Colony Villas 1702 is a freshly renovated two-story villa on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island, sleeping six across three bedrooms with views of the Kohala Mountains and Mauna Kea. It's about 25 minutes from Kona International Airport (KOA), making it an easy first and last stop on any Big Island trip.
Sleeping and living: a king primary suite with a private balcony and dual walk-in showers, a queen bedroom, and a third bedroom with two twin beds — good for kids or a second couple. Two full bathrooms plus a half bath mean no morning bottleneck. The open living area connects to a full kitchen with granite counters, a new stove and microwave, coffee maker and grinder, blender and ice maker, so you can cook rather than eat out every night. Central A/C with Nest controls, in-unit washer and dryer, and 500+ Mbps fiber internet with a desk, chair and printer for anyone working remotely.
Right outside your door: one of the best-positioned units in Colony Villas, steps from the community pool, hot tub, fitness center, tennis court and pickleball court. Waikoloa Beach Golf Course is a two-minute walk. Kings' Shops and Queens' MarketPlace — restaurants, groceries, and a snorkel shop — are a short stroll or a two-minute drive, and A-Bay is about 17 minutes on foot.
Beach gear included at no charge: chairs, beach towels, boards and water sports gear, so you can skip the rental counter and head straight to the Kohala Coast beaches.
Also included: Smart TV with Netflix, PS5 with games, kids' games and dishware, one dedicated parking space near the unit, and all required host fees built into the displayed price — no surprise charges at checkout.

This unit was clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Conveniently close to the pool and easy to access all of the amenities in Waikoloa. Would absolutely stay again!
We were a group of 6 that included kids ranging in age from 18months to 11 yrs old. We found the unit well supplied in the kitchen, very nice tv options, and were pleasantly surprised with the kids toys and play mats available. It would have been nice to know the unit had 2 pack n plays, we rented pack n plays after contacting the property manager, who said nothing about the unit already having these items. Unit is ideally located close to pool and, gym, property entrance and the only tennis/pickle ball court. Floors could have been cleaner, our feet were noticeably dirty from walking on floors.

Fun time at the property. The house is large and modern and well stocked with useful and convenient amenities. We loved the large sitting room as it enabled everyone to sit and relax together. Place was typically quiet and relaxed. Recommended for future travelers looking for a nice relaxing getaway.
