Upstairs in a two-story building, this corner studio sleeps two in a queen bed with louvered windows on three sides for the trade winds. A full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a private lanai make it easy to settle in. The top-floor view keeps the Pacific in sight, while the shared outdoor pool gives you another easy way to spend a warm afternoon.

Kapaʻa Sands is right on Kauaʻi’s east-shore beach, a small 24-unit property with a distinctly vintage island feel. From this coastline, look for turtles and dolphins offshore, and watch for whales in season. Kapaa’s local restaurants and small shops are nearby for a simple meal out, while Ke Ala Hele Makalae offers miles of coastline for walking or biking. This part of Kauaʻi favors slower mornings, ocean watching, and an easy connection to town rather than a big resort scene.
Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.

Very clean and very well maintained condo. Kitchen in particular was well stocked with everything we needed. Bathroom a bit small but clean adequate for 2 people. Bed comfortable. View of the ocean from the lanai and easy access to small quiet beach was the highlight. The grounds are beautiful with the tropical plants and trees. A basic service request for an exterior bulb outage was addressed very promptly. Overall, highly recommend this condo.

The location of the apartament is excelent. On the beach. Ocean front view. You listen to the ocean. Very clean, well equiped. Recomend for stay.
We love Kapaa Sands and have stayed approximately 10 times. This was our first time in this unit. It was extremely clean with upgrades, the only thing we did not like was the fact that the bed was queen size and had very scratchy sheets. There is no need for the large bedside tables or lamps. Smaller tables and hard wired reading lights on each side of the bed would be better. Also the chairs to sit in were extremely uncomfortable. We mostly sat on the patio which was amazing. The umbrella and chairs were broken but we emailed and had brand new nice ones on our porch within a few hours, amazing customer service. We would definitely stay again but would suggest a larger bed and nicer sheets

The room was great. It was close to everything.
Unhurried lifestyle takes place at Kapa’a Sands. Lush gardens and great views. Barbecue area at the pool. Simple accommodations well done.
Everything was perfect for our stay. It was walking distance to the beach and shopping. The studio was immaculately clean and well appointed with everything we need it. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The grounds were also very clean and well cared for. I highly recommend this location.
The room was clean and well maintained with a great view. Private beach, we never saw more than a couple other people. Easy to get to and conveniently located. Easy to get to all areas of the island. We would definitely stay here again!!
