Above and beyond our expectations. Did not disappoint. The host was a pleasure to get to know. Easy access, 20 minutes from Hilo airport. A rural, tropical experience. The Government costal road was like a ride through Jurassic Park. You can be any place on the Big Island in less than 2 hours. The little town of Pahoa had all the amenities we needed.
We had a real nice time in this cozy, homey and quiet apartment with a lovely yard. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. You can walk to the water in a few minutes away and the jungle is close as well. We were supplied with fold out chairs and a cooler. Very helpful for driving to a beach.Groceries are a few miles away. We felt lucky to have picked this place.
This is a compact space but well organized. The kitchen is small and stocked with basics, maybe not everything you need for major meals, but enough for simple ones. This unit is intended to be accessible, and as such counters and light switches are low. If you're tall, the kitchen sink is very short! We were greeted at arrival, and had one maintenance issue which was promptly addressed.

Very nice host, great 2 bedroom place, lovely Pahoa. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it. In fact, when I return to Pahoa, I hope it’s available.

We went to Pahoa to visit family and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The rental was comfortable and we loved the views, outdoor shower and nightly serenade by the coqui frogs. Manfred and Elfie were so gracious, helpful and accommodating during our entire stay. We would definitely stay here again!
The hosts are fun, informative of the area and local things to see and do. The property is unique, clean and comfortable. Conveniently located. We recommend this as a great place.

Great place to be with awesome owners living next door. Cottage like feel in a house with three apartments. Nice patio and beautiful view of the ocean at the end of the street.
