We loved our stay at this rainforest stay. It has everything needed to be comfortable, and some extra supplies for outdoor adventures such as binoculars, flashlight, picnic blanket and beach towels. The hot tub is perfect after a long day of hikes, and having a full kitchen is convenient for cooking our own meals. Host was very considerate and communicative, we felt very taken care of! Highly recommend.

This place is very cute and well thought out! We had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The surroundings are beautiful and we especially loved the hot tub! There was a binder with places to eat nearby and it's vicinity to the national Park is unbeatable.

Stacey was a fantastic host! She was incredibly thoughtful and proactive, sending clear check-in instructions well in advance and even checking in with us after our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. The property itself was extremely comfortable and exceeded our expectations. A huge bonus was that the hot tub was already preheated to the perfect temperature when we arrived, allowing us to enjoy it immediately. It was the ideal way to relax! The location was also perfect for us. It's incredibly close to Volcano National Park (less than 3 miles away!), making it super easy to explore. We also loved having a small general store and a great brewery nearby, which was very convenient. We had a wonderful and comfortable stay thanks to Stacey's hospitality and the great location. Highly recommend!

What a delightful find! This accommodation was the perfect retreat in this busy tourist destination. Our host was prompt and clear in communication prior to and throughout our stay. The hot tub was fantastic - clean and inviting, the perfect way to finish the day walking through the national park. We loved the aesthetic of the place and the thoughtfulness of details, such as the coffee maker (with Kona coffee) and the easy to use gas heater for the cold Volcano mornings. Rainforest Retreat was value for money, and I would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at this property in Volcano! We found this spot, just outside the National Park, to be super convenient for visiting the park and surrounding sites, and really enjoyed checking out the small town of Volcano. Our host, Stacey, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed and provided helpful suggestions about what to do in the area. The house was super cute, clean, and well equipped. Hot tubbing in the backyard was a slice of heaven at the end of the day. Highly recommend staying here for a great experience and easy access to Volcanoes National Park, Hilo, and beyond!

What a wonderful place to stay for our trip to visit Volcano National Park and the island of Hawaii! The location was perfect and they thought of so many extra amenities that made the house so nice! The hot tub was perfect to recuperate from our long days of exploring. The bed was so comfy too! They had all the things you’d need to cook meals if you didn’t want to eat out. Although we had a wonderful meal at Lanikai Brewing Company just down the street. Great place to stay!! I’d give it more stars if I could!!

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights here. It was clean, organised and comfortable. Stacey was a great communicator and every accommodating. It's a 10 minute drive to the Volcano national park and the stand out of this place was the spa at night after a big hike and watching the stars. Amazing! Highly recommend

This is a true slice of paradise! The location is perfect for exploring Volcanoes National Park. We were so close that we were able to make it for Kīlauea’s eruption, episode 26, within minutes of being alerted. It was a once in a lifetime moment that we will always be grateful for. The hale is thoughtfully and beautifully equipped with everything and more than you can think of. Everything was spotless, including the hot tub, which was absolutely wonderful and added a lot of enjoyment to our stay. It was perfect for my little family of 4 and would love to stay here again if we get the opportunity to make it back!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this sweet hale outside Volcanoes National Park. It was perfectly located right outside the park so you can be an early bird getting there first before the crowds. The place was beautiful situated in the rainforest area outside the park so you got the experience all the beauty and nature the area has to provide. The hot tub was a wonderful touch especially after a long rainy day adventuring. The hosts were super quick to respond for anything we needed during our stay as well. We would happily stay here again in the future!

Cute, exceptionally well-stocked place with a cannot-be-beat location hot tub and other comfy amenities for those chilly Volcano Village nights. Want a beach day instead? They have those items for you as well. Highly recommend, except on those days that I will want to come back — because I most certainly will! Stacey, owner, was highly communicative.

Excellent host communication before and during our stay. The location was well stocked and we enjoyed in particular the mini electric fireplace and heated mattress pad - made for comforting times after visiting the Volcanoes National Park.

