house was well stocked with beach stuff. We played lots of ping pong and it was nice to have the washer and dryer. The lanai had a lovely breeze with the most beautiful beach and mountain views perfect for chit chat, breakfast, or relaxing. One big negative however is the heat! There is no AC upstairs and two of the room ACs broke down. Maintenance was a bit slow, so minor issues like dead bulbs and clogged kitchen sinks became inconvenient. Also, the property needs deep cleaning - under the mattresses, drawers, etc. Overall, we had an amazing experience.

We had a great time! Very convenient to beach and all of Poipu/Koloa. Great for a large group.
This is a beautiful property, with unbelievable views of the water and the lush island from each level. There's ample outdoor deck space and windows and doors to open for a cross-breeze. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well-appointed and having a bathroom for each bedroom is a huge bonus. In the main house they are all ensuite and the Ohana has one in the hallway. In April, those from our group in the Ohana said with windows and fans they slept fine without air conditioning. The main house has a mini-split ac in each bedroom. We found the kitchen well-stocked for cooking meals. The furniture and rugs are a bit worn out and all the wicker makes it hard to get comfortable, but there’s a large dining table for gathering and lots of seating on the wraparound deck. The guest closet in the garage is stocked with toys, chairs, snorkels, bikes, and boogie boards. There are beach towels by the front door and a clothesline for drying. You can walk to Poipu Beach and a shopping center with a Starbucks, restaurants, and surf/gift shops. Big Save grocery store is only about a 5-minute drive away. We parked two minivans and a car in the driveway and could have fit another. Overall the house exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful trip!

Everything was perfect! The hospitality, the respect of privacy, and mostly: the home! This home was set up beautifully! Clean, organized, great kitchen and eating area! There was a family sitting area, a TV area, an eating area, relaxing huge lanais, a ping pong area, some fun beach items, and a separate cottage for the younger adults, even a beautiful floral arrangement! The people Garden Island were so helpful and addressed our needs immediately. I want to go back right now!!

The rental home was great. Everyone had room to spread out and relax. Surprised that the plates in the kitchen were not to be used in the microwave.Garden Island Rentals was non responsive to me, Bev Cook, the listed renter. We used my daughter's phone to book the reservation, so she received all the information. Three times I asked for it to be changed, and it never happened. Also asked for additional information about the house, and never received an answer. I was the paying hostess for this accommodation, my credit card was used, but could never get anyone to remove Karen Ray, and change to Bev Cook. Frustrating!It's a good thing a stepladder was available for access to the kitchen cabinets, most of us could not reach the 3rd and 4th shelves. All in all, it was a wonderful home and a restful stay. Would recommend this property to large familys/groups.

Our extended family had a wonderful vacation at this house. Stunning views of the surrounding mountains and ocean. Plenty of space for all to gather for meals and relaxing. Convenient to nearby beaches with plenty of beach chairs, toys, etc. and even a wagon to tow them in. Hated to leave!
