August Sale! - Reconnect at an Updated Home with Private Hot Tub & Free WiFi

Went without internet for the first three days. Ants, giant cockroach, broken windows, door that wouldn’t open and filthy showers. It’s a quiet neighborhood and northern Kauai is one of the most beautiful places on earth. If you want a crash pad this might work for you. If you value cleanliness, quality and customer service I wouldn’t book this home. It wouldn’t take a lot of work to make this home nice but it’s clear it’s not well managed and no one cares to keep it up. I gave them a lot of opportunity to make things better and was ignored. It’s hard to mess up paradise but they found a way to do it. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written.

Great place to stay, house was well maintained and we appreciate it was equipped with all beach essentials.

1) The primary problem we had was the wifi. It was unusable. The network (TIKI_HALE) was almost always disconnected or connected without internet. Spectrum technician was called in, tried to fix, but it was unsuccessful. A second request for help wasn't answered. We are writers and use computers/wifi extensively. Had to use our own phone hotspots for entire stay -- at additional personal expense. Had to use hotspot to watch TV too.2) Master bathtub is unsafe. We added a mat and removable grab bar.3) Patio table is badly corroded. Needs to be replaced.4) Front door lock is finicky. We were unable to open house with it -- had to call support to access a lockbox key.5) Interior lighting is dim and one bulb was out.6) Found one bedbug in master bed.7) Had a problem with flies. Purchased fly traps to get under control.8) Kitchen screens fell out in wind. Had to put back in place.9) One faucet in hallway bathroom is faulty.10) Eaves troughs leak and water doesn't reach downspouts.

Spacious & well stockedThe photos don’t capture the spaciousness of this home. The living room is big, as is the dining area & kitchen. It’s well stocked in the kitchen for cooking, including utensils, pots & pans, pantry items & dishes. Also there are plenty of beach items to utilize. The outdoor shower was a welcome stop when coming home covered in salt & sand. The home was hot upon arrival, but we got the ac & fans going, and it cooled off. The backyard has a grill and table & chairs in a lush garden setting. Beds were comfortable on the firm side, which we prefer, with plenty of linens & towels. The swinging chair in front was the coveted spot to relax. Great location in princeville with quiet neighborhood. Communication was clear, consistent & easy. We’d return!

This house was perfect for our group of two couples and 3 young adults. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for the week. Make sure you use the outdoor shower.

Nice neighborhood and close to beaches

The house was great just as described. There was a lot of space for our group of 4 adults and one kid. Hot tub worked perfectly and they provided coolers, beach chairs and beach umbrella. Great space in the living room and kitchen area but I could see how it could get hot with no AC in the summer. the two

If you're seeking a quiet environment where you can enjoy the birds and wildlife in the backyard, I would highly recommend this home. Neighbors are quiet & home is well stocked with Beach towels, dishes & cutlery for the grill - which works well... A/C works well in all bedrooms. Plenty of play area outside in the yard for the little ones.... If you're looking for something more intimate that's not in a Condo/Timeshare Association - this home is for you....

This is a very nice large house. Very well supplied with towels -- bath, beach, and even towels for dirty shoes. Beautiful orchids and nice decoration, open and large. The living room area has a nice high-beamed ceiling and there are lots of fans. The AC in the bedrooms worked well and the 2.5 baths was a plus. We didn't use the hot tub but the maintenance guy came by so we saw it was cleaned weekly. All in all really great place!

This is a wonderful home for a group of six people. We recently stayed at Tiki Hale (two couples and two teenagers) for vacation. We chose it for the location. It's near Foodland, shops and eateries. It's a quick drive down to Hanalei Beach, more shops and restaurants (less than 10 minutes if traffic's not backed up). The home is surrounded by beautiful, tropical foliage. It's spacious enough for everyone to spread out. It's in a quiet neighborhood, near the golf course. It's easy to walk or jog around the area. The staff did a good job cleaning it before our arrival. We were pleasantly surprised with the treats to welcome us. We were able to get immediate responses to address minor concerns. We greatly appreciated that. I would recommend this location for people visiting Kauai for the first time and wanting to stay in a house rather than a hotel or condo. It's private, homey and in an ideal location.
