We arrived late and were able to get right in the room. The next day we checked out the property and found a great Koi pond with crayfish set back in a quiet area. It would have been great for a shaded quiet spot, but we weren’t there for quiet. Then we found the barbecues, just as advertised, next to the pool. They were in a serious state of disrepair and unusable by our standards. Communicating this to the manager was easy, though after telling them what was wrong we received no reply, ignored. The room was great, clean and very well supplied. The location was wonderful, across the street from a little beach, with a great view from the large lanai. Twice we were unable to use the pool due to them cleaning it during open hours. We have since been in contact with the property management and have been told that three new barbecues were on the way and they will now be cleaning the pool during off hours. All in all we had a nice stay with just these two hiccups.
Our family enjoyed a fantastic week in Kona and this beach side perch was a highlight.
