Property Overview

Spectacular, awesome, and stunning are just some of the comments made by guests to describe the views from this totally private corner unit. D3 at Sealodge is located in the building closest to the corner edge of the bluff so you get both ocean and inlet views. With no buildings in site, it feels like you are on the edge of the bluff all by yourself. Enjoy panoramic views of whitewater waves, Kilauea lighthouse, Anini Beach and Humpback whales on their winter migration. Especially popular for honeymoons and anniversaries, this prime first floor end unit has 180 degree views from all windows (living, dining, lanai and bedroom). At night get lulled to sleep by the crashing waves below and in the morning enjoy spectacular sunrises and the Layton Albatross as they glide along the thermal winds from the bluff. The balmy trade winds and the smell of plumeria and blooming flowers is the beginning of beautiful memories in paradise.

The condo is situated so that you view wonderful sunrises from all the windows. This also means that the sun passes overhead by noon so you don't have any afternoon sun coming in and heating up any of the rooms. The lanai is also sheltered just enough so you get just a gentle breeze as you sit outside and take in the magic of the scenery around you.

Many upgrades were done in 2020. We put in all new windows. The one facing the lighthouse is a solid pane allowing an even better view. New blinds for those windows too. Just finished converting the bathtub into a walk-in shower. The bathroom vanity area and kitchen counters are all brand new We have all new living room furniture and lamps plus new chairs in the alcove. Just finished removing the popcorn ceiling and painting the whole condo. We replaced the carpet with luxury vinyl plank flooring. There are new light fixtures in the living room, alcove, kitchen and bathroom. The new patio furniture and ceiling fans (added a ceiling fan in the bedroom) are in plus new blinds in the bedroom. New bedroom furniture too. The kitchen cupboards were replaced a few years ago. We also have a full-sized washer and dryer. The 43 inch Samsung TV with HD cable in the living room provides an amazing picture plus the DVR allows you to record shows and movies to watch later. A king Serta Perfect Sleeper pillow top mattress provides a wonderful nights sleep plus there's a 27"' TV for watching tv in bed. We have Spectrum wireless high speed internet plus digital phone for free local and long distance calls. Kitchen also includes blender, mixer, electric juicer, mini food processor, pitcher, tea kettle plus spices, various sugars, coffee filters, various oils and salt & pepper. Also provided is paper towels, laundry soap, bar soap and shampoo. For indoor activities there are books, games, DVD, VCR, CD player and binoculars for Humpback whales passing by or turtles swimming near the reef. For outdoor activities, there are beach chairs, towels, mats, cooler, beach umbrella and various snorkeling gear. The outdoor swimming pool was just totally refurbished and reopened August of 2023. There are new lounge chairs too.

Enjoy the upscale resort area of Princeville with its Championship golf course, miles of foot paths, restaurants and shopping including a large Foodland. Sealodge has a prime location at the end of Kamehameha road with plenty of free parking. Eat at numerous nearby restaurants or fix a meal in the fully equipped kitchen in your condo. Sealodge promises pure relaxation and comfort.

Kauai's dramatic North Shore is an enchanting setting full of rugged mountains, heavenly beaches and spectacular sea cliffs. You'll be amazed at how much beauty can be found in just one area of Kauai. A number of spectacular beaches are nearby including Hideaways, Anini, Hanalei Bay, Ke'e, Secret Beach and Tunnels where the snorkeling is amazing.

For adventure take a helicopter ride from the Princeville airport and see where many movies have been shot including Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean. At Princeville Ranch take a horseback ride to beautiful waterfalls. Other North Shore activities include kayaking, ziplining, hiking and you can also learn about native plants and see scenic views at Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens or at the 17-acre Lumahuli Gardens, part of the National Tropical Botanical Garden.

Enjoy the many fine restaurants right in Princeville or venture into Hanalei to find many more exceptional places to dine. Simply unwinding and relaxing in this lush tropical paradise are the best qualities of Kauai. The guest book in the condo has many more suggestions of things to do, places to dine and activities that our guests enjoyed but every entry starts with "What a view"! Your dream vacation awaits with memories you'll treasure forever.

The views were amazing. The condo had everything we needed. We loved being on the north end of the island. There are huge, lush mountains everywhere. Being there in August, we did miss A/C sometimes, especially the night we got there. Just know that it may take a while to get it cooled off it it's been shut up all day. Don't forget to buy laundry detergent, along with your groceries. We did stop at the grocery store, but forgot that. We were able to use the fins, which was great since we brought our mask and snorkle only. The hike down to the secret beach was narrow and great for a fit person. It's a small path that I wouldn't recommend for elderly people. As far as the beach, we skipped it, as we thought other beaches were much better, as we need shade. TV worked great, bed was comfortable. We would stay again. If you want to snorkle at Tunnels Beach, you'll need to get to Ha'aene Beach around 8 or 9am probably for parking or maybe around 4pm, though the water will be rougher in the afternoon probably.

