Enjoyed a wonderful week stay in Kona with our two teenaged children. The hot tub, pool and exploring the tide pools provided easy entertainment for them. The home had everything we needed and plenty of space, if a bit dated. Although not guaranteed, there were beach chairs, a beach umbrella, sand toys and floaties at the home.We spent a day snorkling at Two Step Beach and another at Hapuna Beach. The sea kayak tour was also a fun hal-day activity. We were lucky to see the volcano begin to erupt on the last day of our stay. Unforgettable trip. You will not regret booking this property!
We had such a great time staying at this beautiful home. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and there was ample room for all of us to sleep comfortably. The private beaches and tide pools were an absolute win for the kids. They spent hours searching, wading and fishing out there finding all sorts of fun creatures. We went snorkeling in the lagoon and saw lots of beautiful fish and even sea turtles! When we were not at the beach we were swimming in the salt walter pool or relaxing in the hot tub. The sunsets were beautiful and the sounds of the ocean day and night was relaxing and amazing. The house was beautiful and very clean and well stocked for daily living, the neighborhood seemed safe and it was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants nearby. Would defintely recommend and hope to be able to go back and stay here again in the future.
Our stay was fabulous - we were there to celebrate an anniversary and my husband's 82nd birthday. It was amazing!
This VRBO was fantastic! The house itself was spacious, had a well-equiped kitchen and had the most amazing view. The location was unbeatable! This home is right on the tide pools, which offers great opportunities for exploration and fun. This home also provided easy walking access to Kailua-Kona. The sunset views were also great. We had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience with a next-door neighbor who hurled repeated expletives at my kids, my wife, and myself over the course of several hours. The resident neighbor became irate when we were walking back to the home from town and she passed by us on her motorcycle and felt we were walking on the wrong part of the private street. It's important to note that the VRBO host had no control over this situation, and the house itself was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood security and property management company were incredibly responsive, courteous, and understanding when we contacted them, and they increased patrols for the rest of our stay, which we greatly appreciated. We did not have further issues with the neighbor after that day and we believe security and the property management stepping in made the difference. Overall, we highly recommend this VRBO based on the wonderful property and its amazing location. However, we felt the responsibility for full disclosure to share the issue with the resident neighbor.

This is the first time staying at a home, and it was amazing. Its location was great, and the property management team was very responsive. I liked that its in a gated community and in Kona where we had access to all the stores. Will definitely stay here again if we ever visit the Big Island
This is everything you are looking for in a rental property on the shores of the big island. You will not be disappointed!
This home is in a great location and has an excellent view overlooking the Pacific, with direct access to a tide pool beach. However, the home is outdated. Internet coverage throughout the home and external areas is poor. There is no SMART TV, just cable on a very old TV. The dishwasher not secured to the cabinetry with door dropping down to the floor or your feet. The washer and dryer are aged, and have rust and mildew. Multiple leaks in the living room and kitchen windows with rain, with multiple window cranks missing or unusable. Missing and/or broken window coverings. No indoor dining room or kitchen table. Given the high cost of this rental, we did not expect to have to deal with all of these issues.
