The Neighborhood:
Kapa'a’s Coconut Coast is a practical place to see a lot of Kauai while staying close to the water. Kapa'a Town has casual food, shops, and a local feel, while the Wailua River opens the door to paddling and inland scenery. Lydgate Beach Park is a favorite for a more sheltered family beach day. The coastline here is made for sunrise walks, beachcombing, and watching for sea life, with the north and south sides of the island within reach for day trips.
Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.

The unit adjacent to this unit is currently undergoing extensive renovations. There may be intermittent construction noise during working hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The place was lovely to look at, with a great view of the water, and we had everything we needed. The one major problem--the place smelled like sewage more often then not and was very unpleasant. We didn't find out until day 5 that it's an ongoing issue--it blows from the nearby sewage treatment plant. Yucko.
We’ve stayed at this condo several times now. Always in superb condition. Great place!! My wife loves it!!
This is managed by a company not the host so if you need to talk to someone you text a robot. I’ll start with the positive, a good location to get around easily and you can walk across the street to a great bakery. And the beach is right around the corner so you don’t have to drive but it’s not the cleanest beach or the prettiest. The location to the unit we were in is awful as you hear the traffic noise over the ocean and locals park at the beach (which is steps away from the balcony) and blast music that is extremely loud. The bedroom is next to walking path for others to get to their rooms so you constantly hear noises throughout the night. The bed is like sleeping on a piece of plywood and the pillows are no better. The AC in the bed room is old extremely loud and doesn’t keep the small room cool. As you pull into the parking lot the smell of sewer is strong. For the price we paid it definitely needs upgrades. Don’t think we would stay again unfortunately.
The beach view was beautiful; however, it lacked easy access. Currently, construction is on the street. The worst part is that we had to leave during the day for several hours because of pest control. Late check-in, no access from 10 to 2. We paid for a full day, but we never received it.
Great view of Wailua Bay. Convenient location. Loved the pool. Close some really nice restaurants and Wailua Golf Course.

Nice place to begin the holiday. Nighttime road construction is going on. Close and easy access to the beach.
We booked last minute due to changes in our plans. We were very pleased with the condo. Very clean and spacious with a lovely view of the ocean. My husband liked the pool area and did some grilling while we were there. Some great books that helped us plan some hikes for our trip as well. Overall we really enjoyed our time here

Noise from the nearby road is ever present, on the lanai as well as inside. New bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen and living room as well as lanai furniture is old. Sofabed not comfortable. No ac in the living room. Great ocean view from the lanai.
We were literally steps from the beach., which had fairly gentle waves: excellent for swimming ! We also did laps in the condo pool. The place was quiet and comfy. Friends recommended it and we were not disappointed!
