Spread across historic plantation grounds, the community puts Poipu Shopping Village and the Poipu Beach Athletic Club within a few minutes' walk. When the saltwater has done its job, the club's pool, hot tub, tennis, and fitness room give everyone another way to spend the afternoon. Poipu Beach is also close by for more shoreline time. This is an easy choice for a family or couple who wants Kauai's south shore right outside the door without filling every day with driving.
The Space:
This one bedroom condo is a comfortable reset between Poipu beach days, with garden views, a private lanai, air conditioning, and a full kitchen for meals at home. Two beds sleep up to four, and the washer and dryer are there when towels and swimwear need a quick refresh. Settle into the living area after the beach or take dinner outside when the evening cools down.
Guest Access:
This home at Kiahuna Plantation offers access to the resort's communal pool, hot tub, and gym, plus resort access and a private balcony. Set on 35 acres of landscaped gardens, the grounds provide outdoor seating a few minutes' walk from Poipu Beach.
The Neighborhood:
Kiahuna Plantation places you in the center of Poipu, Kauai's sunny south shore pocket of beaches, dining, and easy family days. Kiahuna Beach is only a few minutes on foot, and Poipu Beach is nearby for another stretch of sand. Poipu Shopping Village is close for restaurants and browsing, while the Poipu Beach Athletic Club adds a pool, hot tub, tennis, and fitness room. It is a location that lets your group walk more, drive less, and choose the beach that fits the day.
Getting Around:
Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.

- No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

- Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- The guest laundry facility at Kiahuna Plantation Resort is located at the far eastern end of the property, a shared facility available on site for guests staying in units, with hours of operation 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day.

- Repairs are set to begin on Wednesday, September 9th and slated to be completed approximately 4 weeks later in mid-October.
- Recreational areas will still be open (Games on the lawn, Restaurant will be open, fitness center & Sports court)

The place is a tad tired. Cleaning is subpar. The unit needs basic repairs. The beach chairs are nice to have but broken.The location is awesome. Parking is easy. A/C worked perfect on the hot days. Access to athletic club is a bonus!

I have to offer a mixed review for this property. Many amenities and the space was well organized. Nice welcome gifts and snacks. Good communications from Vacasa. Lots of sports equipment and towels. Good to have access to the Bach Athletic Club. Convenient parking. On the other hand, the space is dated. Needs upgrades to kitchen and bath. View from lanai is a big, brightly lit parking lot. Living room lamps never worked. Poor TV sound. This unit is not the farthest from the beach, but it almost is.

Our stay at Kiahuna Plantation was amazing! The access to Poipu Beach Athletic Club across the road was perfect after we'd tuckered ourselves out at the beach and needed some poolside relaxation. Little Fish Coffee across the road was excellent for coffee Acai bowls, and Keoki's Paradise was incredible for dinner. The condo was peaceful, quiet, had great A/C and was the perfect amount of space for our family of three. Highly recommend!
Coffee maker broke down second last morning here and the Vacasa people had a new one delivered within a couple hours! What a turnaround! Thank you, Vacasa!
RIGHT on the beach.
We have stayed at many units in the Kiahuna plantation, and it’s our favorite place to be in Kauai. The grounds are beautiful, walking distance to our favorite beaches, and the Poipu beach athletic club is great for the kids. This condo was nice and clean, not super updated but this doesn’t really matter to us. It is far in the back of the complex, so a longer walk to the beach than the others we have stayed at. Overall, we still had a lovely stay!
Amazing property! Everything was clean and the condo had everything we needed for our stay! Definitely would recommend to anyone staying in the Poipu beach area!
The unit is pretty dated, and doesnt have AC. So on the days when it's humid, if you're not use to a humid environment, it will be pretty uncomfortable to stay and sleep in. With that said, it was quite and had a gorgeous view. Parking was another thing that was an inconvenience. Not enough spaces for each unit, so each night it was a gamble if we could find a spot or not and if we would fit. We had a mid size suv and barely fit in the spots.
Close enough to walk to a good beach with snorkeling and surfing. Bonus of being able to use the Poipu athletic club across the street, which is a really nice facility.
Loved the location, loved the grounds and the whole island. Would definitely want to return. AC a bonus, some places never had any
Initially very happy with location, condition and layout, but ended with 2 deal breakers: pullout couch is literally worst I've ever experienced. And, not sure which was worse, but the upstairs unit could apparently control our lights and fan, which set off an annoying game of on/off after bedtime, waking the kids up again right after getting them to sleep
The blankets that were given smelt like urine and when we stripped the sheets off of the bed the bed was covered in pee stains. The location did not properly represent where the condo was located on site and we had to walk pretty far to the beach compared to what it had shown.
This condo was great! First, it’s in building 42, this will come in handy when trying to locate it. It’s within walking distance to several eateries, coffee!, local shows, and the shuttle stop. The shuttle was also great for getting to Old Koloa Town where there’s a grocery store and more local shops. This condo is also within walking distance to three beaches. Shop to your hearts content, eat whatever, and walk it all off. Wonderful trip, highly recommend!
