Plumeria House, Poipu Beach, Koloa Home with a View

Lovely house in a perfect location. Comfortable, clean furnishings and everything you could need for home and the beach. A real plus for travelers with small children with high chairs and baby beds complete with linens. Incredible Blackstone grill for nightly cooking with relaxing pool and deck for outdoor fun.

It was great having a standalone house with lots of space for our family to gather.

We booked the Plumeria House for a week during the Christmas holiday 2025 for a family trip that included 12 of us - two grandparents, two sets of parents, three grown grandchildren, two with significant others, and a five-year old grandchild. The house was perfect. Although we initially had to negotiate room arrangements, it all worked out reasonably well for everyone. The house is beautiful with everything we needed for cooking, having pool-side barbecues, lounging around and in the pool, and going to the beach. The owner provided an excess of towels, bedding, pool and beach equipment/toys, and cooking and dining supplies. The house is also perfectly situated. Poipu Beach is close by, a very easy 10 minute walk, as is the walkway/trail along the ocean. Koloa Town is only a couple of minutes drive and Lihue is 20-30 minutes away depending on the traffic. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Everyone in our group loved the house and its location. The only suggestion we would make concerns the room downstairs with the futons. Although the grandkids who stayed in that room did not complain, having a couple of real beds with new mattresses would have been ideal. Nevertheless, we were all extremely pleased with the rental and would rent it again in an instant for a return visit.

No hot water, no clothes dryer, no stove for 3 days. propane tank was empty. When company came to fill tank they discovered big propane leak. That evening handy man filled house with propane. Owner did not care he put us in danger. Swimming pool step rail loose. Multiple bare electrical wires near trash and recycling.

The house had Hawaiian music playing when we first got there. The Blackstone was perfect for cooking for the family. The propane was empty but the host made sure to get is a new one within an hour. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation! The location was so perfect, just a few minute walk to the beach with sea turtles, boogie bording, a restaurant, shaved ice. Other shopping centers with good restaurants were nearby. The views from the living room were awesome! The kids loved the pool every day!

The Plumeria House was perfect for our family of 12! Everyone had their own space and we could gather in the living area all together. There was everything we needed from beach towels, beach toys, wagons, umbrellas, etc! It was perfect for us! We loved being close enough to walk to the beach! Such a beautiful view, too! Craig was a wonderful host and we appreciated being able to put our luggage and some food in the house before our check in time! Thank you so much!

The house had a fully stocked kitchen that we took full advantage of. Location was very convenient. We had a great time. Lots of pool and beach amenities at our disposal.

The pool was the best with the kids. So nice not to have to walk to the pool.

The house is well equipped in the kitchen and extras around the house. The property manager was very responsive to any questions we had.

We loved having the pool for the 9 yr old, and waking up to beautiful sunrises every morning with coffee on the front porch.

We love this property!Our whole family stayed there 3 years ago for our 50th wedding anniversary.Now we brought our friends celebrating their 50th anniversary and cousins ,who had never been to Kauai.Perfect place for walking to beaches and shops and restaurants. Great to have pool at the house, too.

Our family had a great time! Beautiful home in a perfect location in Poipu. Plenty of space. The private pool was a fantastic bonus. Would love to stay here again.

We had the most amazing time at the plumeria house. Our family, all 11 of us, were so happy with the beauty and layout of the home. We spent a lot of time out on the patio watching the grandkids swim while visiting and playing games with our kids. We loved going to Poipu beach. The sea turtles would come up to the beach and rest every evening. We could watch the sunrise in thr master bedroom suite. Such an amazing vacation.

The Plumeria House was the perfect location to Koloa and beaches. It offered ample space for 3 families and great areas for relaxing by the pool and dining outside.

