Quiet, Licensed, Clean & Affordable Cottage Studio with Kitchenette

Oh my gosh! What a way to start off my trip to the Hawaiian Islands. Kauai is truly a different place in mind, body, and soul (particulary). This place specifically had everything one might need to get out and discover. It was extremely comfortable with neighbors just unbelievably good!!! The combination of needs, discovery, trust, respect, friendship was all over-the-top with everyone I ran into or made friends with, and just now moving to the "big island" I think I'm wanting to come back to this stupendous place.

This place was lovely! It had all that was needed for a comfortable stay in a charming, beautiful cottage! we especially loved the back deck where we could sit and listen and watch the birds sing! The owners did a fantastic job designing their garden with their flowers & even a banana tree! We even got a few new birds for our list! The area of Princeville is fantastic to be spending time around since it’s so well maintained. We highly recommend going to the restaurant HAPPY TALK. It was a great place to eat.We can also highly recommend this fantastic lovely cottage to stay at! You won’t be disappointed!

Everything was very clean. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, a toaster oven, a microwave, drip coffee maker, a two burner table cook top, and all the utensils, dishes, pans, etc. Foodland is a short walk & the Westin has a small cafe with some grocery items. Beach acces is a short walk but quite steep. Once you are down there, it's a gorgeous sanctuary. The open air concept & fan kept us cool. Joy is amazing and was such a help getting us settled in. Roosters are active all day & night, so pack your earplugs. The little lanai is lovely. Comfortable bed. It was a perfect cottage for the two of us.

The location was perfect with shops and restaurants within walking distance. All the best beaches on the North side of the island within a 15 minute drive or less. We could cook and barbecue and the cottage was so quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

We flew in a day late due to the storm. We were greeted by Joy, the neighbor who helps out. She was lovely and a font of information for the island. We would gladly stay there again.

Very basic cottage, ok for a couple of nights. The cottage is split into two flats, so the space is quite narrow but wasn't an issue. Beautiful lush garden. The smell of the towels and bedding were quite unpleasant, would recommend bringing your own towels.

This was perfect for a couples getaway. The neighborhood was beautiful, neighbors were very friendly, and was really well maintained and nice to walk around in. The room was as described and there was some beach gear available as well as plenty of cookware and dishes. We were able to cook without any problems. Super short and beautiful drive to Hanalei. Would recommend and if I come back to this area I’ll likely stay here again.

The owner & manager were excellent to work with every step of the way. No surprises at all. The place is equipped with everything a couple will need to get to the beach for the day (lounge chairs, cooler, beach towels) and the unit is well equipped for cooking and eating in (and close to a good grocery store)

Loved the location and proximity to the pool, the path to the beach and town. Also loved that they had all the gear like beach chairs, snorkel gear and yoga mat!

we had the best week here! right when we settled in we had a lovely conversation with our neighbour joy who made our stay feel so welcoming. this place felt like home from the personalized items around the home to a closet full of beach activities.

My husband and I stayed 7 nights. It was great location to the princeville center. Neighbor Joy was sweet and helpful! Can't wait to come back! :)

Was in a convenient location and quiet neighborhood. Check in was easy, parking space right in front for easy in and out.

A cozy and quiet spot facing the golf course. It's exactly as pictured, clean and equipped with lots of cooking equipment. Having a neighbour be a second point of contact gave me a deep sense of security S I was travelling alone.

This was our first time to stay in this beautiful VRBO. The location was perfect for activities. The space was comfortable, very nicely decorated and had everything we needed while we were there. The location was walking distance from a bay where we snorkeled and got to see tropical fish and sea turtles. The host, Joy greeted us with a friendly welcome and let us know we can contact her with any needs/concerns during our stay.We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful tropical hideaway!!

We loved the quaint cottage with the Hawaiian decorations, all the amenities we needed! Place was beautiful and nice lanai with a view to the garden and the golf course. pool conveniently located. We will be back again

We found the stay comfortable and it met our needs just fine. The hostess was very nice. She greeted and treated us as friends. We were able to have an early check which was appreciated. Grocery stores were nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The check in process was easy and understandable, which was nice. There’s pool access, and a membership card that provides a discount at the foodland down the road. There isn’t AC, and the listing accurately shows that, but there’s a fan in the VRBO that worked well to keep us cool. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again!

