Poipu Palms #102 Oceanfront, pool, near beach

What a beautiful rental. The view is amazing! It’s very close to Brenneke’s beach- although the walk along the road is a little perilous at times! Watch for cars!We stayed 3 nights with our 2 teenagers. The rental was small but open and airy. We were cool at night without a/c with the windows open and the fans on. The rental was well equipped with everything we needed. Parking is great- always a spot when we needed it. The pool is small but a great spot to sit and lots of seating. I was worried reading previous reviews about roaches in the rental. They had just sprayed before we came and we saw 2 carcasses but no live bugs. It was not an issue at all for us. I was relieved. Overall a wonderful stay!

We stayed from4/20-4/30/2026. This is our third year in a row staying in this complex and we keep returning bc of the views and generally we really enjoy the complex. This year we experienced some downsides in this unit. Positives: the view is perfect. We enjoy the pool even though it was closed for maintenance from 4/20-4/24. The grounds are well kept and the area is generally quiet and in very close proximity to Poipu beach. The condo is spacious for us and has the amenities that you would need. Washer and dryer were great to have and we appreciated having the detergent there.Negatives: the condo was not as clean as I would have liked. The walls looked like they needed a good scrubbing and there was food particles in the kitchen. When we arrived I looked in the kitchen to see what we had and it was well stocked. However, the drawer by the fridge had dropping in it from bugs. We found several large dead roaches and one was stuck to the pan we were going to use for breakfast. The drawer with the droppings seemed to be home for some of the live big roaches. We found ones in the silverware drawer as well. The day we left there was a half dead one on the kitchen counter. The front door has two doors…a solid one and one that has slats to let air in. The screen in the bottom portion was missing. I did reach out to property management during our stay and was told that the roaches are normal in Hawaii but we never experience this before!

We had a wonderful time staying here while visiting Kauai. The condo fit our needs perfectly and was located in a great area near the beach and numerous restaurants. Despite no air conditioning, the sea breezes and provided fans kept everyone very comfortable. Contact with the property owner was flawless. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us!

The beds were hard, found a cockroach in a kitchen drawer.

The condo was perfect! Cool and comfortable. The view is unbeatable. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms were clean. The property and pool area were very well maintained. Great location - easy walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed this little condo. We had everything that we needed and enjoyed watching the whales and dolphins from the lanai. Pretty peaceful and quiet most of the time.

Recommendations- clean more thoroughly- ie silverware holders, space between frig &counter, closet floors, replace pillows, sheets (both very old, sheets pilled), offer two sets of sheets, increase roach prevention. Positives - great view, great maintenance service for disposal leak, great location

Absolutely. Holly was wonderful. Her communication skills were outstanding. She answered every question almost immediately and took action right away when there were any issues. The condo was one the best equipped of any that I have ever stayed in.

Location was nice, host was responsive, but overall the condo was not very clean. We had to remove numerous cockroaches - dead and alive. We understand that this is part of tropical living but given the overall condition of the condo it felt like neglect. There was lots of dust and dirt under the bed and in the corners. The toilet in the master bedroom clogged with every use. We had to use a plunger on every flush. The stove top was unreadable. It felt like the condo was in need of updating and a deep clean.

Amazing view!!!

Our first impression was not that great, as the unit was stuffy and smelled like cleaning solution. That quickly improved though once we opened up and the ocean breezes brought fresh air. The location is ideal along the south coast, just a short walk to Shipwreck and Poipu beaches. The deck and pool area overlook the crashing ocean waves. The kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed the beach gear, including the snorkeling equipment. Overall, the unit could benefit from a deep cleaning and perhaps some updating, but the location, view, and deck/pool area made for a nice stay in Poipu.

Great location and view. Our only complaint was the king bed was low to the ground and very firm.

The property location was perfect, and the deck pool was fantastic. Check-in and check-out were both very easy. However, the condo could have been cleaner. I understand there are bugs on the island, but we did find a roach in the cabinet and the silverware drawer. The condo also had an unpleasant smell when we arrived—it took a couple of days to air it out. It was also quite dirty under the beds. Since guests pay a cleaning fee, it might be worth hiring a different cleaning service to ensure a higher standard.

Amazing location. Would have loved to stay forever. The view is amazing and such a short walk to Poipu beach. Highly recommend. Mahalo

This truly is an amazing VRBO located in a great part of Poipo. We were so close to everything! Beach is walkable but also easy to drive and park. The view from the balcony was breathtaking our first morning! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and were sad to leave! Definitely recommend if staying on the south side of the island! Will be coming back for sure!

First time visiting Kauai and couldn't have picked a more perfect place. Everything was as described except for the beautiful view which could only be seen to be understood. Perfect location to everything. Will plan to visit again and stay at this same location! Loved!!!

This condo is in a great central location to see the beautiful Southern part of Kauai as well as a base to go on trips to other parts of the island. It’s within walking distance to a couple of great beaches and several restaurants. The ocean view is amazing and we were treated to Humpback whale sightings from our Lanai on an almost daily basis. There were plenty of fans and screened windows as well as a large sliding door with screen to bring in the wonderful ocean air. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It was very comfortable and more than adequate for our family of four.

Beautiful location and property! Host was wonderful and great at communication. No A/C so if you need to sleep in a temperature regulated place, probably not for you. Our room temp at night was 77 degrees which was a little too warm.

Saw a roach and took a picture of it in the bathroom. The property manager was dismissive of my concerns about it. Spent many vacations and also lived in the tropics for two years. Never saw a roach in any of my accomodations and residences. For the price per night, I'm not paying to see a single roach. Had no issue at a less expensive hotel, on the beach, first floor in Kuaui.

There were enough fans for ventilation and space for a group of four people. We walked to the surrounding beaches and hiked to Shipwreck. Awesome! But, also would like to say thank you to Nani, the property host, and the cleaners for their patience and understanding. Our flight got cancelled due to the cyber attack impacting computers worldwide and Nani was very helpful trying to accommodate us in case we were not able to fly out. Loved the place we stayed in and their great staff. Thank you!

Great place, staying here second year in a row. Great location, wonderful view, the place has everthing you need to stay in Poipu area. Removing one point was because the contact from the property management company was not super helpful or responsive. All in all highly recommend staying in this place and I would love to come back here in the future.

The property is an excellent choice for the value! Located near the beaches so you can walk there. Very quiet and your neighbors around you are also very nice and quiet. Our host, Nani, was extremely responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Plenty of beach gear in the storage room on the lanai. Plenty of supplies in the locker chest on the lanai but if you need anything just text, Nani…she’ll take care of it. Pretty secure location…super safe to walk around at night or down to the beach. Overall family and I loved the property and the area. I highly recommend this property!

Loved it! The condo is stylishly appointed and had everything we needed for our weeks stay including all kitchen/bath needs, laundry, beach towels, boogie boards etc. It felt secure and safe. Everyone we encountered (owners & renters) were kind and considerate. Parking was always available. We loved being able to walk to Brennecke beach for boogie boarding. You can walk a bit further to check out additional hotels and restaurants. The Heritage trail is the other direction-a very cool coastal hike. All in all a great location for good weather (less rain) and close by activities! Two thumbs up!

We enjoyed our stay with morning walks to the beach and quick drives to shopping & area adventures. We will be back to make more memories.