We came to Kauai for our 40th wedding anniversary with our kids and grands. All I can say is WOW, we had such a great time. Everything we needed was there, including sand toys, snorkel equipment, life vests/floats, books, games, etc. Poipu beach is real close. Having the pool on the deck was so much fun, and the kids all improved with their swimming! We were able to have my husband's sisters and family come over to visit, he is from Hawaii and we had the best time. Kitchen is well stocked, too. Highly recommend this beautiful property!!

House offered enough room for 6 adults and children (8,5,4,2). Great location to enjoy sunrises with view of mountains and partial views of ocean. Walking to Poipu Beach for sunsets and turtles. Good location to explore the South and West side of Kauai. The pool was great for the kids.

Location was great and plenty of space. Had trouble with outdoor grill which made dinner preparation lengthy. Eventually they got grill working better. Enjoyed our family time in beautiful area!

The property was in a fabulous location close to other family members at the resorts. Beautiful “lived in” home that was welcoming and comfortable without feeling like a manicured resort. Family friendly pool for the keikis, just enough for the little ones to get wet or for the adults to cool off in the evening. Great views of the mountains after being on the beach all day. This home is everything you could ask for when staying in Poipu. Great location, clean, plenty of room, very well equipped, and having the private pool was amazing. The owners were great and very easy to communicate with. We came with two other couples and we each had plenty of space and privacy. It would be perfect for a large family as well. Would definitely come back to this home!!!

This property was perfect for our group of 8! Lots of space, clean and open layout, and great toys for the beach. Kitchen had ample room for our group and all the things to make perfect dinners. Would love to come back any day!

The house was awesome! Lots of space and bonus room. The pool was perfect size. Back yard had great ratio of sun and shade spots for everyone to find what they liked. I would definitely recommend for large family or up to 4 couples.

We loved this property so much!VERY well appointed home. So nice when you don’t have to scrounge for garbage bags or dishwashing soap or spices or beach toys. It’s all here for you! Craig was very responsive in messaging. Pool was nice and warm. Not huge, but good depth and beautiful patio setup. We loved morning walks to shipwreck beach to watch the sun rise. Lots of bedrooms for a larger group, we all had our own comfortable spaces. Beds are very comfortable. Overall a 10/10 rental. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Beautiful home, well managed.

Beautiful surroundings and excellent accommodations made perfect by planning, availability of shopping, and White Ginger Catering for our Luau. We got to enjoy our family and explore Kauai on our own. The property was the perfect setting…Thank You Craig.

Great house when needing multiple primary suites. The two rooms on the ground floor share one bath, and the other two bedrooms have their own. The kitchen is very well equipped and the outdoor areas are very nice. The pool is quite small and the heater was not working so we did not use it at all. Great walking access to beaches.

Great house for multi generational family group. We planned for 10 people but ended up with 7 so we had plenty of sleeping space to spread out. The house is well supplied with essentials needed when traveling. The view is phenomenal! The beds comfortable. The only observation is the steps to get to main level of home. It was a bit difficult for my 87yr old Mom but she managed with help. We would definitely book again.

This truly was the perfect home for all 11 ladies celebrating a birthday. The space, the energy, the beautiful kitchen, and the direct access to the beach and many popular spots were an absolute jackpot for this incredible and unforgettable weekend. We couldn’t spot talking about how perfect the spot was, and the sunset and sunrise views from the house were unbelievable!! The host was soooo kind and accommodating from the get go, and we truly could not thank you enough. Highly recommend!!!

We are a couple in our sixties who rented the house for Thanksgiving with our two adult children, their spouses and their children. The house was very well equipped with everything you’d need for cooking and lots of chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards for the beach. The children had their own space in the converted garage while the adults enjoyed the beautiful views from the comfortable living room on the second floor. Poipu beach is a 10-15 minute walk on a mostly pedestrian path. We didn’t use the pool much as the beach was so inviting. Would highly recommend this property for 3 couples with children.

Our whole family really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful house. Kids loved the pool, adults loved the entire house. The bedrooms, great kitchen, living room, and all the beach accessories made for a great time. Walking distance to several great beaches just added to amenities.

