Awesome sunsets and quiet starry nights await you at this very clean and cozy one bedroom home situated at 1700 feet on two lush acres of the dry and sunny side of Waimea Town. From here you are only minutes away from the finest beaches (such as Mauna Kea and Hapuna, water activites ( sailing, fishing, whale watching, great snorkeling and diving), dining and golfing the Big Island has to offer.
This thoughtfully built home is serene and quiet located where the temperature provides warm days and cool evenings. The tranquil property is lavishly and organically landscaped with a variety of tropical fruits (We Like To Share) flowering plants and trees.
A Comfortable and tastefully furnished living room provides space for a relaxing read or television viewing and opens out onto a large private lanai. Luxuriate here in the serene setting or nestle into the tropical furnishings.
The separate master bedroom offers a queen size bed and luxurious linens. The private bathroom includes a washer and dryer for your convenience. For a real treat... experience the additional outdoor shower garden under the stars.

We loved our stay! Matt and Rose were excellent hosts. Our residence was so serene and homey. I loved to grill and visiting with the geckos and loved the visits from Jackson!!
Harmonious Hawaiian Hideaway. Clean and lovely interior. The grounds are beautiful, and grilling on the deck overlooking the orchard at sunset was a plus. Great location perfect for our stay.
Lovely home! Close to Waimea, yet was so peaceful it felt countries away. Great host with quick responses. Hope to stay here again in the future!
The property was a lovely private little oasis. Quiet, clean and very well kitted out. A perfect launching pad for exploring the Big Island.
For those familiar with the Big Island as we are, we were thrilled to find a spot so close to Waimea and the islands best beaches at such a reasonable price! Although the layout was kind of funky (you go through an office/entry then through the bathroom to get to the main living area, it was very cool! It would be a great place for long term digital nomads. The outside shower was a delight and the quietness of the area very appreciated. The owner was a solid communicator and kind enough to do a little shopping for us since we got in around 11pm. I always hate to name the cons because I never want to hurt the owner's feelings, but I rely heavily on the honest reviews when selecting a place as we travel a lot. The sagging, soft bed was a bummer; lanai/deck could use repair, microwave is pretty dated and difficult to get to, and the small tv is in an armoire and is pretty much only a few inches above floor level.However, as long as the bed was replaced (which the owner indicated he has plans to do) we would TOTALLY stay here again and would recommend it highly to others! We also loved the understated decor and all the BOOKS!

Access was easy off the main road. Great location for many activities and locations. It was nice and cool at night and the house has great ventilation. The outdoor shower was great.
Quiet and comfortable. Matt was available for help with quick response. Enjoyed the neighborhood and convenience to kawaihae harbor and beaches on west side of island.
Gorgeous property, very quiet and away from traffic noise. No A/C, but fans were set up to circulate the cooler outside air in the evening and we slept comfortably. And it stayed cool during the day when it was closed up. I’m sensitive to cleaning products, and it was nice to see natural/fragrance free products were provided. He set us up with a starter kit of coffee, and there were oils and spices set up in the kitchen for our use. Kitchen was well equipped. Easy to drive just 10-15min to the Kahala coast beaches, shopping and restaurants in one direction, and Waimea in the other. Very spacious and comfortable for the two of us.
This property is clean, attractive and peaceful. We did feel closed in by the structure and the lovely but gated garden. In an area with sweeping views of hills and spectacular sunsets, we had to go on a long walk or get in the car to see them. The privacy has this downside.
Absolutely perfect for our stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the large towns but still close enough to everything you need (albeit a car is essential)
