Quiet, private and everything I had hoped for. It had everything I needed and then some. Wonderful host. By no fault of their own, the internet was down and he communicated frequently about updates from the internet provider. I was lucky enough fo have a friendly visitor that, Robert tells me, is good luck!The only downside to this cottage, is that I had to leave! Highly recommend and would definitely come back.

We loved the privacy on north Maui. Coffee, treats, bottled water, and extras were there for us. Great communication with the owners from start to finish. Would stay there again!

Great location

Host was excellent with pre contacts and very welcoming when we arrived. We were surprised at how well equipped the Cottage was.

Palm Cottage is an absolute gem! It’s wonderfully quiet and peaceful, tucked away from all the rush and busyness of the big resort areas, yet still close to everything Maui has to offer. The location makes it easy to enjoy the island’s amazing beaches, activities, and sights, while giving you the perfect retreat to relax and recharge at the end of the day. If you’re looking for comfort, serenity, and a spot that feels like your own private hideaway but with quick access to all the best of Maui, this is the place. Highly recommend!

A nice, quiet place to stay that had everything we needed. Check-in and check-out was easy. Enjoyed the small towns around the area, such as Paia and Makawao. Jaws just down the hill was a great place for coffee, various food, and wood fired pizza.

All the 5 star reviews got it right! Wonderfully peaceful and the ideal location to explore the North Shoe, Paia, road to Hana etc. Just the re-charge we were hoping to get when we booked our stay. Quiet cottage surrounded by flora, swaying palms, etc. Loved our time, when we return to Maui we hope the Oswald’s are still renting, fantastic hosts!

We really enjoyed are stay here. It's very easy to find and very clean. We also appreciated the breakfast munchies. The location is walkable to a great breakfast spot (even lunch or dinner) and is very quiet. We really enjoyed just having morning coffee/tea with the sounds of the birds around the property.

This spot was perfect from being away from the tourists. The property owners made it a tranquil setting in the jungle with all the things you need.

Highly recommend! Very clean, perfect quiet location, and the snacks/coffee the hosts provided when we arrived were perfect after a long day of travel.

Palm Cottage is perfect for an adult couple who value privacy and beautiful surroundings. It’s a country place, but not remote; local towns, the beach and the Haleakala summit are all reasonably close and gorgeous. Hosts have it well stocked and communicate effectively but not intrusively. Great stay!

This was the perfect location to experience the beauty of Maui and kick off our drive on the road to Hana. The place is cozy and somewhat secluded. It was as described/pictured. Definitely will stay here again!

Everthing was as advertised. Robert answered all our questions. The property was secluded. Eveything we needed for our visits to the local community were available.

Beautiful & peaceful location

You can tell Robert and Stephanie take great pride in their VRBO and make sure their guests have a positive experience. This cottage is in a nice quiet neighborhood in Haiku with pretty landscaping and fruit trees abound. We enjoyed the lychee and grapefruit during our time. The kitchen is well stocked for any needs and they also leave some breakfast and snack items with coffee upon arrival. It’s a perfect home base to go exploring all the things to do on Maui, especially with The Road to Hana. There are air conditioning units in the bedrooms which are helpful on the hotter days. Otherwise there is a nice breeze that comes through windows and doors. We have stayed in other areas of Maui but feel a stay here provides a nice laid back experience from the hustle and bustle of the more tourist places. We also have a different perspective given our daughter lives in the area. You can’t go wrong staying at this nice cottage tucked into the beauty of Haiku.

This house provided the perfect location for driving the road to Hana and making the trip to the top of Haleakala. We enjoyed pizza at Jaws (walkable), breakfast from Baked on Maui (in Haiku),Aloha 'Aina BBQ (food truck nearby), and the breakfast treats and snacks provided by the host. It was an easy drive from the airport too.

This property was very peaceful, well cared for and well appointed. Beaches are close by and were not crowded, Hana highway minutes away.

WONDERFUL PROPERTY. VERY CLEAN AND QUIET. WELL-STOCKED WITH KITCHEN EQUIPMENT AND NICE VARIETY OF SNACKS, ETC., INCLUDING COFFEE BEANS AND ALMOND MILK. A/C NOT NEEDED DURING OUR STAY. A SHORT DRIVE TO RESTAURANTS AND GROCERIES. YOU CAN WALK TO "JAWS MARKET" FOR BREAKFAST! DEFINATELY WOULD STAY AGAIN! GREAT WINTER BREAK FOR A COUPLE OF AKRONITES.

Quiet, relaxing, and well priced. My family greatly enjoyed our stay. Robert and Stephanie do an excellent job maintaining the property and making guests feel welcome. We loved the location close to the Hana Highway and other Maui attractions such as the upcountry, Haleakala, and the central valley. The cottage was quite spacious and had all the basic kitchen amenities. Highly recommend.

Property was in the perfect location for us to see so many beautiful places.

The home and property are amazing. Everything has been updated and is extremely clean. The owner provides all you need - not just linens, towels, bath and kitchen accessories/appliances...but laundry soap, coffee, snacks (many and big variety), fans, etc.. you literally need to bring just your clothes/shoes/personal toiletries. The bed/pillows/couch/chairs/TV are very nice and comfy. Excellent quality! Lots of great instructions and communication from the owner prior to/during/after our stay. Never saw anyone at the property and so peaceful. Even though the home is located about a 45 minute drive from Kaanapali/Lahaina where we like to shop and eat, we didn't mind the drive. It's beautiful scenery and there is no comparison of staying in this amazing house with incredible property versus a hotel in Kaanapali, where we have stayed prior. The airport is just a 30 minute drive, but again a beautiful scenic drive.

The cottage was wonderful. They thought of everything to make our stay great. It was located in a quiet neighborhood. It was a great spot to stay to drive to Hana or to the top of Haleakala. The hosts were very responsive, helpful and nice. The beds were comfortable. The air-conditioning in the bedroom worked well. The check in and check out were easy. They thought about and provided so many things that made a stay great - towels, boogie boards, cooler bags, a stocked kitchen and snacks. There was parking right outside the door. We would love to stay there again.
