Rental Details
Rental Overview
Summary:
Take your book and a cold drink to the lanai, where the Pacific, north end of Hanalei Bay, and Mount Makana seem to keep unfolding. This two-bedroom Pali Ke Kua condo sleeps four and is a front-row home base for a family or two couples who came to see Kauai's North Shore at its most dramatic. In winter, watch for humpback whales from the lanai; year-round, Hawaiian nene may wander the grounds. The well-equipped kitchen with granite counters and two updated baths make a longer stay easy, while WiFi keeps practical plans covered. When you want to move, the large community pool and hot tub are close, and the community path leads toward Hideaways Beach. Princeville Center is near for groceries and coffee, and Hanalei town is a beautiful drive down the hill. It is the kind of place where breakfast, a beach day, and sunset all begin with the view.
The Space:
Ocean and Hanalei Bay views set the tone in this tastefully furnished two-bedroom condo. The layout sleeps four and includes two updated bathrooms, plus a well-equipped kitchen with granite countertops for easy meals at home. The lanai is the natural gathering place for a slow breakfast, a reading break, or a winter whale watch. WiFi is available for the moments you need to reconnect.
Guest Access:
Guests at Pali Ke Kua in Princeville enjoy access to a shared communal pool and hot tub, with beach access nearby. The grounds include a disabled parking spot and garden or backyard space, plus family friendly extras like board games and children's dinnerware for an easy island stay.
The Neighborhood:
Pali Ke Kua sits on a bluff in Princeville, looking across Hanalei Bay toward Mount Makana, better known as Bali Hai. The community path leads toward Hideaways Beach, a small cove with a more tucked-away North Shore feel. Princeville Center is close for provisions, coffee, and casual meals. Hanalei town is down the hill for its beach and local shops. Return by sunset, when the bluff becomes one of the island's best seats for the last light.
Getting Around:
Lihue Airport is about 40 minutes away via a scenic drive along Kauai's coast. A rental car is highly recommended since the North Shore's beaches, restaurants, and Hanalei's shops are spread out. Princeville itself offers walkable access to some shops and dining, while beaches like Hanalei Bay are a short drive. Parking is typically available in lots or driveways at most properties.
Other Things to Note:
Please note: the path to Hideaways Beach is steep and can be slippery when it rains, please use caution. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.

The view is the reason to stay here for sure! Absolutely gorgeous! Well-equipped, clean, and comfortable unit. Some minor maintenance issues and dealing with a giant corporate property manager has pros and cons. There are beaches technically in walking distance, but plan to drive to the good ones—of which there are many! On-site pool, hot tub, and pizza restaurant are nice amenities.
Beautiful view and great accommodations.Be sure to check out hideaway beach just a little walk and some careful steps down but well worth it.
Stunning! We loved everything about our stay. The view was impeccable and location spot on. Highly recommend.
Our stay was very comfortable. The view of Hanalei Bay and the north shore was so beautiful and always interesting. We spent hours enjoying the wildlife, sights, sounds and smells from the lanai.
Beautiful sunsets and rainbows.
This property was incredible. You can’t beat the view. We watched people find spots for the sunset and you can just sit on your lanai. The property was very well kept as was the whole unit. We wanted low-key and this property was just that. The pool was perfect as well with enough sun and shade. We WILL be staying here when we come back next year. So many amazing memories created here
Tastefully decorated house full of books and games, well-equipped kitchen, nice showers, comfortable beds, inviting deck that makes it easy to spend time there. Good location in between Hanalei and points south like Kapa'a (don't miss the Ahi Lele fire show). For birders: I saw an albatross and a red-footed booby right off of the balcony, and a pair of crested cardinals come to visit. Notes: be careful on the interior steps because it's easy to miss the bottom step if you're not paying attention, and look for the kitchen/dining room light switch at the end of the countertop, over the side facing the deck. All photos were taken from within the property.
Nice condo, great views. Two negatives:- There is a TV but no cable or streaming accounts (thus no content to watch). If you already have your own streaming accounts you can add the Condo's TV as one of your devices, but if you don't you are out of luck. Normally not a problem (who watches TV on vacation); unless it rains solidly for your entire stay.-Community hot tub is over chlorinated and the water is murky. From a price point of view, there are better places to stay in Princeville for the money, although the view from the unit's lanai is pretty incredible.
Spectacular setting with beautiful views. Unit is lovely and well-equipped. We had a minor maintenance issue at arrival which was promptly resolved the next morning. Glorious hiking and beaches.
The views of the NaPali Coast from this property are specuactlar.
Pali Ke Kua Unit 224 should always be a 5 star rating. Well appointed unit ( furnishing, appliances, kitchen ware, linens, etc). Very clean. No bugs. Absolutely gorgeous direct ocean views including the Makana Mountains and Bali Hai). Very comfortable unit. I gave it a 4 star because when we checked in we discovered 4 annoying maintenance issues- bathroom sink didn’t drain, shower didn’t drain, lanai sliding door didn’t open and a bi-fold closet door track was broken. These were fixed before we left, but each of these were obviously a problem for a while. Despite the annoyances I would highly recommend this unit. And I would absolutely rent this unit again.
This unit is uniquely located for the perfect sunset. We had a sunset dinner at Welina at the One Hotel, and this spot has a better view! Spacious and well appointed, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Princeville (or on Kauai for that matter). There was one relatively big hiccup which was a nightly cockroach out in the main living room. Assuming that gets handled, and we did our best handling the nightly visitors ourselves during our stay, I’d say this place is a must-visit. I did appreciate the responsiveness once we got ahold of someone in the local office/team—a representative dropped off some bug control supplies for us to use. Aside from that episode, the ease of access to the Hideaway Beach, One Hotel, Princeville shopping market, and Hanalei made for an incredibly fun and enjoyable stay. We didn’t even get to play golf at Makai or walk the grounds which looked great as well given every turn you make, there’ll be an incredible view in front of you. Thanks for the stay!
We loved our views, the cleanliness and easy check in and out.
Perfect home with perfect view!
