Private and spacious Princeville cottage

Host was wonderful. The unit had all the necessary amenities.

This was a great place to stay. Clean with nice kitchen. We loved the back deck with lush yard. The roosters were a bit noisy in the mornings but to be expected. We would stay here again.

This home was gorgeous and cozy, the property was beautiful and there was all the amenities needed to enjoy our stay. We loved how close the cottage was to a trail that led to the beach. The hosts were great help when we had issues with Vrbo trying to check in. And also provided great guides for food, fun, views, and beaches on the island. A truly wonderful stay!

Host was very prompt with replies. Very cute place but property needs a good deep cleaning to include floors, grout and baseboards. I felt like I needed to mop the floors after we first walked in, but there is no mop or bucket. Unit needs paint throughout as well. Ceiling fans are spinning the wrong way so they’re not effective. Because it is so hot and humid in Kauai, AC would make things a lot more comfortable. Supplies were ample as far as kitchen and bathrooms and supplied plenty of linens. Sorry it’s not a better review.

Spacious and gracious 1 br Princeville hale. Our second stay.

Spent the month of July on this beautiful island of Kauai. The scenery in Princeville & Hanalei takes your breath away. Kudos to Jeff & Joanna Porter for creating this little gem in paradise.

Loved the place but be aware of the heavy traffic that starts at 4:30 am down on Willey Road which runs right next to the property (bedroom) :-(Beautiful backyard (garden).Missing a fully covered lanai, (at least portion of it) since it rained mostly during dinner time.

Loved the size, full kitchen, and the vibes of the decor. Perfect for what we needed to explore the north shore. Close to a few stores, the only downside was the beach that is closest does not have a lot of parking so not an easy access beach. But on the island you can find one within driving distance! :)

It was a nice condo. It was a busy place as are all the places I have stayed in Kauai so far. This was ni the nicest place we have ever stayed in, in Kauai. The kitchen was fully stocked with your cooking essential cooking utensils and appliances, the house is beautifully decorated. We did not spend much time there as we were off sightseeing and they were painting the condos anyway. Many people around walking to the beach and walking through the property's backyard and walking around the property which was fine as I said, we were off sightseeing during the days and that is typical for Kauai. The bungalow was very well equipped, we had everything we needed to enjoy the water, beach, and down time inside. We were very appreciative of the many available fans because it is very warm and humid compared to our typical home in Washington state!The guest books were filled with great reviews, but also with suggestions of things to do on the island so I highly recommend looking through those to get recommendations. It was great that they were there from several years back and we benefited from the information. One thing to note, the trail to the beach is a little longer than we anticipated. Not problematic, but just be prepared that you are not right on the beach.Very clean! We would totally stay again!

This place was an excellent fit for exploring the North side of the island! It is such a stunning bungalow, and the price for what you get is absolutely unbelievable. The kitchen is incredible, the layout is phenomenal for adding a sense of privacy, but also allowing wonderful spaces to have meals together after a long day of adventuring. Comfortable for our family of four, beautifully decorated and finished, beautiful back deck, and so close to some of the most beautiful places the North Shore offers. Loved all of the plants and geckos and baby chicks surrounding the property. Was always cool, and the owners were kind and responsive. Such a gem of a place to stay!

Very nice little bungalow (the pictures don't do it justice ;)), beautifully decorated and comfortable in a nice and quiet environment. The only downside for us was that the closest beach was a hike away and we could not swim there. Otherwise, very beautiful and quiet. I would highly recommend it.

Everything just a described. Beautiful, cozy and private. Much preferred way to stay in Kauai than the hotels and resorts.

Great lil private bungalow. We enjoyed our stay, was very comfortable. Bath towels could be changed out as they were mildew smelling. Good location and easy access.

This place is a little slice of heaven. It is well located with access to the beach and local shopping. The bungalow itself is very comfortable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Kauai

Overall wonderful stay! Spacious, clean, beautiful indoors and outdoors. Great BBQ to cook fish we caught in Port Allen. Nice neighborhood, and we loved the walk/hike trail to Wyllie’s and Anini beaches. Dropped 1 star just because there was no WiFi (not even a choice on the list of available networks). A detailed instruction book in the condo suggested ways to use a modem, but noted internet may not be available. That’s okay since the location is North Shore, but they should not list WiFi as an amenity in the VRBO description. An otherwise fantastic place and we would return.

Great place! Kitchen is well stocked. We loved sitting out back - it’s like you’re in the jungle.

