Property Overview
Our unit is a privately owned hotel room located in the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa.
Beautiful third floor unit with amazing views of the ocean and pools. Comfortable King bed.
The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa is a beautiful Hawaiian resort located on 25 acres of lush Garden Isle, centrally located between Kauai’s south and north shores, making it perfect for your island adventures. Only minutes from the airport, Costco, Walmart and Shopping. You will go thru a tree canopy lined drive that leads to the resort. Several acres of beach front property to enjoy and explore. On property there are four swimming pools, complete with water falls, a poolside cabana bar and grill, two jacuzzies, fitness center and day spa. Paradise will be your back yard!
KAUAI RESORT AMENITIES
• 4 swimming pools, including 2 lagoon pools, 75-ft lava tube slide, & kid-friendly sand bottom pool.
• Two whirlpool spas, one amidst a stone grotto and surrounded by lush ferns and an exotic waterfall.
• Two restaurants on site.
• Poolside Driftwood Bar and Grill
• Free Wi-Fi access in lobby, restaurants, and the pool areas.
• Hawaiian Rainforest Boutique Spa offering sauna, spa treatments, massages ect.
• Activities and tour desk.
• Ice machines, purified water machines and vending machines.

• Fridge for your food, soda, wine, etc.
• In room, blow dryer, iron, ironing board.
• There is a coffee maker in the room. (please bring the coffee and supplies you will need for the length of your stay) We will provide a starter pack for you.

4 Pool/Beach towels for use at the resort or for the beach. There is a $20.00 charge for each missing towel.

Please note that the resort will be undergoing lobby renovations through Summer 2026. During this period, check-in will take place next to the ballroom. The Outrigger team is committed to ensuring a positive experience for all guests and appreciates your understanding during these improvements.
Naupaka Terrace restaurant and Driftwood Bar & Grill (poolside) will remain open and available to serve you.
PARKING
• $40/day parking fee paid directly to Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT POLICY
• Check-in time is 4:00 PM / Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Check in procedure:
Simply check in at the front desk with your name and booking info.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
• Please note that daily maid service is not included when renting direct through VRBO. The cleaning fee included in your payment to VRBO covers cleaning/re-stocking the room after your stay.
If you would like a mid-stay cleaning (maid service) for your room it is $65 each cleaning.
As Private Unit guest you have full access to the pools, whirlpool spas, the grounds, the beach, the business center, the restaurants, the lounge, the poolside bar, live music, the fitness room, and the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa.
By renting via VRBO you avoid paying the $35 per day resort fee charged by Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort. However, the Hawaiian Cultural classes, which include classes like Hula and Lei Making are not included as part of your stay.

FAQs - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IS THIS CONDO OR A HOTEL ROOM?
Both. The resort was previously a Hilton hotel, the units are just like hotel rooms. However, they are privately owned “condotels”. The resort operates much like a hotel, and most guests are not aware that the units are privately owned. Most of the units are offered to the public through the resort or through travel sites at much higher retail prices. Although, a few are offered on VRBO at owner rates with access to the resort’s amenities.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RENTING ON VRBO vs. THE RESORT
The $$$ price and also maid service. Renting direct through VRBO saves you a lot of money. However, daily maid service is not included. The cleaning fee you pay when booking takes care of cleaning and restocking the unit after your stay.
DOES THE UNIT HAVE A KITCHEN?
No. They do not have kitchens they were previously hotel rooms.
ARE WE ABLE TO COOK IN THE UNIT?
No. Local fire ordinances do not allow cooking in any of the rooms. The resort has a microwave in the lounge area on the 5th floor of Building 2 that can be used by all guests.
WHAT IS THE RESORT’S BEACH LIKE?
The resort is located on a 3-mile stretch of beautiful beach, amazing for long walks. The beach is very scenic but, is not considered a swimmable beach as it has a decent amount of coral. The surf is also unpredictable. It's best is to go to some of Kauai's many famous beaches for swimming. Lydgate Beach park is a nearby beach that is good for swimming.
SHOULD I GET A CAR?
We recommend that you have a rental car. The resort has most everything you need to have a wonderful time and relax. A car will allow you to experience many popular attractions, buying groceries, and going to many amazing restaurants etc.
IS THERE FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE AIRPORT?
No. The shuttle service from the airport is not available to our guests. The resort does offer free shuttle service to/from the airport for guests who book through the resort. Kauai Beach Resort is close the airport which make taxi prices more reasonable. Uber also operates on the island!
ARE THERE BEACH TOWELS TO TAKE TO THE BEACH?
Your stay includes 4 pool/beach towels.
DOES THE RESORT CHARGE A RESORT FEE?
Private owner guests are not required to pay the $35 daily resort fee.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A DAILY PARKING FEE?
Yes, if you have a car the resort charges $40/day for parking. This fee is paid by the guest to Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.
DO I GET FREE WI-FI INTERNET SERVICE?
YES! Wi-Fi is FREE in all the units. The signal extends into the lobby, restaurants, bars and in the pool area!

