Just book it! This place is incredible in every way! So clean! Feels brand new and the decor and finishes are so nice! If you want to wake up to the ocean waves and be able to step right out onto the beach, this is the place for you! Everything you need to cook at home if you don't want to drive to town. (Go to Walmart to get your groceries before you head North, food at local stores is expensive) This home does share a lot with another identical home, but those guests were not a problem for us. You will see other people though because of that if the other home is booked, so if you want total seclusion, this is not the place for you. It does take about 10 minutes of driving to get to Hanalei for any restaurants, etc... everything takes a while in Hawaii due to windy slow roads. As far as the beach goes, this is NOT a snorkeling beach. In fact, we couldn't get in the water at all. There are lots of big rocks and big waves since this home faces North. The water is rough in this area, so do not plan to get in the water at this home. Tons of nearby beaches though that are safer for water stuff. Not being able to get in the water was not an issue for us. You have to give up something to have views like this! Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Manager was super responsive when we had an issue. The only thing that I did not like was that the hot tub chemicals were so strong that you could not actually get in and enjoy it.
Everything was perfect! Check-in was a breeze, easy internet access, and kitchen is absolutely beautiful and lovely to use. The house is gorgeous, welcoming and very thoughtfully designed. We were in heaven! This is our second time here and we hope to come back.

This was our second time renting Hale Elua and it was just as perfect as we remembered! The house is super well taken care of, it's stocked well with the best of the best, air conditioning and fans in every room, and just gorgeous! Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the incredible sunrises above the ocean right from the bedroom is a true gift. You have the best beach right in front of the house to begin the gorgeous 15 min walk to tunnels. The hot tub is an amazing edition to relax in the early morning or after a long day of exploring. We already booked our next stay! Can't wait to be back to relax and unwind in this magical place!

Our second year at this home... Amazing house, amazing location, fantastic service.
This property is amazing!! We found the home bigger and nicer than what it looks like from the pictures. It accommodates 6 adults easily with lots of space. It is right on the beach (not swimmable though) and the grassy/shady lawn is perfect spot. The best part is the lanai-it is large with a table for 6, 2 oversized comfy chairs and a hot tub. The view is amazing! Tunnels beach is just around the corner-a quick 15 minute walk with calmer water to swim and snorkel. Beach is not busy or crowded. Responses from host were quick (the only thing we needed was trash/recycling emptied) and we had no problems during our stay. It is a quiet, remote location that offers solitude. Even though the rental right next door is close, we never heard the visitors and still felt secluded. We hope to come back to this exact rental in the future!
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house right on the beach. The house has direct access to the beach and it’s a beautiful walk on the beach to the Napali Coast. The house had everything we needed and was very peaceful.

This was our second visit to the north shore of Kauai and the location of this home could not have been more perfect. We didn’t mind the gorgeous 15 minute drive into Hanalei Bay and enjoyed the solitude and peace this home offered. We had breakfast each morning on the deck overlooking the ocean, leisurely afternoons in the hammock, and lovely walks on the beach to Tunnels for snorkeling. The home itself was gorgeous and well appointed but left some to be desired. Some of cookware and knives were worn out, it was lacking basic amenities we would be accustomed to for a rental of this quality (tea, coffee, sweetener, spices, propane for the grill, had to request olive oil and shampoo/conditioner which our on-island property manager delivered). The air conditioner splits were helpful for warm afternoons but we felt the mattresses were uncomfortable. We found it off putting how it was mentioned many times that after the starter supply of toilet paper etc. was used, we were on our own. Overall, for the cost vs. value, I don’t feel we would return to this particular property and were a bit surprised by Hawaii Life’s property management.

Stunning setting and home. Total relaxation in a very peaceful setting. Clean, beautifully furnished and comfortable. We will return.
