Twenty-foot ceilings, hardwood and travertine floors, a large-screen TV, and a breakfast bar create a home that can handle both a big breakfast and a rainy-afternoon movie. Outside, the private hot tub is ready after a beach day, and the neighborhood keeps you close to Princeville's groceries, dining, and golf. Hanalei is down the hill for beach walks, food trucks, and a different pace. It is a warm, well-made option for two families or an extended group that wants Anini Beach close and real gathering space at home. Air conditioning is provided.
The Space:
Built as a personal residence, this four-bedroom, four-bath home sleeps 10 and opens through double doors to a pineapple wood inlay at the entry. The great room's 20-foot ceilings, large-screen TV, and breakfast bar create a natural place to gather. Tuscan travertine and hardwood floors run through the home, while the spacious lanai and private hot tub take the conversation outdoors. Air conditioning is provided.

The Neighborhood:
Princeville gives North Shore families a quiet, green base above Hanalei Bay, with groceries, dining, golf, and scenic overlooks nearby. Anini Beach is the close beach choice, known for its reef-protected water and long shoreline. Drive down to Hanalei for beach time, local restaurants, and the view across the bay toward Bali Hai. Princeville Center makes it easier to cover the everyday basics without a long errand. It is a good fit for groups that want Kauai's dramatic north shore but also want a home base that works for meals, kids, and an unhurried daily rhythm.
Getting Around:
Lihue Airport is about 40 minutes away via a scenic drive along Kauai's coast. A rental car is highly recommended since the North Shore's beaches, restaurants, and Hanalei's shops are spread out. Princeville itself offers walkable access to some shops and dining, while beaches like Hanalei Bay are a short drive. Parking is typically available in lots or driveways at most properties.

Was a great stay very comfortable…only critical observation was toomany essential items were inaccessible due to being locked up…this would include plates and glasses etc …a basic broom and dust bin for daily cleaning
We had a wonderful time at this house! Great location, well-stocked, clean, and very accommodating. We had some electrical issues which were partially addressed. Hopefully they can get those sorted out before the next visitors. But even with those, I would have no issue staying here again. Quiet neighborhood (minus the chickens ), well-kept, beautiful home. We made great use of the beach chairs, beach wagons, coolers, bikes, and umbrellas. They had everything we needed and more!
The perfect home for our Christmas Vacation. The location is perfect, walking distance to the local grocery store, eateries, souvenir shops. We would definitely return to this rental.
Immaculate home. It was extremely warm when we checked in but we managed the air flow system since there was no Central AC. The additional fans helped
Great Place does not book often, as multiple bathrooms have plumbing issues. There were enough bathrooms that we had workarounds, but still. The hot tub cover also looked like it had seen better days, and the yard could have used maintenance, as it seemed like no one had picked up palm fronds that month. Great place, just needed a little tlc
walking distance to foodland- sweet location
This is our second time staying at the Blue Hawaii house. The location is wonderful and the house is lovely. We walked all around the Princeville area from this perfect location.
Overall: the house's location is great, the home is spacious and modern, and is mostly as pictured, with the exception of three things: 1) It could use a deep clean – the house was dusty, windows were dirty, bugs were stuck in all the screens. 2) The "lanai" was unusable – it was dark (literally because the lights don't work) and inhospitable (the furniture is sparse and old). Even in beautiful Kauai, we never used the Lanai once. 3) I recognize this is a problem throughout Hawaii, but the large family of roosters on the left-hand side of the house were a nightmare. Especially in the downstairs master bedroom, there were about 5 roosters just feet away from the windows that started crowing at 2AM and continued every 5-10 minutes until about 7AM. The entire house slept terribly, and slept with headphones.
The house was large and beautiful. They provided everything you need to enjoy your at the beach: chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers, sand toys etc.
Beautiful and large home! Welcoming touches of candy, granola and coffee were so nice! We were late arriving so didn't have any groceries to start out with so it was fun to have a bit of Hawaii there. I felt like the price for the home is a fair price if it were a beachfront home. I booked it thinking it would be easy to access a beach and it was not. That is my fault. The lights were hard to figure out. Maybe they could be labeled. Overall a wonderful home with all you need for a great stay but overpriced in my opinion.