Yes, I would recommend this property. It had a great view and very clean. The accommodations at the hotel were very good.
This resort, and specifically this room, are honestly PRIME for experiencing Kauai. The room itself is clean and well appointed, with a large mini fridge, noce bathroom, and lots of beach toys on hand. The room overlooks the pool at the perfect angle to also get a great view of the ocean, resulting in truly stunning views when you start the day. The lanai has a table and chairs so you can enjoy coffee from Starbucks on the first floor while enjoying the view. The resort itself is breathtaking: right on the ocean but with beautiful pools and hot tubs. We had a destination wedding in Kauai and used this resort as our suggested location (booking through vrbo), and everyone loved it - older parents, siblings with small kids, and couples traveling without kids. The resort is roughly equidistant between Waimea Canyon and Hanalei Bay, so you can sightsee in both directions relatively easily. On site restaurant has a great breakfast, and many great restaurants are a short drive away. This place is a steal for the value and a beautiful home base for a tropical vacation!
We loved our stay here! The resort is beautiful, and the view from the room was absolutely stunning—waking up to the sunrise over the ocean was unreal. The location made everything super easy: close to great restaurants and bars, and being just minutes from the airport was a huge plus after a long travel day. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing few days in paradise. Would totally stay here again!
Great location. pretty grounds. Resturant options great. Only downfall is that too many people go down to pool 6am and place there towels and dont show up till 10-11am. So you couldnt sit by pool.
Very convenient to excursions to the north and south end of the island plus close to the airport. Multiple pools and two hot tubs. Saw a lovely sunrise every morning. Excellent location for couples and families.
Just got home from a 10 nights stay at this property. Beautiful views of the ocean, exactly as described. The room is large, clean, and provides everything you would need and then some. Keurig coffee maker, ice bucket, safe, hair dryer, iron. There is also a cooler, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella available for use. Check in and out was simple, and as described in the listing there is an additional parking fee which you take care of with the resort. No room cleaning without an additional fee. However we were provided a complimentary cleaning halfway through the stay, likely due to the length of the stay. The room is close to the elevator, and the resort is minutes from the airport and central to everything you would need in Kauai. Communication was great, we didn’t need much of it but the property owner reached out to check in a few times. Would highly recommend this property for your stay!

The room was great. Your ads should say where we were staying. I had to search for the name and address. Also make it clear that it was a room in the resort. That wasn't clear. We loved our stay.
Visiting in October offered sunshine followed by rainfall followed by warm weather followed by cleansing rain, etc. I loved it! 😎 Kauai Beach Resort is so lovely. Yoga on the beach was a bonus. The unit needs some repair — screen door torn out and screen falling off track; hair in the sink and crumbs on the dresser. The host is super responsive. I wanted to enjoy my brief vacay, so didn’t ask for repairs. Just thinking about future stays.
We loved the amenities, from the 3 pools and 2 jacuzzis, to the outdoor bar and inside HH with live music! The view from our room was breathtaking and very comfortable for relaxation.The resort staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We would book another week long stay.
Nice room with beautiful grounds
Such a great deal for such a great location and resort. Multiple swimming pools, restaurants within the resort. We will definitely be coming back and looking for this VRBO room! Communication with property was always very prompt and very accommodating. We had a great view of the pool area. Enjoyed our stay very much.
The room was clean & comfortable, exactly as shown. The property was beautiful and well maintained, the staff was excellent as well. I liked this location as it was easy to get down to Poipu or up to Hanalei. Very close to Kapaa and to other shopping as well.

Room is nice, and the resort itself is fantastic. It’s a great place to relax when you get tired of driving around, with some great food/beverage options. We had an outstanding meal there on our last night in Kauai. Host was extremely helpful and friendly, with excellent and timely communication. Highly recommended.
The resort was nice, close to everything we wanted. However, the lights in the bathroom by the mirror didn't work or there was no way to turn them on that we could find. The refridgerator buzzed non-stop. There were 2 outlets in the room that did not work which forced us to use extension cortds and on the first night we stayed the fire alarm was triggered around 5 am. We enjoyed our stay at the resort, it was very pretty. However, for the price we expected outlets and lights that worked and not to be kept awake by buzzing appliances.
Very accommodating. Replied to all inquiries with haste and great detail. You have access to all amenities at the resort other than daily housekeeping, but if you stay 5+ days you get a complimentary housekeeping. The location has great centrality and you can get wherever you need to pretty easily. You definitely need a rental car to get around. Would book again.