The property was as advertised. It is in a group of other properties but is tucked in the back and very private. The property was clean and had great Hawaiian decor right down to window louvers. Architecture was interesting. We like the way the place was set up. Fans were quiet. Neighbors were quiet. Landscaping was attractive. Good location to explore the North part of the island. All around good experience except for the weather, which no one can control. Good local grocery store and shopping area.

We've stayed in several different settings while on Kaua'i. We Appreciate the hale setting, and warm Hospitality of this particluar Host. We'll like to stay on another occassion.

The house was PERFECT! Everything was clean and ready. We had everything we needed. It was private but close to the Princeville center. It was relaxing and beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful bungalow! The backyard and gardens are gorgeous and peaceful. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and enjoyed having a trail to the beach. The pool is very clean and parking was convenient. We really enjoyed the farmers market and close travel to Hanalei and other beaches. Thank you!!!

Had a great stay at Jeff's place. Clean, well equipped kitchen and beach accessories ( coolers, chairs, recreation equip. including fins, masks and reef shoes! ) all in excellent condition. Quiet complex but there is traffic noise from the street that is unfortunately on bedroom side. I would definitely recommend earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. That was the only negative and would not be a dealbreaker for me to rent this place again. Thanks Jeff

We had stayed here before, and it was even better than we remembered! The location was perfect and it was easy to travel everywhere on the island from here. The place itself was clean, cozy and peaceful. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We will be back for sure!!

Beautiful home and nicely furnished. Very clean. Gorgeous private lanai. Location was good for us. Host was great. As noted in description the house does not have air cond. Since it rained several days the humidity was over the top. And the bedroom was warm at night. We did use both fans which allowed us to sleep ok. Extremely small living room Tv if that matters to you, it did to us in the evenings.

This cottage is in a perfect location for exploring Morth Shore Kauai ( our favorite area’). It’s a comfortable, well equipped accommodation. We enjoyed the large lanai set in the lush garden and the easy walk to the Princeville Center for Farmers Markets , groceries, whatever else we needed. It’s also an easy drive e to our favorite beaches, Kalihiwai and Hanalei Bay! Jeff was extremely quick to respond to any questions too. We’d absustsy here again when we return to Kauai!!

Lovely decorated and comfortable cottage. Full of all kitchen necessities, great WiFi, beautiful lanai and a cozy bed….super clean. Minutes to beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. The host quickly and respectfully responded to all questions. We will definitely be back.

Lovely home in a convenient location for several North Shore excursions. We really enjoyed our stay.

Had a lovely two weeks in this rental. The owner has all the necessities available which is helpful. Private grill on lanai was used daily, bed was marvelous, pool is easy access from rental, and personally I loved the chickens. If it bothers you plug in a fan for white noise. Easy walk to Princeville or down to beach. Washer/dryer is a must for me and nearest laundromat is not convenient so that alone made it worth the money. Great decorations make it feel like home I can’t say enough about how great this place was.

Lots of positives: comfortable bed, location, clean, spacious, beach equipment, etc. So-so issues: day time ceiling fan noisy, close to road, step down dining and study area steps.

The location was great and the cottage was perfect for our family of 5. We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen, communication and ease of check in.

We absolutely loved our time in beautiful Kauai and your bungalow was a huge part of the reason. The perfectly equipped kitchen, the comfy Tempur-Pedicure mattress with new linens, and beach paraphernalia was appreciated. Obviously the house was super clean. The lanai was a delightful spot to cooldown and refresh after a day at the beach. Thank you for sharing a slice of paradise with us🤗

This was simply perfect. The location was amazing with an intense but worth it hike down to the far side of anini beach minutes away from the door. It was secluded from the rest of the community, giving some real privacy. The home itself was just beautiful. I couldn’t recommend this more and we’ll certainly be back.

We spent a wonderful 4 days here while we explored the North Shore. It’s a great location and the place has everything to feel at home.

Walked down the street/hill to great beach. Went to Kileaua, Hanalei. Great location for these spots. Spectacular sunset from the overlook above Hanalei Very quiet except for Kauai’s ubiquitous roosters! Would definitely stay again

Beautiful little place with everything you could want. Full kitchen with cooking supplies, pots, pans, plates, the works. Washer, Dryer, parking and awesome communication with Jeff, the owner. We really loved staying here with the exception of the noise. If I were a heavier sleeper, this place would have been perfect. Unfortunately due to the proximity to the street and the open air aspects of the home, the Kauai roosters made it difficult for us to get a good night’s sleep every night. Ear plugs helped but unfortunately for us, we won’t be able to stay here again. But solely for that noise reason. Everything else about this place is charming, great amenities, location, and exceptional hosts.
