Bayview, Poipu, Koloa Hawaii "Torview" Air conditioned

Room was short walk from Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach. Room was small and comfortable with everything we needed, since in Kauai you aren’t spending much time inside.

The room itself was just fine and pretty much exactly what we needed for the 5 days we were on island. A place to crash and shower was basically all we were looking for. While the room was well kept and clean, it was a bit deceiving and slightly hard to find when we found out it was simply somebodies house and essentially just a spare bedroom that had been made into a rental unit and given a name like it was a condo unit or something. I will say, it was clean and had the basic amenities that we required for our stay. I very much appreciated the up to date, large shower and the small, but workable bathroom, was put together nicely. My buddy and I had no issues and it was what we expected for the most part. If you are looking for a bit of luxury and space, this is not the rental for you however. If you are looking to stash your belongings and spend your time at the beach or sightseeing then I would absolutely recommend.

This was an excellent value for the money. It was small but clean and was just minutes from the beach. An added bonus was tge greenway walkingctrails through the property. It also had beach chairs, towels and even a boogie board for us to use. We had a wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed for two nights when we wanted to head south to hike the canyons. Torview is in a perfect location, with a two minute drive to Poipu Beach - literally. We appreciated the beach chairs and boogie board they provided. The place itself is small, but well appointed. The beds are very comfortable. It is the perfect landing place when you are planning on spending your days outside.The hosts are communicative, but faster by phone/text then by the app (which they indicated in their instructions, but we were operating on autopilot). We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed 4 nights in Torview and it was great. A cozy little spot in a neat location. The bed mattress was extremely comfortable and I was able to get the rest I needed to explore the Island. The shower was another excellent experience, as the water pressure was strong, and the shower head was amazing. It had everything a traveller needs tucked into the unit. I really enjoyed the beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie board provided. It made trips to the beach hassle free. The pathway and access to Shipwreck Beach was beautiful. The only down side was it smelled like bug spray the first night I arrived. Yet, when I aired it out, it was fine (plus, there were no bugs!). Thanks for the great place to stay. I hope I can stay here again in the future. LM

The unit was located in my favorite beach in Hawaii. Just a short walk to Shiowreck beach. Amazing surf and body surfing. Close to town and hiking. The unit was clean well prepared and the AC and WiFi were awesome. I was a little nervous when I first arrived to find the unit was part of a house, but Inhad a private entrance and the door to the larger house was locked from my side. Although the residents in the house were home ( the front dot was open) I severed heard a sound. Amazing deal for the price, location, amenities, communication , etc. I would definitely stay there again.

Time here was wonderful. Perfect spot to stay. I had the best time.

The property was very convenient for us. It is a small space but very well thought out We had kids and grandkids at the Hilton next door so all we really needed was a place to sleep

Good stay overall. We were just there one night but all was private and comfortable. Fabulous neighborhood with walking paths to the beach. Can't beat the locale.

We were pleasantly surprised the accommodation had been freshly updated since the original post we saw when we made our booking a few months ago. The space was super comfortable and cozy. We especially appreciated the nice beach chairs, towels and boogie board (put to great use at nearby Brennecke Beach)!

A little older and well used but great location.

You’re getting a very small room in a house separated by a locked door. You access the room through a sliding glass door on the side of the house. The door faces a privacy fence just a few feet away. It has a very small plywood patio with folding chairs. In the room all the appliances are stacked in a corner with the tv above them. It has twin beds. A very small bathroom. There is no closet or place for suitcases or clothes

This was a great stay with responsive hosts in Poipu. Highly accessible to all you need in the area, and the Vrbo itself is perfect for a comfortable place to wind down and sleep. Highly recommend!

If what you need is a place to rest your head and take a shower, this is it. The location to Shipwreck Beach and the Grand Hyatt couldn't be better. It was clean, the beds were comfortable (2 twins), and the water pressure outstanding. There is a mini fridge, a microwave, and a small toaster oven so it is possible to have some convenience foods on hand but any kind of cooking involving food preparation isn't possible. We would stay again even though space was tight and we couldn't sleep together.

I'm fine with small places..this is much smaller than a hotel room. Many things need to be replaced because rusted. Ceiling fan desperately needs to be cleaned. Sheets should be tossed..saw one hole and stain. This room needs some love. David was nice.

It was great stay with David,great location, short walk to the beach to see the Sea Turtles,we counted26 turtles one night. David is very personable,friendly and accommodating, great host.

