Prince Kuhio #205, Ocean View, sunny south shore Poipu area

We had the best time in Kauai! The view from the balcony was amazing! The space was absolutely wonderful. It was clean, had all the things you need for cooking, walking distance from the beach. We loved the covered parking garage. The bed was sooo comfortable. We loved walking around the grounds and looking at all the flowers and ponds. The peopleStaying around us were so nice and welcoming. Finding the condo was easy, check in was a breeze, and communication with host was top notch. We appreciate Jim being so helpful with wonderful tips on his favorite spots! We would 100% stay here again. Already planning our next trip.

Good location and a nice pool

Fantastic location with great view of soothing crashing waves. It's steps from a beach n restaurant, plus lots more within a mile. Great communication from owner. Koloa rocks!

We loved this property! It was clean, comfortable and in the best location! In our opinion, the snorkeling by Boss Frog’s (across the street) was the best we’ve seen. Photo is the sunrise view from the deck. We hope to come back soon. Mahalo, Jim and Greg!

The home was clean and organized and offered a number of amenities I hadn't expected but greatly enjoyed! I would definitely stay here again.

We did not use pool or bbq area but enjoyed the beautiful setting. My friend and I appreciated the cleanliness, the fully equipped kitchen and, especially the sitting area to enjoy the sunrise and for relaxation.

Felt very safe , views from unit were outstanding…looking out at the Prince Kuhio Park and the sea …lulled to sleep with the waves upon the rocks on the shoreline…only drawback was no a/c…there is always a trade wind breeze but it was still very warm.

If you are looking for a condo which looks and smells like the 60s then this is your place. Bugs everywhere. We shut all doors and as there is no AC, needless to say we had a miserable night. Kitchen was terrible. Glasses were dirty and had numerous water stains. Utensils were dirty and one knife handle had grease on it. The coffee maker was dirty. Refrigerator door was taped together with duct tape. Sheets had yellow stains which looked like urine stains. Comforter had dark stains on it. Throw pillows had numerous stains. Easy to see stains as pillow was gold. Weather stripping missing from front door, therefore, bugs in the condo. Both of us had bug bites after the overnight stay. Sliding screen had a patch to cover a hole. We were not advised there were 15 steps to reach the second floor. Extremely hard to carry large luggage. The balcony is about 2 feet wide and not nearly enough room for two adults. We have been visiting Kauai since 1984 as we have family who arrived Kauai in the 1800s. Booked thousands of dollars on different activities for 8 days. This is by far the worst place we have ever stayed. When we checked out the next morning, Jim Boitnott, one of the owners, called asking if we were moving out. His manager went to our condo and found there was no luggage in the room. Not once did he ask if there was a problem. He asked three times if we were going to be staying in the condo. It appears he was going to rent it out again.

Room was nice and comfortable and love the decor, everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Apartment & property are gorgeous. It was perfect for 2. Only downside, no A/C with 90 degree summer heat.The pool is beautiful & welcome respite.

Great location on Kuaui on the South shore near Koloa. There is a good view of the ocean from condo. We did not like the closed in Lanai. Also there were curtains that obscured the view of the water in the middle of the full length windows providing a view of the ocean. You have to take a short walk to Lawai beach to watch the sunset. The other thing to know is that there are a lot of feral chickens, which means roosters in the morning.

Perfect size for 2. Comfortable and affordable. Great owners.We had a wonderful 10th anniversary. Everything we needed.

We stayed in this adorable condo for a week and it was a perfect home base for our vacation. The condo was clean and well stocked and right by the ocean. We loved it and would stay there again.

Clean, easy, and great!

We had a great time at this condo, the location is amazing with a great snorkeling beach right across the street. Parking was easy and the condo was very clean. The host was very responsive and helpful if needed, and the check in/out process was very easy.

The property is beautiful! The pool is really nice. It’s quiet and a great location.

This is a great place to stay, especially to explore the southern side of Kauai. The condo is super clean and well equipped with everything you need for meals. The furniture is comfortable, especially for a VRBO. Plenty of beach towels and linens. The grounds are beautiful, the pool area is fantastic and #205 overlooks a gorgeous park. Lots of chickens and the roosters start their day very early, so be aware of that. The walls are fairly thin, I would say, but nothing different than any other condo and it's a fairly quiet complex overall. There is a place to snorkel just across the road, there is also a walking path next to the street as well that makes it easy to get in a good walk (Poipu beach is about 1.5 miles away). Laundry room on site with standard prices and has a sink. Owners were responsive to any texts etc. Highly recommended!

Even though it was brief, we had a wonderful stay at this condo, even though it was brief. It had a lovely garden and ocean view and a gorgeous, breezy sun room that made it so easy to relax. The hosts were incredibly kind, accommodating and communicative, ensuring everything went smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay – highly recommend!

Excellent location.