Exterior of buildings is in poor condition. Inside was much better, though it needed some maintenance and deeper more detailed cleaning. Choose it for the view which was terrific. Exactly like the picture.

What an amazing place! It's even better than is shown in the photos. It's such an incredibly peaceful and relaxing setting. Saw gorgeous sunrises and/or sunsets from the rooms plus the terrace and out on the bluff. From the condo you can see all the way to the Kilauea Lighthouse and Wildlife Refuge, which is a wonderful place to visit. When we hiked down to the incredibly lovely Sea Lodge Beach, we felt like we'd arrived in paradise So peaceful, not crowded, and some of the best snorkeling we found on the island. The hike was also much easier than I had expected, as a woman in my 70's in moderate shape. You're also very close to Anini Beach and the shuttle to Ke'e and the other north shore beaches. Very short drive to Princeville Center (great ice cream at Lappert's) and Hanalei, which has a long, beautiful beach, a very fun farmer's market with delightful handcrafted items as well as fresh local produce, and another great ice cream shop, Pink's. The condo was well-equipped, and we really appreciated all of the well thought out amenities. The communication with Janet was great both during pre-planning and during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our time here, and I would plan any future trip around the availability of this specific condo!

What a wonderful week we spent in this condo! The view is fantastic! I got up for every sunrise in the morning. Many afternoons we preferred Happy Hour at the condo rather than going out. Beside the hard-to-beat view, the condo is quiet and well-equipped. The beach supplies were especially appreciated (chairs, umbrella, towels, snorkeling gear.) We hiked down the hill to the secluded SeaLodge beach several times; one time sharing the ocean with three green turtles!

There is no way to accurately describe this property. The private beach is awesome. Get ready to see a turtle or two. There's a little bit of a walk but if you're in decent shape you'll be fine and the walk itself is beautiful. Great snorkeling since it is protected from the surf. Communication from the hosts? 100% spot on. Exemplary. You think the views in the pics are amazing? Think again. The actual views are are stunning. The ocean breeze, the views, I just can't describe it in words, I really can't. The wildlife comes right up to the lanai. Nene. Chickens, azure tailed skinks (little lizzards, totally harmless) and you will see albatross. DO NOT FEED THEM! It is not ok. It is not natural. Do not feed them. Enjoy them then let them go about their God blessed lives. Do NOT feed them. It is a law to not feed them and for good reason. There. That's my part. Now all of that said, i can't imagine you're going to be able to find a better place to stay. Don't wait on this one. Reserve it immediately and get ready for a punch when you actually draw the shades back and see the view with your own eyes. You will be blown away. By the way, we named the rooster that kept coming back Frank. Say Aloha Frank! Then melt into the chairs and realize that you picked the ultimate destination for your vacation. You're welcome and God bless your travels.

This served as a great home base for our two night trip to the north shore and for our Na Pali coast hike to the falls. The unit was spotless and as advertised. The views were incredible and we loved drinking coffee and watching the sun come up in the morning. We really appreciated the coffee maker and the in-unit laundry for our dirty hiking clothes. We did not use the pool or hike to the beach, so can't speak to that. She does supply beach chairs and towels, which we did use on our first day there and appreciated. Linda sent over a ton of very helpful information when we booked it as well. As an FYI, dishwasher is currently broken and they are looking to replace it once one is available (we never needed it). We would 100% stay here again and hope to do so!

Very comfortable apartment, it has everything you need including binoculars. Close to beautiful beaches, nice restaurants and supermarket. Tips for the area can be enhanced, for example that you need reservations in advance to the close by national botanical garden.

The description of the view does not exaggerate. It is truly a million dollar view. The space is clean, well maintained and very welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet with shopping close by. This has been the most relaxing vacation to date. Thank you so much for sharing your paradise.

I’ve been to Kauai probably close to 20 times over the past 15 years. I have stayed in hotels and condos. This place, however, far exceeds them all. I never want to stay anywhere else when visiting Kauai. The view is absolutely stunning and we couldn’t get enough of it. In fact over half of my pictures were of the view from the windows while sitting in the chair enjoying my coffee. The condo was well supplied for cooking meals. The bed was comfortable and the breeze you get from opening the windows felt amazing. Also being able to use the beach chairs were an added bonus. We absolutely loved our stay here and are already looking at dates to book again. Communication with Linda was great. Any questions that I had were answered quickly. Thank you for an incredible stay!!

The views from this property were amazing and communication with the owner was great. We very much enjoyed having coffee on the little patio in the morning. The location was excellent for exploring the north side of the island. The unit itself felt a little worn and lacked many amenities we found at other places around the island - decent pots and pans, mixing bowls, tupperware, tinfoil, etc., which made it difficult to cook. It is relatively small space - there is a folding room divider separating the kitchen table from the bed and no door on the outer part of the bathroom where the sink is. The washer and dryer are in the kitchen. It felt kind of jumbled, like there wasn't enough space for everything. Overall, we had a nice time here but it wasn't one of my favorites.