This rental was perfect for our stay on North Shore with quick access to bars and restaurants in Princeville, Hanalei, and Kilauea. It is very quiet (until the roosters crow in the morning 😁), clean and comfortable, but no A/C, so keep that fan running and open up for cross breezes. We made great use of the Foodland membership card to purchase some staples. The fridge, hot plate, and toaster oven were perfect for our cooking needs. Val is very responsive and quick to message. Our nextdoor neighbor Joy was a sweetheart and a great local contact for this rental. The pool was very comfortable and a great way to cool off. Anini Beach was easy to get to, but part of the path is a little steep and wet, so consider that in your footwear getting down there

Just to start everything was just as advertised and I agree with 99% of the reviews that were posted on the Vrbo site. Everything we wanted to do was nearby, our hosts Joy and Les were a great help and super friendly and full of information. The kitchenette was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and a 10 minute walk to the grocery store that had everything to be could possibly need for two weeks. This place came equipped with an umbrella, several chairs, some fins and a boogie board that were of the highest quality A quick drive to as many beach options as you want Max five minutes and if you want a good workout and don’t mind walking down a steep cliff and back up, Anini beach is 10 minute walk. If you can wait till Saturday, there are fresh produce farmers markets on every corner from Princeville to Ka’a. A bonus is this property is only one story so there’s no one above you and the caretakers are next-door and they are very quiet overall, it’s an excellent price for what you get if there was one downfall it’s lacking a washer dryer, but we didn’t let that get us down 10 stars for us and we will definitely book this house again.

Nothing fancy but a nice clean property in a good complex. Close to main highway. No AC was a worry but windows open a fan during day it was very comfortable. A great value and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

My wife and I spent a week at this lovely property. The apartment had everything needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. We loved the decor and the feel of the entire place. We’re grateful for the beach equipment and gear that were provided. It was also a pleasure meeting and chatting with Joy (the neighbor). The location of the property was perfect for us. We had no trouble getting to the places we wanted to visit from there. If you’re planning a trip to Kauai just go ahead and book this place. We highly recommend it and would love to stay here again!

very clean, organized friendly place. Wake up to beautiful, singing birds Ocean breeze coming off golf course. Take the trail down to the beach. Joy was such a good joy to have as a neighbor very helpful

Comfortable accommodations. 10 minutes from Hanalei and 30 from Kapaa town. Unit has no a/c, but we were very comfortable nonetheless. Well-supplied and great neighbors Les and Joy eager to help with any issues. Would highly recommend as a value property on the N. Shore. Host Val was a pleasure to work with also.

We have been using vacation rentals for more than 10 years. I all that time we have never had a poor experience. Our experience with this one was different. When we walked into the unit the fragrance was pretty strong despite all of the windows being open. Once we put away the sources of the fragrance it smelled musty. There are no curtains other than a couple shears. The TV and Internet didn't work per VRBO instructions and required help from Joy the next door neighbor to get it working. The TV and Internet services are Joy's so you are sharing her services. During our stay the internet was out almost everyday at some point. The TV is 24". It wasn't clean. There was rodent feces on the bathroom mirror, TV cabinet, and along the walls in the unit. According the the information sheet, roaches and mold are common too. We did see moldy areas but no roaches. We did have several lizards living in the kitchen. There were several broken dishes in the kitchen cabinet and a inoperable fan as well. The host Valerie, the least helpful person I have ever dealt with. From my first contact about the key code, which she never responded too, requiring a second request three days later to our last communication, it was bad. For some reason, she expects you to be her property manager.

Great rental experience. Incredibly Beautiful environment. Everything works. Was a great place to return to after our outings during our vacation. Close to Foodland, some great beaches, and the Napali coast. Joy, the neighbor/property manager is really friendly. Would absolutely recommend.

The property is in a great location, with a very nice pool. However there was no place for 2 people to sit side-by-side; a loveseat would have been preferable to an armchair. Also more lighting is needed at the eating area. Lastly, there was an extra damage protection cost that was not indicated until after the rental charges were finalized; in all our travels, this is the only place where we incurred this kind of charge. Our overall experience was greatly enhanced by our kind and helpful neighbours.
