Stream a movie in the living room, use the communal grilling areas for dinner, or head toward Coconut Marketplace and Kapaa for food and local browsing. Wailua River adventures and the East Side coastal path are also close. This is a good fit for a couple or a small family who wants an updated place to come home to after exploring Kauai's lush, breezy East Side.
The Space:
Classic plantation-style design meets a freshly remodeled interior with tropical decor and plush furnishings. The open layout includes a full kitchen with major appliances and cookware for meals at home, plus a smart TV in the living room for streaming. Step through to the private furnished lanai for sunset light and tropical surroundings. One bedroom, two beds, and one bath sleep three, with air conditioning for comfort.

The Neighborhood:
Plantation Hale is on Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, just outside Kapaa and close to the beach, Coconut Marketplace, and the coastal path. The path is a favorite for a morning walk or bike ride beside the water, while nearby Wailua River offers kayaking and canoe outings through the island's lush East Side. Kapaa's historic main street has local restaurants, coffee, shops, and farmers markets, and the location sits conveniently between the North Shore and Poipu. It is an easygoing base for guests who want Kauai's green side, local town life, and beach access close together.
Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.

Very good condos to stay at. Close to the ocean and Kapa'a for amenities. Priced reasonably and clean! Hot tub and BBQ were a nice addition!
Wonderful place to stay in Kapaa. The condo had everything we needed, close to our favorite Coconut marketplace, and the furnishings were excellent. The bed is so comfortable. The only thing I recommend is bring extra toilet paper. You’re given starter rolls, and they were various sizes (not full rolls). I had brought extra so all was well. But overall we highly recommend this condo.
The location was great. We had a rental car, but even without one, the accessibility of shops was so convenient. Loved that the unit was updated and clean. We didn't use any of the property amenities and were gone 95% of the time, only there to sleep, but it was so nice having the AC unit after being out all day. The full-size fridge/freezer was helpful as well to keep ice and waters. Overall, it was a quiet unit and would recommend!
We had a lovely stay at Plantation Hale. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with plates, mugs, glasses and cookware, the heat pump worked well and there were plenty of towels. We also appreciated the beach chairs left for our use.The location was also great, close to Coconut Marketplace and its stores and restaurants.We could have used more toilet paper for our 2 week stay and the instructions for using the living room TV remote were for a different remote than what was in the living room.Other than minor details, it was perfect.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Although it is an older property, this unit has been nicely updated. It suited us just fine, and is best suited for just 2 people. We did not use the kitchen for cooking, but it was well stocked, if someone wanted to cook. FYI, there is no dishwasher. We had no problem hand washing our glasses and dishes. We were impressed at how well stocked the unit was. Plenty of trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo, body wash and soap at sinks. There were plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, ice chest, pretty much anything you needed other than food, was provided. We appreciated the drying rack to dry swimsuits and towels on, and the small safe in the master closet. The location is perfect for wherever you plan to go on the island, whether north to Hanalei or south to Poipu, plus we could walk to Coconut Marketplace to shop or get some shave ice! There is a small pool very close to the unit, that you can barely see thru the vegetation, when on the balcony. We did not use the beach that was across the street because we chose to go to better beaches on the island. The a/c in the living room and bedroom kept the whole condo very cool. The bed was very comfy too! If you are looking for a resort type accommodation, with lots of amenities at the property, this would not meet that criteria. If you are like us and basically need a clean condo to return to after exploring the island this place is perfect!
Comfortable, clean, with all you need when on vacation, safe and excellent location. Restaurants, supermarkets, food trucks, Farmacy, all at a very short distance. I will stay there as many times I will visit Kauai, I highly recommend the service and the unit.
This place need immediate renovation. Everything is old except the to pieces of furniture (king bed and sofa) Very bad smell. We only stayed there because we didn’t find any other place to stay….
Nice stay, clean apartment, convenient to get to the main spots we wanted to check out in the island. Our kids enjoyed the pool.

Good place to stay when you are staying in the east Kauai.
This condo was exactly as pictured. It was clean and had nice amenities waiting for us. The kitchen was well stocked and there were beach blankets, wave boards, coolers etc. ready for use. The unit is a bit dated but well maintained. We loved the central location on the island. Shopping, restaurants were close by. Would definitely stay here again.