The location of the property was exactly what we were looking for. It was just private enough but also in the perfect spot to get anywhere we wanted to go with ease. Each couple had their own space if they felt they needed it. The outdoor area was a great place to get together. The pool was a little small but with beaches so close it wasn't needed all that much. Great house in great location. Perfect for my wife and I, our 2 kids and their spouses, and our 2 grandkids. Great views from the front deck and fantastic deck with pool out back. We ate our dinners at the large table on the deck. Easy walk to 3 beaches, one well protected for our 3 year old granddaughter and others with big waves and tide pools. Very nice interior with large living room and plenty of bedrooms. Close to Koloa with shopping and many restaurants. Easy drive to Waimea Canyon and the Napali Coast. We will definitely stay there again when back in Poipu

Had a great stay with a large family of 10. Plenty of beds, sheets, and towels. The pool was a hit and location was ideal and a short walk to beaches. Well stocked with additional amenities like protein bars, DVDs, snorkel gear, cooler, beach carts, etc. highly recommend.

So enjoyed our private suite and all the artful touches throughout the house . Privacy as needed but accommodating in every way. Everything you could ask for . Close to great restaurants. Tidepools, Keokis Paradise and La Spezia were all big hits. Absolutely love Kauai and the islands of Aloha.

Fantastic stay at the Plumeria House! The home offered all the space and amenities for a large, multigenerational family. We appreciated the many sand toys, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, masks and snorkels, boogie boards and wagons to cart everything to the beach. The large game room slept several of the younger generation. The pool was perfect to cool off in. A highlight, waking up to the amazing view from the main living areas with large picture windows. All the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. Craig, the owner, and his family epitomized "aloha spirit" being the nicest to deal with. They have added fine touches guaranteeing a lovely and memorable stay.

We loved the house with the wrap around porch, pool, swim essentials and beautiful views. Provided were all the items we needed to use the kitchen, bbq, tv, books and free wifi. We had travel problems with flights due to the microsoft glitch but the vrbo and the owners were so accomodating and patient with us. We felt very blessed. We would do it all over again.

My family all came to Hawaii to celebrate my Mom and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. This house was perfect for all 11 of us! It had all of the amenities that allowed us to cook as a family, swim and go to the beach. I am so grateful to have had this experience and for this beautiful home to share with my family. Very roomy and convenient location. Super easy to contact the property manager for any questions, they were also very accommodating. It was great to have a pool on the property for the kids.

Plumeria House was the perfect place for our three generation family vacation! The layout provides three split separate sleeping areas for everyone to have their own space. Fully stocked roomy kitchen with everything we needed. There enough beach chairs and boogie boards for all. The wagon was a big plus too! We especially appreciated the warm outside shower after the beach. Stunning views from the house and a quick walk to either Brennecke's/Poipu Beach or Shipwreck Beach and to Kalapaki Joe's. Highly recommend Plumeria House and hope to come back again.

The house was absolutely amazing us and our guest loved it. We had a group of 10 with us and it worked out perfectly! There were all the snorkeling and beach gear you needed and you will be a 5 min drive from the beach. The view is breath taking. We are already talking about doing another trip to this location! Trip suggestion: Go to Puka dog, Kauai Juice co they are right down the street, if you have a Costco card get your gas there

This home makes for a fabulous stay. It is meticulously prepared for a very warm welcome. The home is a 3-minute drive or a gorgeous 10-minute walk from the beach. A lot of beach gear is ready for use. We stayed for a very special family gathering that this home fit beautifully. We would love to come back one day.

Beautiful views! Short walk to beaches- even for the little ones. Beaches were beautiful. The house was perfect for our family with different areas for each family. It had everything we needed plus more -like beach toys, life jackets, pool toys. Our four year old spent more time in the pool than anywhere. We had the best time and hope to return here soon!