This condo was in a great location and has beautiful views. The picture does show a table on the balcony, but there was no furniture on balcony for our visit. Unfortunately, when we got there, they were working on the water so we had no water for over 5 hours. If we would have known, we would have moved things around. I honestly think it was just an oversight of communication, but really put a damper on our first night. I think it’s important to note that there is no AC and you can’t leave the windows/doors open when you leave so coming back it can be a little stuffy. But overall, this was a great place to enjoy Kauai.

Overall the condo was pretty much as advertised on the listing. The location was great and central to everything on the island. The only minor issue was around parking. We had to park in the garage the first night and all of the parking spots designated for the Prince Kuhio condos in the garage were full. We were able to talk to the guy monitoring the parking garage and he let us park in a spot which was reserved for the condo complex next door. We were able to get a parking spot in the garage or the front parking lot the remainder of the stay. Only other minor complaint was that the outside deck was pretty much unusable since it was too small to put a chair or table for sitting. It would be nice if it was a few feet deeper to allow sitting outside similar to the units below it or further down the row. The sitting room inside the unit was nice though and we were able to open the door to the deck when sitting there.

Such a wonderful location.

Nice quiet complex with walking distance to three small quiet beaches. Owner very accessible for any assistance. 20 minutes from the airport and a low traffic area.

WiFi didn’t populate and there was no password as stated on modem

This was a wonderful place to stay for two adults to enjoy the Poipu area. It is a thoughtfully designed space that lives much larger than the actual square footage. It is well supplied and made us feel as if whatever we needed was there. A special aspect is that it is short walking distance to one of the more rewarding accessible snorkeling spots on the South Shore in front of the Beach House Restaurant. Jim, the owner, was extremely responsive and a very nice person to interact with. Hard to imagine someone being disappointed to stay at PK205

It was spectacular waking up to the ocean view. Will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic place to stay! Had everything we needed & more. Within walking distance to shopping & many places to eat. Throughly enjoyed our time there, would stay again.

This place was a great hub for our south shore activities. We enjoyed our view, the kitchen, the property was gorgeous, ease of parking, and great communication from the hosts. Also, the property manager was really nice and helpful. It’s important to leave the key in the lock box at all times (which I was informed to do before but totally spaced on). This is important because the wind could cause like a vacuum in the condo and shut the door unintentionally. I went inside the condo and put my stuff down (along with the door key) and then stepped outside to see what my boyfriend was doing and the door shut behind me. The property workers were helpful in this situation and getting us back inside. Just keep the key in the lockbox at all times and don’t do what I did. Anyways, everything was clean and we had everything we needed to make breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed watching the chickens in Kuhio park. Bring quarters to do laundry. The housekeepers like to use the laundry facilities in the mornings.

Great location with wonderful views of the park and ocean. The gardens and pool are well-maintained and very beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time to Kauai. We did a very laid back trip this time. We knew where we wanted to go back to revisit/hike. Any time we reached out to Jim he was very quick to respond back to our inquiries. Great location to watch the sunset.

We immensely enjoyed our stay… The only thing wrong with it, is that we were not able to stay longer… If we come back to Hawaii, we would definitely consider staying here again!

No A/C, the listing was honest but it was extra difficult to manage due to the birds, having the windows and doors open made the stay tolerable but difficult to sleep… but having to keep them open and listening to the infestation of rosters and crazy parakeets every night and morning like clock work made sleeping in or relaxing impossible! Condo was very well equipped and nice otherwise, pool was nice. The island is amazing and overall we had a great time there.

This was a lovely home away from home, with a fantastic view, plenty of space for 2, and convenient access to all Kauai delights. Absence of AC was offset by nice fans (couldn't turn the bedroom off) and ocean breeze.

Perfect location for a wedding at the Beach House Restaurant across the street. Nice covered parking and cool breeze with windows and fans - no need for AC. Nothing fancy but clean and pictures depict the unit accurately. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was well stocked. I definitely would stay here again.

Everything was great!!!

The condo doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles but for the price and what you get it’s all you would ever need. The kitchen is even a little bigger than the pictures show which was a nice surprise. We would 100% stay here again next time we are in Kauai and don’t want to pay the resort prices, plus Jim was fantastic, really cared about your experience/stay.

Very comfortable condo, with great access to beaches and snorkeling! Also a beautiful spot to watch the sun set.

The location was perfect and the size of the apartment was great. The pots and pans were dirty so we needed to clean before using them but other than that everything was great.

Great space, fully equipped, wonderful views and breeze. Wonderful beach great for swimming and snorkeling. Highly recommend and would stay again.

We loved our stay @ this one BR condo with an ocean view over looking Prince Kuhio park. It was well equipped with everything we needed. It is in an excellent complex with friendly people & a wonderful location. We highly recommend it.

It is a great general location for many things. Spoke with the owner over a minor issue, and he quickly resolved it.

Ocean and park view…located just across from a great snorkeling beach and the Beach House Restaurant, not to mention Riptides Shave Ice
