Great place! The place is 100% accurate to the description and photos. The host was excellent and kept in touch throughput the process to make sure our check-in went smoothly. The location is perfect, with great food trucks just a short walk away. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book again.
Larry was a great host! He was available when we needed him or had questions. We had everything we needed within walking distance or rode bicycles. Everything was perfect! Pool and deck area was wonderful, room was clean!
We rented a car from 808smartcars.com which we could park there for 25 a day. It worked out great. The air conditioner kept the entire room comfortable.
We had a very nice stay. Spent a lot of time in the apartment due to health issues and found the bed very comfortable
The area is very convenient without being in the craziness of Waikiki. Very clean and well maintained. Check in was super easy and the host was always available. Will definitely recommend to my friends when the come to visit. The only down side was the pool was closed for repairs but ocean isnt that far way.
I was a little disappointed with how the property was maintained. There were a lot of scuffs on the wall and a couple of unpatched holes in the wall, and although this did not affect our vacation, it was just kind of disappointing. The outlet in the kitchenette did not work for us. The shower is short. If you are over 6 feet like my husband, you will have to duck in order to shower. Also, there were a pair of black socks in the box in the closet (presumably from a prior renter). The bed was sagging in one of the corners - it seems to not fit the bed frame properly. Also, two things I know were not in the control of the property manager: (1) the elevators were very slow and took a long time to get to our floor, and (2) the hallways were very stuffy. The positives were the walkability to the shops, and the AC that worked really well.
The place was very nice to stay at. It was well maintained and cleaned. It was close to the beach and downtown. The owner quickly replied to any questions and concerns we had.
My husband compared the unit to a college students cheap apartment with bare minimal amenities. You can tell everything that is in the unit is the cheapest available and an attempt to cut corners. Here are just some examples of what it was like staying in the unit:- Unit has a shared entry with next door unit and makes it extremely difficult to move luggage and belongings through the entry way. - Picture fell from wall onto table due to typical noise from next door unit- Instead of replacing the microwave over the stove (which we’re assuming is broken) added a counter top microwave to an already small counter top space and now there is zero space- If you’re over 5 foot / you can’t use the shower without sitting or back bending due to the comically small shower/tub area- Shower only has one curtain liner that is too long for the shower and causes it to block the drain when in use. - One of the chairs had a broken/loose leg- Not a full set of serving ware or plates - there was only one spoon which we had to share when eating breakfast I guess for the price it may be “decent” for the area but I would recommend spending the extra money and staying somewhere else.
Badly in need of TLC. Laminate flooring, table, baseboards, dresser all swelled from water. “Sofa” badly stained. I (6ft) cold not stand in most of the shower as my head would touch the ceiling, and the shower head was even lower. Oven did not work-waiting for part…? A/C loud and aimed directly at bed. Listing says parking was 25/24hrs, nope try 50! 45 if u book multiple days. Decent area, nice 10 minute walk to the beach/food/shopping.
This place was in a great location. We were in the middle of shopping, the beach, and we had tons of wood options which was great! Condo itself was pretty clean and it had most of the things we needed for our stay. The host provided detailed check in instructions, making the check in process super easy. The host was also very responsive whenever we reached out with a question! Overall it was a good stay.
Host was awesome. Good communication, helped us arrive an hour earlier than expected. Property is ok. Bed was comfortable, location is good. Not the cleanest but it was what we expected for the location and price. Air conditioner was loud, but kept the room cool. Beach chairs came in handy.
So great condo, everything there as listed, with lots of towels. The host responded quickly. Wifi was fast. Close to the convention center, and room was reasonably quiet. The bakery near lobby was so great, and food trucks were across the street. Highly recommended it.
We stayed at Larry’s apartment for six nights. It was well furnished and comfortable. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.
excellent conmunications with owner, complete with enough coffee, toilet paper, towels etc. for the stay. relatively close to waikiki main streets without having to pay and find extra parking.
Lots of good food near and close to the beach and mall
This condo was easy to get to from the airport with ride share, located conveniently in Honolulu for those who are willing to walk about .5-1 mile to go out, and check-in and check-out instructions were easy and clear. This condo is 0.6 miles from a slightly less crowded beach than Waikiki Beach. There are many shopping and food options within 1 mile toward the Waikiki Beach area. We easily walked between the condo and shops/restaurants/the beach multiple times each day, and frequently took ride shares for less than 5-8 (tip) when needed. We rented a car from Enterprise, from a short walk away, for our first full day to drive around the east side of the island to the North Shore. I highly recommend renting a car for one day to drive around the island if you stay in Honolulu. Parking at the condo was easy- 45 for 24 hours (other rates for other time lengths). It was also easy to take the public transportation from the condo to Pearl Harbor. The bed was as clean as a hotel's and comfortable, but the other furniture had fabric stains. A/C worked well. We did not go to the condo's affiliated pool or use the laundry. Beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel and goggle equipment provided in the closet. The host was friendly and prompt in the few communications required.
