The beach, resort pool, and hot tub are close enough that an unplanned swim can be the whole plan. Coconut Marketplace is an easy walk for coffee, gifts, and an uncomplicated meal. Later, head toward Wailua for river scenery or stay local for a coastal-path walk and a Kapaa dinner. It is a natural choice for a couple, a mother and child, or three friends who want a true oceanfront setting without giving up the useful parts of town.

Set on the top floor of the oceanfront Niihau Building, this 372-square-foot studio keeps the Pacific front and center. Two beds sleep up to three, while the private lanai gives you a front-row place for coffee and the sound of waves. The kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, and air conditioning helps the space stay comfortable.

The Neighborhood:
The Niihau Building's oceanfront position puts beach time right into the daily rhythm, while Coconut Marketplace is an easy walk for breakfast, local gifts, groceries, and casual food. Follow the Ke Ala Hele Makalae coastal path when you want a longer oceanfront walk or a bike ride. A short drive brings you to Wailua River for kayaking or to Kapaa town for bakeries and locally owned restaurants. This part of the Coconut Coast works especially well when the group wants a mix of beach, food, and a little exploring without a long drive.
Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.

Nice area close to everything beautiful views
Very happy with the accommodation's. Everything as advertised. Great place, great views and great location!
It would be nice to have bar height table and chairs for the lanai so the rail isn't always in your view. It would be nice to have other hooks and towel rods in the bathroom. Then vent/fan in the bathroom is really loud. Would be nice to turn the light on in the bathroom and not the fan.Need more outlets in the room. The extension cord outlets were very loose and hard to get to. The lanai door was very hard to open and the handle is loose. The view was beautiful from the lanai. Great location. We had to deal with smokers in 354 even though there are signs and you sign a contract saying no smoking on grounds. Front desk was of no help.
You can't beat this location! Open the lanai and there is the beach. The unit has everything you need for great time.

The apartment's prime location by the ocean and proximity to restaurants and stores are its standout features. However, cleanliness was an issue as I observed numerous hairs on the floor. The Vacasa team's prompt response and willingness to rectify the situation showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction. They truly excel in their service.
Top floor oceanfront unit highly recommended if you like watching whales! Everything you need within walking distance. Definitely the sunny side of the island, if the forecast says its going to rain all day, it never does.
