This 372-square-foot top-floor corner studio feels private and open to the ocean view. Air conditioning, a full bath, and the breezy private lanai make it a comfortable place to come back to after a pool or beach day.

The Neighborhood:
From this stretch of Kapaa, the Ke Ala Hele Makalae path is a great way to get an early walk or bike ride beside the coast without loading everyone into the car. Coconut Marketplace is close on foot for a coffee run, a casual meal, or a few forgotten groceries. Wailua River offers a different kind of morning, with kayaking and the road toward Opaekaa Falls. Kapaa town's small restaurants and shops are nearby by car. It is an East Side base that keeps the nearby day-to-day pleasures especially close.
Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.

I had an issue with not being able to get an extension cord for my CPAP machine (not enough outlets for bed). But I was able to get one from front desk.
The bed was not comfortable. It was very firm and hard. Other than that, the place was very nice. The grounds, pool area, and view from the lanai were beautiful.
The property was beautiful
Super enjoyable. Great view. Easy location. Clean.
Nice location with swimming pool and hot tub. Beach bar opens at 3pm for happy hour. We watched the sunrise from our balcony or on our walk every morning. Lots of people used the grills by the pool. Nearby restaurants were good, just a short walk to a few. Saw whales, and a monk seal beached near us one morning. Going to miss the sound of the waves waking up!
The unit is inside Islander on the Beach. It is a heavenly and quiet place with beautifully landscaped gardens and right next to the ocean. It is located next to Coconut Marketplace with several choices for restaurants and a convenience store. We watched sunrise from the lanai almost every morning. The attractions in north shores and west shores are all within 30-45 mins drive. Strongly recommended.
Decent. The property is a little dated but everything worked and the view is nice over the pool.

Great location, good room would stay here again if rates stay the same
We have stayed at the Islander several times but at another location in the same building. If you don’t need a full kitchen and want fairly inexpensive accommodations next to the beach then this is perfect. The view from the 3rd story lanai is great and the grounds are kept in great shape. The pool is very nice if you prefer less salt in your day. It was being power washed the last two days we were there but thankfully our unit had dualpane windows and doors to minimize the noise. We usually buy some snacks and make pbj sandwiches. There are plenty of places to eat at the nearby coconut market. And the Lava Lava Beach club is right on the beach with great food. This place is centrally located on Kauai so it’s easy to go north or south. We will come back.

Beautiful setting! This condo was perfect for me... literally only 165 steps away from the tranquil ocean. My host was very warm and welcoming when I emailed about receiving my confirmation. I look forward to returning.
This was the perfect location that put us half way been north and south shores. Great shopping and food within walking distance. Great little bar on site. Balcony had the perfect view of sunrises. Loved this place.
We loved this property and would definitely stay there again! The location is great. You can watch the sunrise from your balcony or walk 2 minutes and literally have your toes in the sand. We had a couple of issues to start with that were quickly resolved by the management company.