We had a lovely stay. It was just right for the two of us. We loved relaxing in the hot tub. The dehumidifier did a great job keeping out the humidity and was useful for drying things out. The heated toilet seat was a nice touch We

We got to the house on a Saturday evening, check in was easy and we had no issues. We went to the Cooper Center Farmers market on Sunday morning and loaded up in fruits and vegetables and actually ended up making most of our meals at the house instead of eating out because it was just so peaceful to be there. Very clean too!

For nature lovers, this is an ideal spot. The road to get to the property is narrow and totally enshrouded in jungle trees. The yard is beautiful. We spent every morning and evening on the private porch listening to birds and frogs. It is SILENT at night except for the frogs. Very dark. The house has motion lights though to light the porch. It was very fun coming in on our first night, driving through the trees in a misting rain. Such a great atmosphere. The house is adorable. It's a duplex but the porch is totally private. We didn't hear the other occupants or see them at all. There is a hot tub in the back yard but we didn't use it. The inside of the house is nice, clean, and well furnished. Decorated very cute. Im in love with the yellow front doors. The bathroom looked pretty new with a fancy toilet. Toiletries were provided. Everything clean and well maintained. The kitchen was cute and modern and stocked with pots and pans, coffee maker, etc. Has an automatic ice maker in the freezer for those wonderful post hiking tropical drinks. A little snack bar is available for a small donation if you forgot your hiking snacks. The bedroom was spacious enough for all our bags to be strewn about. The sheets and comforter were wonderfully soft. Bed is firm. In short, we loved staying here and wished we had stayed longer instead of the other hotel at the beach. The solitude and nature can't be beat and the town of volcano looked interesting. There's even a winery up the road! Volcano National Park is so close too. Easy to go back after dark if you happen to be there during an eruption and want to see the lava. I would totally stay here again.

We had an amazing week-plus here and loved our time! Volcano is away from the big crowds, so it was perfect to have a full kitchen for breakfasts and/or dinners when it was raining too hard for us to want to leave the cozy nest. The property is also lovely, with a hot tub and spots to sit and watch the rain or enjoy the sunshine, when we had it. Our host was so kind and responsive when we had major travel woes, and checked in with us during our time, but also gave us our space.

My family chose this property because of the proximity to Volcanoes National Park and we were beyond pleased our stay! The house is adorable and well decorated, very comfortable and plenty of space for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 tweens). It feels very secluded and the bird songs are relaxing. The host stayed in contact and responded quickly. The hot tub was wonderful! We had everything we needed and thoughtful items we appreciated.

This home is absolutely beautiful. The owner has put so much love and attention into every little detail, from the beautiful art, beautiful and comfortable bed, bright walls and tons of windows and fresh flowers everywhere. The location is perfect, just a short drive (less than 3 miles) to the National Volcano Park and Hilo is about 20 minutes if you want to explore. There is a small grocery store a couple of nice place to eat right outside your door. We especially loved evening walks along the long quiet road and then enjoying glass of wine while star gazing in the fabulous hot tub. The property is beautifully landscaped and lush with greenery. The weather is perfect and the added touch was the fireplace for snuggling up on the couch. Morning coffee on the front porch was so calming and peaceful just listening to the birds and the wind in the trees. Couldn't believe how quite and calm it was. Communication with Stacey was excellent, directions and instructions in guest book were excellent. We will rent this place again for sure. 10/10!!

Stacey's home could not have been more perfect. Upon opening the door I immediately felt peaceful and at ease and in awe of how beautiful it was. Her home is beautifully and tastefully decorated and the fresh flowers were so exquisite that I had to keep touching them to see if they actually were real. The home is light and airy, with tons of windows and feels much bigger than it’s actual size. The bed is to die for (honestly struggled to get out of it each morning it was so comfy). The kitchen is fully equipped and light and bright. The grounds are just beautiful. Lush green plants everywhere, immaculately cared for. Except for the banana trees and palms it almost feels like a sweet cabin in the mountains. With that said, the temperature is a bit cooler here but the electric wood stove was the absolute best. And the hot tub was perfect. With the temperature being cooler, it was a treat to be in the hot tub and marvel at the night sky and stars. This lovely home really is just right down the street from the Volcano National Park so it was especially nice to be able to go for long hikes and not worry about a long drive back to the house. Communication with Stacey was excellent. Directions are spot on. You will not regret your decision to stay in this lovely home!!
