Budget-friendly air-conditioned one-bedroom vacation rental (533 sq.ft. plus lanai with table and 2 chairs)!
The Waikiki Banyan is a favorite of repeat visitors with its host of amenities including a pool, hot tubs, BBQ area, and more. All this and just a short 2-block walk to beautiful Waikiki Beach, plus shops, restaurants, the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, and Kapiolani Park! Public transportation is readily available, with stops located right outside the building on Kuhio Avenue.

*BUILDING NOTE: The entire recreation deck, including pool, hot tubs, and BBQ area, will be closed for renovations from April 7, 2025–May 17, 2026. Work hours will be restricted to 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday. Noise is expected. Work dates are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for the inconvenience and will make every effort to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Since another guest may check out the same day you arrive, to guarantee an early Check-In, reserve the condo for the night prior to arrival. For same-day reservations, Check-In Time is guaranteed for 5PM.
No Pets, No Parties, No Smoking/Vaping (including in the condo, on the balcony/lanai, or in any of the building's public spaces). Violations are subject to a $500 fine, plus actual costs for odor removal or if anything needs replacement due to tar, ashes, or burns.

There is also a washing machine, and I really like it. I would like to use it again next year, so there are some things I would like you to improve. It's hard to open and close windows the same way last year. The kitchen knife is a little rusty, and I am reluctant to use it. The drawer containing kitchen utensils is either old or missing. I'm sorry for the small details.I couldn't use the lights near the sofa because they were broken or turned off, and the room became dark at night I would like to use it again next year, so I hope it will be improved.Thank you, Byron, for being in charge for three years in a row. I will use it again next year!
The location of this property was great! Just a short walk to the beach and all the shops! Everyone had their own space and laundry in the unit was especially convenient!

Location two blocks from waikiki beach on the Honolulu Zoo side. The condo has everything you need and the AC was great in the heat! Balcony has an obstructed view to the mountains and a floor of the garage is right below. The property manager was very responsive to any issues and was quick to fix any issues. The free parking was really great!
Condo was perfect from location, size, cleanliness, amenities and very much affordable as listed. Property Manager was very communicative and helpful 24/7. The floor we stayed on was perfect for our 4 year old due to the pool and playground near by. We used Uber for groceries and travel pick up and drop offs with ease and never had a problem networking. Captain Cook Properties made our little family vacation amazing and well worth it!
Amazing stay. The entire process was easy from check in to check out. Byron was very helpful with everything and answered any questions we had. Wife and I loved this place and will make it the place I stay when I come back again! The unit was spotless, clean and very cozy. Very very comfortable. The parking process was easy as well. I honestly have absolutely no complaints and I highly recommend!!!

As described a budget friendly property, that could use a little TLC but was well maintained and very clean . Loved having that washer and dryer in the unit! And is the first vacation that I didn’t come home with a bad back. You can’t beat the location , close to the pool area, easy access to the beach, and walking distance to everything you may want. Clean, but many things show wear and tired, older fridge, kitchen counter tops need redone, popcorn ceiling, stained in little bath hallway, washer-you have to turn valve off to water bc it leaks water in machine and fills it. When you walk out on Lanai, yucky water from AC is right at door, view is city, plus directly over parking spaces. Overall it was everything we needed, space, walking to beach and events, paid parking, kitchen, safe, cute decorations, quick management response, easy check in/out.

The AC drips all over the lanai so there is constantly a puddle out there. We noticed some wet spots on the carpet when we arrived so assumed it was from people going out on the lanai and coming back in. The kitchen was semi adequately stocked with pots and pans but could be a lot better. Some basic pantry items would be nice as all the room had was salt and pepper. The washlet was interesting to use and I got used to having it so now want one at home! There were plenty of towels and the washer/dryer in the unit was very convenient. The dryer does vent into the room though and the washer is very small so you can only do small loads. Still, it was nice to have. We were overall very comfortable in this room. There really isn't a view, which was expected and seems to be reflected in the price. Your view is really of the top level of the parking garage but we didn't get this room for the view. We got it for the price and the amenities. It's a short walk to the beach. There were two beach chairs, some boogie boards, and a broken beach umbrella. We bought a Tommy Bahama beach umbrella from Costco and left it for future guests. I would recommend this property. Property management company, Captain Cook Resorts, was fantastic to deal with!