The night skies in Hawaii have always been a treat for me as there is just way too much light pollution at home to see anything of note, but even more so this year as this unit provides a clear and unobstructed view of the north and northeast night sky from the lanei with no local lighting to spoil it. Indeed, the week of my stay, Pleiades, the entire Orion's constellation (including the the Orion Nebula!) and Taurus were visible with the naked eye. In fact, the skies were so dark that I was able to take legible pictures of it all with my cell phone which is completely unheard of. Jupiter and Mars were also present the entire week and being able to stare at it all for as long as I wanted two steps from the door wall was a gift from the Universe that I will never forget. As far as the area, there are restaurants and shops aplenty in the immediate Princeville vicinity, and even more in nearby Hanalei. Kapa'a is only 30 minutes away and is loaded with shops and restaurants and I made that drive multiple times during my time there without issue. There is also a path along the waterfront there and you can rent a bike or walk it until your heart is content...or your feet hurt, whichever comes first. lol All in all, Kauai did not disappoint and this condo with its amazing views of the ocean and Earth's wonderful nighttime sky was the star of the show. Book it now, thank me later.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the condo. You really can’t beat the views. The condo has a nice breeze when the windows are open. Everything we needed for our stay was provided (beach supplies, kitchen supplies, etc) Nice location, near beaches and restaurants and stores. Linda the owner was responsive and checked in to see how we were doing. Recommend staying here:)

Hard to put into words just how perfect everything was, but suffice to say that, even through an island-wide power outage, D3 was the place to be. Island Heat Wave? Never noticed it with the breeze. Nenes at the door every morning? They felt like family. And the lushest, most vibrant bluff imaginable. Seriously...we were so happy to begin and end our days in a modest room that doesn't have to brag...the views are just that good.

My wife and I stayed here while on Kaua’i for our anniversary this year. We have been to the islands several times, and this place is by far the best on the island. It’s clean, comfortable, and the views! WOW, the views. Best sunrise in all of Hawai’i. Hands down. Not to mention that Linda is incredibly responsive and makes sure that everything is covered. We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Kaua’i.

Our stay here was lovely. We lucked into mainly good weather so coukd enjoy activities such as kayaking at Hanalei and snorkelling at tunnels. The condo was well equipped and we made two great fish dinners at home. Sunrise one an and a magnificent sunset on one evening from the other side of cliff were highlights. Highly recommend.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with 10 nights in Princeville. Our last time on the island was 9 years ago, and I expected to spend more time walking the beach at Hanalei Bay and along the trails by the golf course. But we ended up staying "home" alot more to enjoy that view across Anini Bay over to the Kilauea Lighthouse. And even though it was the very end of the humpback whale season, we did see them breaching on two occasions! The NaPali Coast tour out of Hanalei Bay with NaPali Catamaran was a highlight of the trip. Snorkeling at Tunnels on the way back reminded me of Hanauma Bay on Oahu 24 years ago -- before overuse impacted the coral there. We didn't venture down to Sea Lodge Beach as the trail was VERY muddy. One evening we watched a rescue helicopter airlift a gentleman from the beach who had fallen 15 feet and broke his leg, so be careful! We loved the little alcove with windows on both sides to sit and enjoy the view when it was too windy or wet to sit outside. Linda was great and very prompt in responding to messages. We WILL be back, maybe to celebrate 45 years -- or sooner if possible!

We loved our stay here, just couldn’t get over the huge window views directly out to the ocean…watching the high tides and low tides was so relaxing. Despite some bouts of rain (expected at North Shore in late April) and a couple of small inconveniences (next door condo being renovated, water turned off for plumbing issues for a few hours), we had a great stay. Linda is super to work with and always got back to us right away!

Great view, the condo could use a deep cleaning and some kitchen utensil upgrades but overall I enjoyed our stay here. The location is great, did not need AC with the nice ocean breeze. Pool is nice. These are old buildings and as such there is always a few condos having work done on them but it did not bother us to much even though the condo next to us was getting major remodel. I would stay here again, so the small complaints we might have are just that small.

We absolutely loved our time at this well equipped condo with amazing views! The view from the condo was gorgeous and especially for sunrise. We enjoyed having everything we needed with our own groceries to make coffee and breakfast. The bed was comfy, everything worked perfectly. There is a hike down to the beach for able bodied people. We are already looking for a time we can go back.

On top of the bluff (world) is accurate You’re paying for the views. Small bungalow that needs TLC/updating... as well as new bed & furniture. I wouldn’t recommend for more than 2 people and only a few nights at most. Pool was closed for repair, patio is a small 6x6 pad off screen door, bbqs old park style & require charcoal. Since this is ground level, folks walk right by and look in often.