Can't beat the location of David's home. Access to multiple beautiful beaches and right in the heart of Poipu. Would stay again but best for 1 or 2 people tops.

The stay was amazing. David was very knowledgeable and gave good advice on where to eat and go.

This property was perfect for our stay on the south side of Kauai! David was very communicative before we arrived and even helped get us some items we left (we really appreciated it). The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed! There was even a walking trail right behind the house! We’d absolutely come back next time we’re in Kauai! Thanks, David!

enjoyable experience

Very quiet and close to everything. Has all you need in one room. Stayed 3 nights. Had a private entrance and very safe neighborhood.

The room is small, but accurately represented on the listing. The location is superb & the host was remarkably friendly. Will definitely be staying here again next time I visit Kaua'i.

Accommodation conditions were absolutely unsatisfactory, impossible for two people. No storage space for clothes, just a couple of hangers on the door.Ants were crawling everywhere. Separate bathroom and toilet unsatisfactory separated only by sliding doors very unhygienic. Cleaning very poor dust everywhere.

Our arrival was delayed by Hawaiian Airlines, but David made accommodations that worked well for us. The apartment was clean and ready. Easy to find, it provided a great start to our week in Kauai.

Husband & I stayed here for 4 nights! Beautiful beaches & good food within walking distance! Perfect location for getting around quickly! The room was small (we knew that) but good for the 2 of us! We spent most of our time out & mainly used the room to sleep. There were ants in the room but there were ant traps & we made sure to put our food away/seal it, so no problems with that! The TV has every channel/streaming service known to man. Overall, it was a great stay for what we had planned & would stay again! David our host was excellent at communication, I appreciate that! Mahalo! :)

Fantastic experience

Great place to stay and close to everything! We enjoyed taking the walking paths to the beaches and restaurants. David was very helpful and enjoyable to chat with. Will stay again when visiting Kauai.

TV was to complicated to get Bowl Games. And we had micro ants that bit me and crawled on me. Owner needs to put ant insecticide down around the outside of the foundation of the house. He can get it at local hardware and put it heavily in the troubled areas.

The room was clean and decorated with taste, same went for washroom. It is best suited for couples that don't mind the minimalistic vacationing approach. It doesn't have a full kitchen but this is evident from the beginning. There is a medium sized fridge, a microwave, a drip coffee maker and a tray toaster. My wife and I were ok with the small size as we went out and about and only needed a place to sleep. We ate out most of the time. The host is fantastic, he was very responsive with communication and helpful with every request we had. His sense of humor only added to an already great experience. I would not hesitate to go back or recommend this place to my friends.

It is a bedroom, not a property. Do not expect any space or privacy.

Please be aware that this is not an 'entire home' yes you have a private entrance to the room (a glass slider on the side of the house), however it is just a small room with the two beds a very small bathroom in a house where the door to the main house is locked as this is where the host lives (sound travels). Since there is no A/C host suggested leaving glass sliding door open for air flow which didn't feel safe for 2 young women staying alone. Amenities DO NOT include oven as listed and there is no living space and should be more categorized as a small studio. Space was very run down and shabby. David was very quick with communication but not helpful with concerns about the booking. If you just need a place to sleep for a night this is probably fine but would not recommend if you plan to spend any time here.

Host was extremely nice and helpful. The property was walking distance from the beach which was nice. Overall it felt extremely clean and safe.

Good location and host. A little on the small side, not much space, can hear through the walls. Carpet in need of attention or elimination. Elimination would be better, an easy to clean luxury vinyl plank would be a good option. Carpets are the pits, whether in a hotel or other accommodation they just retain dirt and are unsightly. Would we stay here again? Probably not just due to cost for what it is and the fact that we were only there to sleep. I would probably opt for the cheapest room to just lay my head down at night instead. Out and about all the time, so the accommodations were really not as important to us. If you plan to spend more time at the place and stay around the area then this would be a good option for you. Definitely a good location though, easy access to a couple of beaches, decent dining in the area. Good access to the west side of the island and Waimea Canyon Rd. It rained pretty much the entire time we were there so we made the best of it. A few upgrades would make this a much nicer place. One last note if the owner is seeing this review. The lighting at street entrance should be better placed or offset. It is blinding when you are trying to back out of the drive in the dark. The owner had a recent tragic loss so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and wish him all the best. Thank you and Prayers.
