È Komo Mai! We are pleased to welcome and invite you to stay in our oceanfront villa in Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island. You will feel relaxed and inspired in our Hawaiian island retreat. Hali’i Kai is the only true oceanfront complex in Waikoloa and offers the most spectacular views along the prestigious Kohala Coast.
Our vacation home is one of the most beautifully decorated homes in the resort and was selected by the developer, Centex Destination Properties, to feature on their website (Ho'oulu model).
LOCATION: Our villa, Unit 12D, is an upper-level corner unit and the largest two-bedroom floorplan. We are located in one of the best buildings in the entire complex and just steps from the Ocean Club amenities. Building 12 is both oceanfront and on the golf course with dramatic views of the ocean, splashing blowholes, lava rock, lush green grass and swaying palm trees. You will enjoy a prime oceanfront location with unobstructed panoramic views of the Pacific from every room (a rarity in this project) and the Beach Course’s famous 12th hole along the ocean’s edge.
VILLA INTERIOR: This two-bedroom villa is our special island retreat that reflects our love for Hawai’i. The interior was professionally decorated by one of the islands’ most talented interior designer resulting in a resort-quality vacation home. You will feel welcomed in true Aloha Spirit as you enter our villa. The furnishings and artwork incorporate the surrounding nature and Hawaiian culture.
Our home features a beautiful and richly-appointed living room, large flat-screen smart television, HD-DVR recorder and DVD player, dining table for six and a fully-stocked gourmet kitchen (including Keurig coffeemaker and Vitamix blender) with granite counters, stainless-steel appliances, and African Mahogany cabinetry. Off the living room is a spacious lanai with your own BBQ grill, dining table, and comfortable seating to gaze at magnificent ocean and sunset views.
The master bedroom includes a king-size bed with luxurious bedding, wall-mounted television and DVD player. The master bathroom features two-sink granite counter, large walk-in shower and deep bathtub to soak away your cares. Two queen-size beds are found in the second bedroom along with antique furniture pieces accenting the room, a desk, and an armoire with TV. The guest bathroom is decorated in Big Island style with a full bath, shower and two-sink granite counter. An assortment of island scented bath products are provided.
For your convenience, our home offers a laundry room with full-size washer/dryer, full assortment of bath and beach towels, iron/ironing boards and laundry supplies. High-speed WiFi internet access is included at no charge.
AMENITIES: Our building is next to Hali’i Kai's Ocean Club, an oceanfront clubhouse featuring dramatic ocean views, a large multi-level swimming pool with a waterfall, heated sandy-bottom lava rock spa, aqua loungers and kids’ pool with a spraying turtle. At the private Ocean Club, you will enjoy all the luxury amenities of a first-rate resort with a poolside restaurant and bar, outdoor covered dining and lounge areas, resort quality bathroom facilities, ocean-side exercise cabana and Hali’i Kai’s concierge services. The atmosphere is private and tranquil. The outdoor BBQ area is just steps from the villa for those of you that savor the preparation of a BBQ meal while experiencing a glorious sunset over the ocean.
LOCAL AREA & ATTRACTIONS: Hali’i Kai is situated on a magical site with humpback whales (Kohola) commonly seen frolicking directly off the shoreline during whale season, crashing waves, the azure blue Pacific coastline and the backdrop of sunrises over Mauna Kea. From the Ocean Club, take an easy scenic five-minute stroll on the 'Trail by the Sea' (Ala Kahakai) to the Hilton Waikoloa Village. You can then walk or board a water taxi or tram to several excellent restaurants, the Dolphin Quest lagoon or Kohala Spa.
Our villa is perfect for a memorable family vacation, romantic honeymoon or relaxing getaway. Spend your days partaking in Hali’i Kai’s onsite amenities or enjoy the nearby activities in the Waikoloa Beach Resort, including Anaeho’omalu Bay, two 18-hole championship golf courses, King’s Shop, Queen’s Marketplace, two world class spas, luau shows, assortment of restaurants, and walking tours through petroglyph fields. At Anaeho’omalu Bay, visitors sunbathe on the beach and swim, snorkel, scuba and windsurf in the bay.

Like most reviewers indicated, the views from the lanai are spectacular! We spent a lot of time out there sipping our morning coffee, watching the golfers, enjoying the ocean views...and then watching the sunsets later. The location is great, near the ocean club on the property and not far from Kings and Queens shops. We enjoyed the Hilton property next door too, watching the dolphins and turtles, grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat. The unit was very spacious and well appointed. Great communications with the owner (Kathy) in advance. We stay at vacation rentals quite a bit and we absolutely loved this place!
We had an amazing stay! The condo was perfect! Clean! Updated! Better than advertised! We hope to make our Big Island trip an annual trip! We would love to book this unit for each trip to come! Thank you for allowing us to use your condo!
This must be one of the best units in the entire complex! Comfortably furnished, nicely appointed, amazing view. Convenient location right near the Ocean Club, which is one of the nicest community pool/spa/fitness/bar amenities that we have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Kathy was pleasant and responsive. Highly recommended.
This VRBO was the ultimite condo for us! She had everything we could ask for. Fully stocked in kitchen, bath, utility room, and beach toys. Beautiful view and quiet! She even had ice for the day cooler in the freezer. It was perfect for our family and we will be coming back!
Can’t beat the views!
Place was amazing. Clean, nice decor and the kitchen had all the amenities a person could ask for. Great view of the ocean and golf course. Right next to the Ocean Club which had great food and drinks and all the better to be able to enjoy them by the pool as well. This place will not disappoint. We can't wait to go back!
I can’t say enough good things about our recent stay. The condo is exactly as advertised. The view of the ocean and golf course is spectacular. We enjoyed many hours on the lanai watching the golfers, the ocean and spotting whales. The kitchen had almost everything one might need to prepare meals. The washer/dryer was used often as well. We are already planning on returning to this unit.
This is the 4th time we have stayed at Hali’i Kai and the best yet. Just as described with beautiful views. Well appointed with the extras - shampoo, body was, paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent etc….. We would definitely like to reserve this spot again. Mahalo
The condo is exactly like what is pictured but even better. The ocean views looking over the 6th hole can't be beat. The floor plan is great and the bedrooms are separated so everyone has some privacy. Just steps away from the pool. Our stay was just fantastic!!
